The Last Podcast on the Left Host Henry Zebrowski Teases New Movie ‘UFO: Unbelievably Friendly Organisms’
Image
The Last Podcast on the Left co-host Henry Zebrowski has announced new movie seemingly titled UFO: Unbelievably Friendly Organisms.

First contact was made via Instagram, which touts the project as “a film from the mind of” Zebrowski — implying that he’s writing and/or directing. He’s likely to appear on screen in some capacity as well.

Given the cheeky title and Zebrowski’s comedic background, this could be an irreverent send-up to E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial.

No other details are available at this time, but stay tuned for the next transmission.

In addition to hosting the wildly popular horror podcast alongside longtime friends Marcus Parks and Ed Larson, Zebrowski is an actor and comedian known for his roles in “Your Pretty Face Is Going to Hell,” “Heroes Reborn,” and The Wolf of Wall Street.

On the horror front, Zebrowski has appeared in After Midnight and Return to Return to Nuke ‘Em High Aka Vol. 2...

Ryan Coogler Gives Exciting 'X-Files' Reboot Update and Gillian Anderson Talks
Image
Director Ryan Coogler is making history with his highly rated movies, and now he's making his way to television to reboot a beloved science fiction series. While his recently released action horror,Sinners, starring Michael B. Jordan, is gaining praise all-around, Coogler revealed that his X-Files reboot will be his next project, and he has been speaking to Gillian Anderson about a possible return.

The X-Filestook over television in the '90s with its blended plots that combined genres like supernatural fiction, horror, mystery, science fiction and thriller. Those are right up Coogler's alley, who has directed and written various hit films, including Marvel's Black Panther.

During an appearance on Last Podcast on the Left, hosted by Marcus Parks, Ed Larson, and Henry Zebrowksi, Coogler spoke a little bit about the reboot. The 38-year-old said, "I'm working on X-Files. That's what's immediately next. So, I've been excited about that for a long time,...

Clint Eastwood’s ‘Play Misty for Me’ Carved Out an Entire Horror Subgenre [Make My Day Podcast]
Image
Clint Eastwood, ever heard of him? Of course you have … though maybe not around these parts. Whether he’s on screen, behind the camera, or, hell, even both, the two-time Oscar winner is best known for grounded dramas, cutting-edge westerns, crime thrillers, left-of-the-dial comedies, biopics, and the list goes on. But Horror? Short of his bit parts in The Witches and Revenge of the Creature, you’d have to bend the tenets of the genre to make it work.

The most malleable of his films to the Horror genre is his directorial debut: 1971’s Play Misty for Me. Written by Jo Heims and Dean Riesner, the taut thriller pre-dates the “-from hell” subgenre (think: Fatal Attraction) by nearly two decades. It’s also a better movie than most of them. Eastwood not only proves to be the lean and mean director we know and respect today from the get-go, but...
