The 2010 remake The Karate Kid will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on October 5. This new film will be released in a standard DVD ($28.96 Srp), Blu-ray ($34.95 Srp) and a DVD/Blu-ray combo pack, which will also come with a Digital Copy of the film ($38.96 Srp). With the success of this past weekend's box office winner The Karate Kid, that film's director has confirmed his involvement in a new big-screen project. MTV Movies Blog confirmed that director Harald Zwart will be directing the film version of RollerCoaster Tycoon.
We reported on the film last month, with Zwart listed as an executive producer and possible director on the project, but now it seems he will be directing after all.
"I'm very excited to direct it, yes," he told MTV. "Given that all the planets line up right for it - you never know if a movie gets made - but that's certainly something we're all hoping for."
He also said that screenwriters Jay Scherick and David Ronn were still working on the script and he talked about how the film could be in 3D as well.
"It's going to be perceived as a totally live-action movie. That's...
