German streamer Joyn and free-to-air television channel Sat.1, both part of ProSiebenSat.1 Media, have secured the series “NCIS: Origins,” as the show’s stars Austin Stowell and Mariel Molino attended the Monte-Carlo Television Festival this week to promote the show.

The German deal came through a new content licensing deal between Paramount Global Content Distribution and Seven.One Ent. Group.

The new U.S. series from the “NCIS” franchise will be available free of charge on Joyn one week before TV broadcast, from July 22. Sat.1 will show the free-tv premiere in double episodes from July 29 at 8.15 p.m.

The CBS prequel series concluded Season 1 with “Cecilia,” an episode that fittingly put a spotlight on Cecilia “Lala” Dominguez (Mariel Molino) as her friend Lara Macy investigated Gibbs’ (Austin Stowell) involvement in the murder of sniper Pedro Hernandez. NCIS: Origins finishes its successful freshman run next Monday, April 28. The recent past becomes the primary focus as the death of Pedro Hernandez raises questions. "When the murder of Pedro Hernandez is unearthed, Gibbs (Austin Stowell) faces a reckoning. But when he needs his team most, the loyalty of one is brought into question," teases the logline for NCIS: Origins Season 1, Episode 18, "Cecilia." Everyone is forced to confront the secrets they kept as the agency sends a military investigator to suss out the details. CBS released a sneak peek of the episode, previewing the explosive events in the finale as some long-running questions get answers.

Three people can't keep a secret, and when that secret involves the murder of a famous cartel leader, it's not much of a secret. At some point, someone will come seeking answers, and the best you can hope for is that they never get them.

The team's sole focus is on the mysterious sniper Sandman, who has eluded them many times now while leaving a trail of murders. They divide and conquer as they dive into the present clues to figure out who this sniper is. Meanwhile, they get a boost from another law enforcement agency. "After the shocking developments in the Sandman case, the team works with the FBI to investigate further. While Wheeler (Patrick Fischler) struggles to hold onto his job, his family reaches a crisis point," reads the NCIS: Origins Season 1, Episode 17 logline, "Darlin', Don't Refrain." They try to make sense of the latest murder after Bugs is killed, and the investigation takes small steps forward as they find some clues.
