SiriusXM is excited to collaborate with Howard University’s Cathy Hughes School of Communications as the exclusive audio sponsor for the second annual Hip-Hop Studies Conference November 15-17, an extension of the school’s newly developed Hip-Hop Studies minor. “SiriusXM Presents: Closer to Hip-Hop Live” is a special event within the conference featuring a performance by hip-hop artist and Howard University alumnus Lady London, and will take place on November 16 at the Howard University Cramton Auditorium in Washington, D.C.

The conference, which shines a light on hip-hop culture, music, and trends, will feature inspiring speakers, engaging panels, and interactive workshops. This includes a Q&a between Lady London and Paris Nicole, host of SiriusXM’s Hip-Hop Nation, which will air on Hip-Hop Nation (ch. 44) on November 22 at 11pm Et and be available for subscribers on demand via the SiriusXM app.

Just when you think you’re out of the woods… Blue Fox Entertainment is getting set to unleash director Adam Newacheck’s psychological horror movie Stranger in the Woods, and Bloody Disgusting has been exclusively provided with release information this afternoon.

Stranger in the Woods is coming to VOD on Valentine’s Day, February 14.

Stranger in the Woods is about a woman who goes on a weekend getaway trip to the woods with her friends in hopes to recover from a traumatic event. But when her dog vanishes, their sanity unravels, leading to a chilling fight for survival.

Holly Kenney (Ethos) stars, and Kenney also wrote the screenplay. The film’s cast also includes Brendin Brown (Murder Mystery), T.A. Spencer, Devon Stewart, Paris Nicole (White Men Can’t Jump).

Blue Fox Entertainment is launching TIFF sales this week on Stranger in the Woods, Screen Daily reports today, a psychological horror movie directed by Adam Newacheck.

“Stranger in the Woods is about a woman who is taken by her friends on a weekend trip to help her recover from a traumatic event. When her dog dies, the trip begins to unravel.”

Holly Kenney stars, and Kenney also wrote the screenplay. The film’s cast also includes Devon Stewart, Paris Nicole, Brendin Brown, and Radek Antczak.

“Blue Fox Entertainment’s domestic arm will release it in the US in 2024. The international sales team will debut the film for buyers at AFM,” Screen Daily reports.
