The Fantastic Four: First Steps may have just revealed a key location for the Marvel Cinematic Universe movie as the Phase 6 movie gets closer to its release.
While The Fantastic Four: First Steps has wrapped principal photography, some of the sets have clearly not been taken down yet, as The Daily Mail released new photos, as well as video, of an unknown underground set that was completely abandoned after filming was finished. The photos also include maps from production, which was under the name "Blue Moon," giving a deeper look at this set piece at the Middleton mine in the Derbyshire Dales.

John Malkovich's role in The Fantastic Four: First Steps might have just been revealed. A new rumor has emerged claiming that the actor will be portraying one of Marvel's First Family's oldest foes in the upcoming reboot.
According to Murphy's Multiverse, Malkovich will be playing Ivan Kragoff/Red Ghost, a supervillain genius who first appeared, alongside his Super-Apes, in 1963's Fantastic Four #13. He was created by writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby. Kragoff and his Super-Apes received their powers via cosmic rays, with the evil genius gaining the ability to become intangible and invisible, Mikhlo becoming superhumanly strong and durable, Igor gaining the ability to shapeshift, and Peotr gaining the ability to attract and repulse objects. At this time, it is unclear whether the Super-Apes will also appear in First Steps.

Five years after Disney acquired 20th Century Fox, Marvel Studios Chief Kevin Feige finally introduced MCU version of The Fantastic Four on the Hall H stage Saturday night at Comic-Con.
Feige kicked the segment off by fibbing that the cast couldn’t make it because filming is set to begin next week in the U.K., but revealed “our director was willing to fly all through the night,” introducing Matt Shakman to the stage.
Shakman acknowledged that there’s no actual footage from the film, but said he’d put together a pre-vis clip to get the tone of the film across — though if that’s pre-vis it’s really polished. Because it resembled something close to a short film that might end up (we hope) on the blu-ray, made up of fictional newsreel footage clearly set in the 1960s — of course it might also just look like the 60s (more on that momentarily.

Marvel Studios is not intending to play around after the sub-optimal run that the brand has been dealing with lately. Not only is the studio proudly touting around its just released Deadpool & Wolverine with a surprise Sdcc screening along with cameo guests but upon the company’s return to Hall H, some Fantastic Four teasing would be in the cards for the fans. Pedro Pascal had recently released a wholesome group photo of Marvel’s first family as the cast members for Matt Shakman’s upcoming The Fantastic Four had recently gotten together.
Now, Deadline reveals that our world has gotten a little preview of what it’s like when the grand-scale villain of The Fantastic Four looms over the San Diego sky. Marvel would give fans a display of an illuminated drone show, which came together to form the shape of Galactus, the planet-eating threat of the Fantastic Four comics.

Marvel Studios gave fans a good reason to stand in line overnight on Friday with a light show that essentially confirmed “Fantastic Four” villain Galactus is coming to Hall H on Saturday.
In what individuals familiar with the event told TheWrap is a new world record for biggest image displayed with drones as well as most drones used in a drone show, the spectacle was projected into the sky above Petco Field in San Diego beginning at 9:40 p.m.
The drone show took place immediately after the special screening of “Deadpool & Wolverine” held in Hall H Thursday night, and fittingly began with imagery celebrating that film. But near the end, the display changed, projecting “Saturday, Hall H” in the sky. Then the lights morphed into the purple of Galactus as the character’s trademark white eyes began to shine.

Ryan Gosling is rumored to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe for a role in the Fantastic Four movie. Phase Five is about to start next month with Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, which will continue the ongoing Multiverse Saga. While several ongoing franchises are getting sequels, the MCU is about to reboot Marvel's first family, as the Fantastic Four are on their way. After having been with Fox for nearly two decades, Marvel Studios finally got the Fantastic Four rights back when Disney acquired 20th Century Studios. While the MCU did see Reed Richards in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, that was a Mister Fantastic variant and not the Earth-616 iteration. In Phase Six, Fantastic Four will be part of the slate as they gear up for the major Avengers films that are coming up.

Earlier this month at D23, Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige confirmed that WandaVision director Matt Shakman will helm Fantastic Four, the studio’s take on the team that launched the Marvel Universe in the comics. Now there is word on who will pen the script. Writing duo Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer are on the project, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
The team is behind the spec script Disaster Wedding, which has Palm Springs filmmaker Max Barbakow attached to direct for Warner Bros. They also penned the Rebel Wilson comedy K-Pop: Lost in America, which is in development. Deadline first reported the news of the duo’s involvement in the Marvel project.
Feige has said Fantastic Four, which was made into three films at 20th Century Fox before the studio was acquired by Disney, will not be another origin story. “A lot of people know this origin story.

Marvel’s first family is finally coming home. Marvel Studios are developing a new Fantastic Four movie which will kick off Phase 6 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. WandaVision‘s Matt Shakman signed on to direct the movie, and Deadline has now reported that Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer will be writing the script.

Apologies to anyone who has to find out this way, but you have not, in fact, been chosen to write the script for Marvel Studios' "Fantastic Four." Well, maybe you have, but only if your name happens to be either Jeff Kaplan or Ian Springer. The rest of us will have to content ourselves with simply reading about Kevin Feige's latest choice(s) to fill out the creative team for Marvel's first family. After both San Diego Comic-Con and D23 came and went without any real bombshells to appease the hordes of fans eager for news (beyond the official confirmation of "WandaVision" director Matt Shakman helming the film), we've instead found out on a random September weekday that the Marvel Cinematic Universe's first (non-alternate universe) introduction of the Fantastic Four will be scripted by a relatively obscure writing duo.

While some gamers have spent the last few years speculating that Blizzard’s string of public problems meant that the company was in serious trouble, a recent report from IGN seemingly confirms that the company is at least struggling to maintain its culture and standards just as new financial issues make the upcoming releases of Diablo 4, Overwatch 2, Diablo Immortal, and Diablo 2: Resurrected more important than ever.
If you haven’t read the report, please be sure to find the time to do so. It’s a fascinating look at the state of Blizzard and how the company seems to be at a crossroads at the moment in regards to where they’ve been and where they’re going.
However, if I had to pull one line from the article that most clearly summarizes the significance of what’s happening inside the company, it would have to be this one...

Blizzard Entertainment was granted a patent recognizing its Play of the Game method of scoring and displaying scores, according to the Us Patent and Trademark Office.
The abstract of the patent, submitted Dec. 9, 2016 and granted June 14, 2018, describes the manner in which several events during a match are recorded and then revealed, showing the time stamp for when the events occurred. A “sliding window” then passes over the recorded events, picking one category and then choosing the top player for said category before displaying a replay of the event selected.
The manner in which players can then share the selected clips to social media is also included in the patent.
Within the patent, the various Play of the Game winning categories are also listed with descriptions, perhaps intended to prevent copycats from imitating the exact iteration of scoring methods and categories of “Overwatch.” For example, the Life Saver category in which...
