For Brennan, this marks his first major spec sale, an impressive feat for a rising writing talent as more and more studios are cautious to take on a script with no talent involved. He has been cutting his teeth in the short film world, most recently directing, writing and producing Skinned.

A new DC graphic novel by Ngozi Ukazu, Barda, explores Barda's early years as she rises to lead the Female Furies. Ukazu transitions from webcomics to DC Comics to write about Barda, inspired by Jack Kirby's New Gods lore. A new update has been revealed on Blade Runner 2099. The series, which serves as a sequel to Blade Runner 2049, is gearing up to very soon start filming.
Per Collider, Blade Runner 2099 will officially start shooting in June 2024 and last through December. Its filming locations are also confirmed to be in both Prague and Spain. The update comes two years after the series was officially announced in mid-2022. It also follows the announcement that Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh will be leading the cast.
