A truly humorous series is coming to Netflix U.S. for the first time ever, after ending its five-season run nearly a decade ago. Later on May 17, 2016, Showtime cancelled the show, with the series finale airing June 12, 2016.

On Wednesday, July 23, House of Lies arrives on Netflix, per What's on Netflix, taking fans back to the eventful days of Cheadle’s charming Marty Kaan. Although this marks the first time the show has been available on Netflix U.S., it has been streamed in select other territories for periods of time, as reports have shown Netflix in Canada...

'House of Lies' Season 3 premiere recap: Marty's all alone with his own company
After the blowout between Marty (Don Cheadle) and Clyde (Ben Schwartz) that brought Season 2 to an end, it's no surprise that the entire landscape of "House of Lies" has changed. The pod caved in on itself and the group has scattered.

While Jeannie (Kristen Bell) and Doug (Josh Lawson) have remained with Galweather, starting a new pod, Marty has launched his own company and Clyde is off working with Monica (Dawn Olivieri).

Whether they'll admit it or not, each of the former pod members is miserable with their new coworkers and long for the days of old. Sadly, the only one willing to admit it is Doug and he won't shut up about it. Marty hides his feelings about it the best, though his family can see through the act.

No one hates how things ended up more than Clyde, who was king of the mountain at the close of...

'House of Lies' Donis Leonard Jr.: Roscoe 'isn't gay or straight, he's Roscoe'
While "House of Lies" primarily revolves around Marty Kaan (Don Cheadle) and his professional life as a management consultant, his home life is just as important to the character. When not traveling for work, Marty comes home at the end of the day to his father Jeremiah (Glynn Turman) and son Roscoe (Donis Leonard Jr.).

Roscoe, in particular, is a unique character you normally don't see on TV. While many might dismiss the cross-dressing youth as gay, that's not the case. "What I like about playing the role is you can't put a push pin in him," Leonard tells Zap2it. "He isn't gay or straight. He's Roscoe."

Playing a sexually ambiguous character is a responsibility Leonard takes pride in. "There's a lot of kids who don't really know what they are yet, so I feel like a role model for them," he says. "Also with a great, incredible actor...

Tom Ford is taking the fashion world by storm again, opening new outlets that cater to the extremely wealthy. DVD Review: House of Lies – The First Season
House Of Lies: The First Season

Stars: Don Cheadle, Kristen Bell, Ben Schwartz, Josh Lawson, Donis Leonard Jr., Richard Schiff, Greg Germann, Griffin Dunne, Dawn Olivieri | Created by Matthew Carnahan

When I read the winners list from the Golden Globes this year I wasn’t too interested, most of them are easy to guess and there were no real surprises. There was one winner that made me happy though because I know he deserves all the praise given to him and that is Don Cheadle for his role as Marty Kaan in House of Lies.

House of Lies looks at a group of management consultants who will do anything to succeed. Marty Kaan (Don Cheadle) as the team leader is the most cut throat of the group, without a seconds though he’ll sleep with a client, find their weakness and bribe them without a second though. His right...

'House of Lies' Season 2: Don Cheadle and Kristen Bell get it every which way
It's the truth: "House of Lies" is aiming to be just as ferocious and funny in its second round.

The edgy Showtime series returns Sunday, Jan. 13, on the strength of Golden Globe and NAACP Image Award nominations for star Don Cheadle as Marty Kaan, the slick management consultant always striving to keep himself, the equally sharp Jeannie (Kristen Bell) and the rest of his high-living "Pod" team (Ben Schwartz, Josh Lawson) a step ahead. That's crucial now that they've evaded an unwanted merger ... but there also are personal matters to attend to, sometimes mixing uncomfortably with professional ones.

"It took a second to try and find who he was again, to get back in the groove again," Cheadle tells Zap2it of stepping back into Marty's skin for Season 2. "I was coming right off of filming 'Iron Man 3.' I had about five days, then I started the show again,...

