TNT will not air the fourth and final season of “Snowpiercer,” a rep for the network confirmed to TheWrap on Friday, but it is helping shop the sc-fi series to other networks.

“This was a difficult decision, but our admiration for the talented writers, actors and crew who brought ‘Snowpiercer’s extraordinary post-apocalyptic world to life remains strong,” the network said in a statement.

“We have been working collaboratively with the producers since last year to help the series find a new home where fans can continue to enjoy the compelling story and exceptional visual experience. We look forward to working with them on future projects,” the statement continued.

‘Snowpiercer’ Final Season Pulled From TNT

Snowpiercer, the lone remaining scripted series on TNT, is now the latest show to be scrapped in Warner Bros. Discovery’s ongoing content write-offs.

The show’s fourth and final season will not air on TNT despite production having been completed.

“TNT will not air season four of Snowpiercer,” a network spokesperson said in a statement. “This was a difficult decision, but our admiration for the talented writers, actors and crew who brought Snowpiercer’s extraordinary post-apocalyptic world to life remains strong. We have been working collaboratively with the producers since last year to help the series find a new home where fans can continue to enjoy the compelling story and exceptional visual experience. We look forward to working with them on future projects.”

‘Snowpiercer’ Season 4 Won’t Air On TNT, Final Season Shopped By Tomorrow Studios Along With Potential Offshoots
Image
Exclusive: And then there were none. Snowpiercer, the only remaining original scripted series on TNT, is done on the Warner Bros. Discovery network. The post-apocalyptic drama’s completed fourth and final season will not run on the basic cable network as previously announced. The move is believed to be part of the tax write-offs for content at Wbd. I hear the studio behind it, Tomorrow Studios, is currently shopping the new season, along with potential prequel and sequel, with the goal to build a franchise.

“We can confirm that TNT will not air season four of Snowpiercer,” a spokesperson for the network said in a statement to Deadline. “This was a difficult decision, but our admiration for the talented writers, actors and crew who brought Snowpiercer’s extraordinary post-apocalyptic world to life remains strong. ‘Snowpiercer’ Halts Production in Canada Due to Extreme Heat
Jennifer Connelly, Sean Bean, Michael Aronov, Clark Gregg, and Daveed Diggs in Snowpiercer (2020)
“Snowpiercer,” TNT’s TV adaptation of Bong Joon Ho’s 2013 sci-fi climate catastrophe film of the same name, has halted production on its fourth and final season following extreme temperatures in Vancouver, Canada and the hospitalization of some crew members in the effort of being “extra cautious.”

“Out of an abundance of caution, production of Snowpiercer wrapped early yesterday and was suspended for today due to extreme heat on location. The health and well-being of show cast and crew remains top priority,” a Tomorrow Studios spokesperson said, adding that all of the people who were in the hospital had been discharged.

The series, based on the graphic novel “Le Transperceneige” by Jacques Lob, is set in a post-apocalyptic future where a botched attempt to stop global warming has inadvertently created another ice age. Humanity’s remnants are forced to live in a singular, class-divided train owned by transportation magnate Wilford...

‘Snowpiercer’: Production Suspended In British Columbia Due To Extreme Heat; Multiple People Sought Medical Attention
Image
Exclusive: Production on the fourth and final season of Snowpiercer has been suspended after soaring temperatures Thursday led to multiple cases of heat exhaustion. One crew member told Deadline as many as 14 people, including background actors and crew members, were transported via ambulance to local hospitals.

Temperatures hit the mid-90s on the drama’s outdoor set Thursday in southwest British Columbia. Since the drama takes place in a new ice age, actors are required to wear heavy winter clothing.

“Out of an abundance of caution, production of Snowpiercer wrapped early yesterday and was suspended for today due to extreme heat on location,” said a spokesperson for Tomorrow Studios, which produces the post-apocalyptic drama for TNT. “The health and well-being of show cast and crew remains top priority.”

The spokesperson added that cooling tents were made available for cast and crew and that medical personnel was on hand. Everyone was...

‘Snowpiercer’ To End With Season 4 On TNT
Image
Exclusive: TNT’s Snowpiercer will be pulling into the station. The post-apocalyptic drama’s upcoming fourth season, which is in production, will be its last. I hear the cast’s options were coming up and were not picked up, releasing the actors to book other jobs.

“We can confirm that Snowpiercer will end after a successful, multi-season run on TNT,” a spokesperson for the network said in a statement to Deadline. “Its talented writers, actors and crew took an extraordinary premise and brought it to life in thrilling ways. It was critically acclaimed, had a significant impact on the post-apocalyptic genre and now remains in the hearts and minds of fans forever.”
