"What's that you're always tuned into? Worth anything?" Whoa! Video game studio Bungie released this 8-minute sci-fi short as promotion for their newest game Marathon (out in September). This new 2025 version of Marathon is actually a reboot of a classic 90s video game also called Marathon - one of the first shooter games Bungie ever made, released on Mac Os in 1995. This latest update is a "team-based extraction shooter." This cinematic short film isn't representing the exact gameplay - it's created by acclaimed Spanish animation filmmaker Alberto Mielgo, who won an Academy Award for 2022's The Windshield Wiper. This cinematic short features the voices of Erica Lindbeck as Glitch, Elias Toufexis as Void, Nika Futterman as Blackbird, Donnla Hughes as Oni, and Ben Starr as the Narrator. Very cool to see Bungie let Alberto play around and come up with something unique & fun with these characters. It definitely got my attention.

Paul Walter Hauser joins as Captain Ed Hocken in the upcoming Naked Gun reboot. The remaining cast also includes Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson. After years of development hell, the movie seems to finally be in the right direction with the latest casting details.
Liam Neeson's upcoming The Naked Gun reboot movie has announced the casting of one of the franchise's original legacy characters. As one of the defining comedy franchises of the '80s and '90s, the original movie, The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad!, was released in 1988, and starred comedian Leslie Nielsen as a bumbling police lieutenant investigating a criminal plot to create mind-controlled assassins. The movie took over $152 million at the global box office and spawned two equally successful sequels, concluding with 1994's Naked Gun 33+13: The Final Insult.

The following contains majior spoilers for X-Men '97 Season 1, Episode 8, "Tolerance Is Extinction - Part 1," now streaming on Disney+.
X-Men '97 has packed a lot of plot into Season 1, so it's not surprising that the Disney+ show wants to do a three-part season finale to bring it all together. But as anyone who watched Batman: The Animated Series knows, two-part episodes are hard enough to pull off, let alone three. With "Tolerance Is Extinction - Part 1," there's a lot happening on-screen -- but on-screen action doesn't equal plot momentum. What happens in this first half-hour is largely entertaining setup for the remaining two episodes.
"Tolerance Is Extinction" does a large amount of explaining, whether it's through the newly arrived Cable or as characters talk to one another, as it reminds viewers what's at stake and reinforces all the character dynamics. The episode is comprised of three separate storylines, all of...

Tom Holland has finally opened up about whether he is set to return to the MCU as Spider-Man, and not only is that seemingly guaranteed, but the actor is also heavily involved in the creative process behind Spider-Man 4. There have been plenty of rumors about Holland’s next Spider-Man entry in the franchise, and it would be foolish to ever assume that it might not happen at some point. Now, Holland has shared a little insight into where things currently stand in respect of his web-slinging return.
Holland made an appearance at the Sands International Film Festival in St Andrews, Scotland. Although he was there in support of the short film Last Call, which was co-written and directed by his brother Harry Holland and stars Tom and Blackbird star Lindsay Duncan, it did not take long for the subject of Spider-Man to come up. Speaking to Deadline at the event,...
