Will Trent Season 3, Episode 3 has a plethora of guest stars in another action-packed installment featuring Sunny Mabrey, Chris Cafero, and Kevin Daniels.

The Just For Laughs Comedy Festival has unveiled its list of top up-and-coming comedians in New York, Los Angeles and elsewhere, who are set to participate in the New Faces of Comedy showcase later this week. The event is a traditional launch pad for major Hollywood talent like Kevin Hart, Amy Schumer, Kumail Nanjiani and Jimmy Fallon.

The success of their careers makes New Faces the industry’s biggest coming-out party for rising stand-up talent serious business. Young hopefuls eyeing Hollywood development deals grab the microphone at Just For Laughs in Montreal to draw laughter from a club audience as Los Angeles talent scouts, comedy agents and managers, TV execs and club bookers look on.

Nearly 10 years ago, Billy Crystal and writer Quinton Peeples started work on a screenplay they’d eventually call Have A Nice Day. Not terribly long in Hollywood development years, but eons removed from our current political climate.

Performed and recorded (by Amazon’s Audible) as a staged Off Broadway reading last night and tonight by a starry ensemble – Crystal, Kevin Kline, Annette Bening and Dick Cavett, among others – Have a Nice Day, with its progressive, honest and do-good president, is just a fantasy too far, even given its Wonderful Life trappings.

Crystal, in full-on City Slickers likability, plays a bumbling, sweet-tempered angel of death who comes calling on David Murray (Kline), a middle-aged man with a stifled wife (Bening) and a teenage daughter threatening tattoo-level rebellion.

Audible’s two-night live reading of Billy Crystal’s new play Have a Nice Day has rounded out its Off Broadway cast, with Keegan-Michael Key, Darrell Hammond and Dick Cavett among those set to take the Minetta Lane Theatre stage with Crystal, Annette Bening and Kevin Kline next month.

The Have a Nice Day reading, set for October 7-8, will be recorded live, with the audio made available on Amazon’s Audible service shortly thereafter. The new play is part of Audible’s recently announced fall lineup of productions at the Minetta Lane in New York’s Greenwich Village.

Completing Crystal’s cast will be Auli’i Cravalho, Irene Bedard, Chris Cafero, Robin Thede and Robert King. The comedy was written by Crystal and Quinton Peeples, with Kline starring as a U.S. president deciding whether to run for a second term. Crystal plays the Angel of Death, and Cavett is the narrator.
