Daniel Ings arrives for the premiere of the new Netflix series 'The Gentlemen' at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, in London, Britain, 05 March 2024
A century before GOT, Ser Duncan the Tall, and his squire, Egg, wandered through Westeros while the Targaryen dynasty ruled the Iron Throne, and dragons were still remembered. Great destinies and enemies await the incomparable friends.

HBO's latest venture into George R.R. Martin's rich fantasy world takes a lighter turn with "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms," a six-episode series following the adventures of the towering knight Ser Duncan the Tall and his mysterious young squire, Egg. The first teaser, revealed at New York Comic-Con, showcases a more whimsical tone than its predecessors "Game of Thrones" and "House of the Dragon," while still maintaining the epic scope fans have come to expect from stories set in Westeros.

The series introduces fresh faces Peter Claffey as Ser Duncan and Dexter Sol Ansell as Egg, alongside rising stars Finn Bennett (HBO's "True Detective" Season 4) and Daniel Ings ("The Crown," "The Gentlemen"). Set a century before the events of "Game of Thrones," when the Targaryen dynasty still ruled from the Iron Throne, the story promises "dangerous exploits" and "powerful foes" for its unlikely duo of heroes.

Co-created by George R.R. Martin himself alongside showrunner Ira Parker, "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms" debuts Sunday, January 18, 2025, at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on HBO, with episodes also streaming on HBO Max.
