Sandra Bullock
Inside Sandra Bullock's New Life
Sandra Bullock
How did Sandra Bullock bounce back from a hard year? Credit her 19-month-old son Louis, her sense of humor and her decision to jump back into the acting world in a big way. "She was very keen to get back to work," says Stephen Daldry, who directed her in Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, one of two dramas the actress, 47, has filmed since last fall. "She threw herself in with her usual enthusiasm and energy, and she was very relaxed," he added. "She had little Louis with her, and it was a very familial environment on-set." Watch 6 Minutes from Project Nim
Nim Chimpsky in Project Nim (2011)
Yahoo! Movies got their hands on the first 6 minutes of the upcoming film “Project Nim” directed by James Marsh and starring Bob Angelini, Bern Cohen and Reagan Leonard. Synopsis: From the Oscar-winning team behind Man On Wire comes the story of Nim, the chimpanzee who in the 1970s became the focus of a landmark experiment which aimed to show that an ape could learn to communicate with language if raised and nurtured like a human child. Following Nim’s extraordinary journey through human society, and the enduring impact he makes on the people he meets along the way, the film is an unflinching and unsentimental biography of an animal we...

‘Project Nim’ directed by James Marsh – trailer review
Project Nim

Directed by: James Marsh

Starring: Bob Angelini, Bern Cohen, Reagan Leonard

Rating: PG-13

Release Date: July 8, 2011

Trailer Score: 8/10

Thoughts by Tsr: The title chimp does wear a sweater in this trailer, but that isn’t the main selling point of this trailer. In fact, while a movie with a poster similar to Project Nim’s could load up on its cute factor, this movie seems to get straight into its point of creating a biography of its center chimp. Immediately the trailer becomes about the similarities between a chimp’s brain to our own, which to me serves as an excellent thesis statement. In fact, this trailer could have been a minute shorter, and I probably wouldn’t have thought anything different.

James Marsh did something special with his previous Oscar-winning documentary, Man on Wire, and it looks like this is going to be a similar case here.
