Katrina Hodge(III)
Katrina Hodge was born in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, in 1987. She joined
the British Army aged 17 and earned the nickname 'Combat Barbie' by
arriving at barracks in kitten heels, false eyelashes and with a pink
suitcase.
She hit the headlines in 2005 when she was commended for bravery while on active service in Iraq, and she was promoted to Lance Corporal.
As a part-time model, she was the first person in the British armed services to enter a beauty pageant, entering Miss England in 2008.
Katrina was runner up in the 2009 competition, and when the winner was forced to stand down, was crowned Miss England.
Given leave from the army, she represented England at the Miss World pageant.
She returned to the army in September 2010.
