Developed partnership with writer/director Marcellus Cox via Facebook after Marcellus messaged Stephen looking for an actor to portray Malcolm X for his short film, Rise Up. Someone sent Marcellus a YouTube clip of Stephen made years prior as the iconic human rights activist.

As of 2022, Stephen and writer/director Marcellus Cox have collaborated on eight short films and one feature length film - Rise Up (2014), The Motivational Experience (2014), Love (2015), The System (2016), Rolling in the Deep (2017), Living (2017), Part of Me (2018), Mickey Hardaway (2020) and its feature length version (2023).

Made his Sundance Film Festival debut in 2020 with Terrance Daye's short film/visual poem -Ship. It won the Short Film Jury Award for US Fiction.

After graduating college, had a career in Human Resources before pursuing acting full-time.

Auditioned for the MTV competitive dance reality television series, Randy Jackson presents America's Best Dance Crew (2008).

As of 2022 Stephen and writer/director/producer KarynRose Bruyning have collaborated on five short films - Perception (2016), I Know the Sunset (2017), Black Dove (2018), Nevertheless (2019), Uptown, The Way God Intended (2020).

Graduated from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City with a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Helped star in Grist that won Best Narrative Short Film at the Mott Haven Film Festival in Bronx, New York (2021). Stephen won the Best Actor award.

Helped star in Safu - Funge and Sashimi that won Best Comedy Short Film in the Genre Celebration Film Festival in Tokyo, Japan (2021) Stephen won the Best Actor award of the same category.

Graduated from the High School of Graphic Communication Arts in New York City. Stephen was voted 'Class Clown'.
