Jacqueline is an existentialist Writer & Director, and a Student Emmy winning Filmmaker. She holds an MFA degree in Film Production from the University of Southern California, as the 2021 John Huston Award Recipient for Outstanding Directing. Three days after graduation, she was in Cannes promoting her official selection BACKLOG, a nominee in the American Pavilion's Emerging Filmmaker Showcase.
Jacqueline style reflects the works of Malick, Aronofsky, Gerwig, and Kubrick, where greater messages lie beneath the surface. Jacqueline's nine short films have all landed distribution, and she has been contracted by production companies throughout the world to direct shorts, features, and branded content.
Her recent short film Backlog, about the US Senate Hearing to end the National backlog of millions of untested kits and told from the perspective of the Key Witness, is currently being packaged as a Feature Film, with the script an official selection in multiple labs including in The Athena Film Festival Writer's Lab this September. The film has been written up in Forbes' Magazine, The Wrap, SLUG Magazine, and Film Threat. Her proof of concept short film Backlog, has won Best Student Film at: Cleveland International Film Festival (Oscar-Qualifier), Cordillera Film Festival, Hot Springs Women's International FF, Indie Shorts, Paris International Film Festival, Film in Focus. Backlog has also screened at LA Shorts, The Wrap ShortList, Sidewalk Film Festival, Cannes' Emerging Filmmakers and has 20 festivals in the next month including: Breckinridge FF, Catalina FF, Lady Filmmakers' FF, Chelsea FF, Imagine This Woman's FF, Burbank FF, Topaz Women's FF, and many more.
Jacqueline has participated in the following Writer/Director Fellowships: Apichatpong Weerasethakul's Creator's PlayLab (a Spanish Co-production with PlayLab Films), The Fox Fellowship, Stowe Story Labs, ETC Virtual Production Grant, Women in Film Mentee, Reel Champions Mentor, and was honored by the United Nations Development Programme for her film "For Them". She has two shorts in pre-production and two features in development, that she hopes to use to make the world a better, more sentient place for women. To a life dedicated to film!When not making films, she enjoys peaceful days at the park, learning new languages, meditating, and enjoying restful days with her partner and their two dogs.
