Jackson Murphy (a.k.a. Lights Camera Jackson) is a film critic, interviewer, host, producer, author, and media content entrepreneur.

Jackson began his career as a movie critic at the age of 7 1/2, sharing his reviews on an Upstate N.Y. radio station. A few years later he moved to TV, with a weekly movie reviews segment on NY's YNN network of affiliates. A March 2010 guest spot on "Fox and Friends", during which Jackson made his Oscar predictions, prompted the news/entertainment world to start taking notice (and, yes, he nailed all of his picks). In the summer of 2010 Murphy appeared on NBC's "Today" and then CBS's "The Early Show", following which he was signed as a contributing critic. In February 2011 Jackson made his first of two appearances on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno", again making his Oscar picks (and, again, he got them all correct). Along with his ongoing segments on "Today" and YNN, Jackson became a contributing critic on "The Morning Show" on Seven Net in Australia. He continues to make regular guest appearances on TV, radio and online shows, as well as at live events.

Jackson won his first NY Emmy Award in 2010, becoming the youngest winner in the (then) 53 years of that award. He is a 4-time NY Emmy nominee. In 2012 he became the youngest member of the Broadcast Film Critics Association (now Critics Choice Association), appearing on the BFCA's "Critics Choice Movie Awards"(CW) in Jan. 2013.

Currently, Jackson is the film critic for 99.5 The River (Albany, NY) and Cultjer.com. He is also the lead writer for AnimationScoop.com, for which he interviews the top content creators in the world of animation. His podcasts include the LCJ Q&A Podcast and 2Fast/2Films, which he co-hosts with fellow film critic Mike Sargent. He also created/hosts the "Back To You" podcast, which is dedicated to "the greatest one season TV show of all-time".

Murphy is a proud member of SAG-AFTRA and the NY Chapter of NATAS.
