Robert Carradine in Solitary Confinement Horror 'Human Zoo' Trailer
Robert Carradine, Ruby Handler, Amber Geneva, John E Seymore, and Rachel Amanda Bryant in Human Zoo (2020)
"The whole idea of this show is to test your will to go on." Wild Eye Releasing has unveiled an official trailer for a strange horror called Human Zoo, which is the most generic descriptive name for the film possible. The internet watches live, as reality-show contestants struggle against time to see who will stay in solitary confinement the longest and take home the one million dollar prize. The film stars Robert Carradine (the younger half-brother of David Carradine), Trista Robinson, Rachel Amanda Bryant, Jose Rosete, Jessica Cameron, Megan Le, and Heather Dorff. Even though this is supposed to be commenting on snuff films, it just looks and sounds and smells like a snuff film itself. Not sure how this can be entertaining. Here's the first official trailer (+ poster) for John E Seymore's Human Zoo, direct from YouTube: The internet watches live, as reality-show contestants struggle against time...

George A. Romero at an event for Land of the Dead (2005)
Horror Highlights: Syfy Orders Day Of The Dead TV Series, Kardiac’s “Daydreams of Crime Scenes,” A Bad Place Premiere Details
George A. Romero at an event for Land of the Dead (2005)
In today's horror highlights: Syfy moves forward with a TV series based on George A. Romero's Day of the Dead, we have a trailer and details on the latest release from Kardiac, and Jessica Cameron provides us with details on the premiere of her latest film:

Day of the Dead TV Series at Syfy:

According to Deadline, Syfy has given "10-episode straight-to series" order for a Day of the Dead TV series:

"Written by Jed Elinoff and Scott Thomas, who also will showrun, Day of the Dead is the intense story of six strangers trying to survive the first 24 hours of an undead invasion. This ode to Romero’s famous flesh-eaters reminds us that sometimes all it takes to bring people together is a horde of hungry zombies trying to rip them apart."

The series is being produced by Cartel Entertainment (who also produced Creepshow) and will on Syfy...

2019 Headshot
Jessica Cameron’s latest ‘A Bad Place’ to premier at Cinequest
2019 Headshot
Horror film darling and scream queen Jessica Cameron returns for her third time in the director’s chair with A Bad Place, a chilling vision: the story of another place, another time, where three female strangers must evade a shadowy force and their own grim pasts, as they try to find a way beyond a nightmare world that exists in a foggy edge of reality. Florence, Molly, and Collette are trapped in a world they couldn’t possibly have imagined…all running from events that happened in their lives; each forced to confront the unthinkable.

A Bad Place stars Ali Ferda, Heather Dorff, Johanna McGinley, Jim Foreman, Dylan Cinti and introduces Bella Mortensen. Cameron has always believed in producing horror films that empower female characters, and A Bad Place is a perfect addition to her repertoire as an artist. And, just like her previous films, she always provides the audience...

‘Bad Apples’ VOD Review
Stars: Brea Grant, Graham Skipper, Andrea Collins, Danielle Reverman, Hannah Prichard, Alycia Lourim, Heather Vaughn, Diane Goldner, Richard Riehle, Miles Dougal, Sandy Stoltz, Kire Horton, Sara Parrish, Jasmine St. Clair, Heather Dorff | Written and Directed by Bryan Coyne

It’s Halloween night, and two “bad apples” decide to play some wicked tricks on the one house in a suburban cul-de-sac that is not celebrating Halloween. They terrorize a young couple in their home and these tricks become increasingly more sinister as the night progresses, finally ending in a Halloween the entire neighborhood will never forget…

What does writer/director Bryan Coyne have against pregnancy and kids? His previous film, Infernal, was all about a demonic child and this one features not one, but two, evil-doing psycho kids and opens with a pregnant woman stabbed to death (a nice cameo from Heather Dorff)! Speaking of duos, gruesome two-somes seem to have...

