With eldest son John David working with Oscar-winning directors like Spike Lee and Christopher Nolan, daughter Olivia starring in the Boots Riley series “I’m a Virgo” and the West End production of “Slave Play,” and youngest son Malcolm getting behind the camera to adapt August Wilson’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play “The Piano Lesson,” it’s fair to say Denzel Washington and wife Pauletta Washington may be shaping the next great entertainment dynasty, up there with the Hustons and the Fondas. Producing his son Malcolm’s directorial debut, which stars both his other son John David and one of his best friends, Samuel L. Jackson, Denzel helps to hone in on one of the key themes of “The Piano Lesson”: Family legacy.
The official synopsis reads: “A battle is brewing in the Charles Household. At the center stands a prized heirloom piano tearing two siblings apart. On one side, a...

There has been a lot of talk lately about Marvel possibly getting their act together and giving us another Blade movie. But even if this ever comes to fruition, there is sadly no way to guarantee that Wesley Snipes will be invited back to the role he made iconic on the big screen. And speaking of possibly having to replace Snipes as Blade one of these days, today we have word via the actor himself that none other than Justice League star Ray Fischer wants to play the Daywalker should Marvel ever actually get around to rebooting the character.
I don't know about you, but I think Ray Fisher is a solid choice to play Blade. After all, I think it's pretty safe to say that Fischer's run as Cyborg in the DC Universe has reached its end. But who knows? Maybe that planned Cyborg stand-alone spin-off movie will see...

Zack Snyder's Justice League is still a couple years out from now, but most of the line up is already locked down. With Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, and Gal Gadot heading up the pack as Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman respectively, there's also Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fischer as Cyborg, and Jason Momoa as Aquaman. Yet there's one important Justice Leaguer that hasn't been cast yet, and Fast and Furious star Tyrese Gibson is throwing his hat into the ring, with some help from his fans. Through his official Instagram account, Gibson shared the following image, with the perfect caption to stoke the fire. Rumor has it that. A photo posted by Tyrese (@tyrese) on Jan 23, 2015 at 3:04pm Pst Rumor has it indeed, as there is a Green Lantern film set for June 19th, 2020; right at the tail end of Warner Bros' DC Cinematic Continuum release slate.

Hot off the Star Presses!
Newest word from the galaxy far far away is that the short list for the male lead in Jj Abrams’ Star Wars Episode VII has gotten even shorter.
Variety reports that the list of male leads to go against villain Adam Driver (Girls) has narrowed to Ed Speleers (Downton Abbey), John Boyega (Attack The Block), Jesse Plemons (Friday Night Lights) and theater actors Matthew James Thomas (Pippen), and Ray Fisher. With the exception of John Boyega and Ray Fischer who have different skin tones than we’d expect, the other actors could rum the gamut as far as male Jedi leads go.
Latino Review is happy to report that when Matthew James Thomas began the audition process last October, he was up for the role of Luke Skywalker’s son. Although Variety doesn’t want to comment on the part that’s actually under debate,...