Terror Films Brings Red Eye to Slasher Film Fans this February 9th
Tagline: "He Wants to See Your Insides." Terror Films is set to release Tristan Clay's Red Eye on digital platforms. The digital launch begins this February 9th. In the film, a West Virginian legend is found when several filmmakers head out into the woods; the results are gruesome. Red Eye stars: Jessica Cameron (Truth or Dare), Heather Dorff and Destinie Orndoff. A movie poster, trailer and early stills are hosted here. The poster and stills show lots of red. The legend of Red Eye is a murderous killer, who stalks the trails of Black Creek. The tagline for the poster reads: "he wants to see your insides." This tagline references the characters' intestines, not their deeper emotions and insights. The stills show several of the characters bloodied and bruised. The Red Eye killer does not like to share his part of the woods and everyone is under threat in this indie horror feature.

Truth or Dare (2017) Movie Review
Reviewed by Seth Metoyer

MoreHorror.com

I first covered Truth or Dare back in April of 2013 when the teaser trailer for the film dropped. Now, nearly four years later, the movie has released and I’ve finally had a chance to view it.

Truth or Dare is the directorial debut of Jessica Cameron. Horror fans are most likely familiar with Cameron through her horror acting roles. This time around she’s behind the camera and the result is a pretty stellar debut feature film.

Four years ago Cameron told me “One of my favorite things about this project is that it goes to so many of the dark places that people fear.” It’s safe to say that she accomplished that with Truth or Dare.

Truth or Dare stars Ryan Kiser (House of Manson, Crossbreed), Jessica Cameron (Mania, American Guinea Pig: The Song of Solomon), Heather Dorff (An Ending, Red Eye...

MoreHorror visits 'Queen Mary's Dark Harbor' 2016
By Jonathan Weichsel

MoreHorror.com

On Thursday September 26th I got to take everybody's favorite scream queens, Jessica Cameron and Heather Dorff, to the grand opening of Queen Mary's Dark Harbor, for a night of adventure, thrills and scares. Queen Mary's Dark Harbor has become a perennial haunted attraction in the greater Los Angeles area for good reason; it features fun mazes and a really great atmosphere in one of the best locations in La.

We went through all of the mazes, and all three of us agree that the best maze is Circus. Not only does Circus have the best scare actors, but it is also the most physically challenging maze, with a ball pit, mirror room, and other obstacles. We also enjoyed, Sideshow which features a room filled with fog and hanging white curtains, so that your visibility is limited to about six inches. We also enjoyed Panic,...

Scream Queen Jessica Cameron has just announced that her latest project – which she describes as her “first artistic horror adventure”, An Ending, which she will produce and co-direct with screenwriter Josh Chiara, begins shooting at the end of April. An Ending also stars Heather Dorff as Collette, a woman who has been in the nightmare world much longer than Florence, and Ali Ferda as Molly, a woman coming to terms with crushing guilt. ‘The Tour’ Review (Short Film)
Stars: Jessica Cameron, Heather Dorff, Tom Gordon, Annette Rickard, Robert Rickard, Julia Spence, Kris Lindsay, Courtney Frazier | Written and Directed by Alex Mathieson, Damon Rickard

Darkmoor Manor is England’s most haunted house, its doors closed to the public. It is now just part of a tour which helps attracts visitors to a struggling town. That is until the tour guide, trying to impress two attractive American visitors promises to get them inside. But none of them could be prepared for what was waiting within the shadows of the house.

The Tour is a short film which doesn’t even reach the fifteen minute mark in length. So here is my equally short review: It is the perfect way to quickly inject some horror into your day if you’re in a rush or just can’t be bothered with all that build up and other stuff which is involved in a standard length film.

Frightfest 2014: ‘Truth or Dare’ Review
Stars: Jessica Cameron, Ryan Kiser, Heather Dorff, Shelby Stehlin, Devanny Pinn, Brandon Van Vliet, Ryan Kiser, Jesse Wilson, Buz Wallick, Grae Drake, Brett Wagner | Written by Jessica Cameron, Jonathan Scott Higgins | Directed by Jessica Cameron

Uber-prolific scream queen Jessica Cameron turns director for this, her feature-film debut, Truth or Dare. which sees six friends find internet stardom as the “Truth or Daredevils”, producing truth or dare videos with a violent twist. What starts out as fame, fun and games turns deadly when their number one fan decides he wants to join in the “fun” only this time they’ll be playing by his rules…

Who would have thought that a sweet-talking blonde Canadian girl could make such a nasty, mean-spirited horror film? Not me that’s for sure. It’s surprising to think that, given all the complaints of misogyny and sexism in horror that a female director could create such a misogynistic movie!