"House of Lies" gives us a lesbian sex scene to remind us its on Showtime
Finally, Kristen Bell is back on our TVs — and not just in a voiceover.

House of Lies premiered this week on Showtime and with it, Bell makes her fans forget all about Veronica Mars — at least for a half hour per week.

Bell plays Jeannie, a whip-smart management consultant for Galweather & Stern. Jeannie is part of "The Pod," the firm's star team led by Don Cheadle's Marty. Jeannie is very much the smart girl in the midst of a boys' club, but she certainly refuses to play anyone's game but her own.

As per usual for Showtime, House of Lies is heavy on the sex. Jeannie seems to prefer men, but doesn't hesitate to enjoy the company of a lady when the team spends the evening at a "gentleman's club."

Far be it from Showtime to settle for hinting at lesbian sex, though. You probably recognize the lovely ladies...

House of Lies: Is the Showtime Comedy Worth Watching?
This evening, Showtime launches their new comedy called House of Lies. Starring Don Cheadle, the series revolves around a crack team of Los Angeles-based management consultants. They charm arrogant and unsuspecting corporate executives into spending a fortune for their services and do their best to keep the cash flowing.

Others in the new TV series include Kristen Bell, Dawn Olivieri, Ben Schwartz, Josh Lawson, Richard Schiff, Donis Leonard Jr., and Glynn Turman.

Is House of Lies worth your TV viewing time or is Showtime just trying to con you into watching a bad show? Here's what the critics are saying:

La Times: "Well-crafted and a little — sometimes more than a little — unpleasant, House of Lies also resembles Jason Reitman's Up in the Air and Thank You for Smoking, colorful films whose antiheroic, well-dressed, good-looking lead characters also spend a...

'House of Lies' review: The leads aren't weak, but a lot is
"House of Lies" is the new half-hour comedy from Showtime starring Don Cheadle as Marty Kaan, a project manager at a highly successful management consulting firm called Galweather & Stern. Kaan is flanked by a team made up of the awkward resume-touting Doug (Josh Lawson), the smarmy John Ralphio Clyde (Ben Schwartz) and the smart, sassy Jeannie (Kristen Bell).

Kaan's mirror at a competing consulting firm is none other than his ex-wife Monica (Dawn Olivieri), while Kaan's roommates include his father Jeremiah (the wonderful Glynn Turman) and son Roscoe (Donis Leonard Jr.).

The show's premiere features Kaan and his team jet-setting to New York from their Los Angeles base to meet with a financial company, one that in the world of the show helped cause America's sub-prime mortgage crisis. Kaan's company basically makes money by creating the illusion that they indispensable to their clients. The last name of "Kaan" ("con") is a little too on-the-nose.

TV Review: Don Cheadle Enters Showtime’s Intriguing ‘House of Lies’
Chicago – The premiere of “House of Lies” is a smug, self-aware affair, a pilot that doesn’t show you how smart and clever it is as much as begs you to think it so over and over and over again. But, thanks largely to its talented cast, it passes the ultimate test of a premiere and intrigues enough to make a second episode worth investigating. From here, “HoL” works. The second episode is a noticeable improvement as the desperation dissipates and the show settles into its flawed-but-interesting groove.

Television Rating: 3.5/5.0

The first ten minutes of “House of Lies” are so grating and annoying that one could easily be dissuaded from continuing and I wouldn’t blame them. With regular breakings of the fourth wall, gratuitous adult humor, and characters that almost seem intended to be disliked. This is a show that opens with a man waking up after “hate banging...

Dustin Hoffman in Luck (2011)
[1] There's plenty of good stuff in today's TV Bits, including new trailers for HBO's Luck and Showtime's House of Lies, which I'm hoping will help the one bit of really bad news go down a bit easier: NBC's benching its highly praised but under-watched Community. Perhaps the biggest news (at least for us pop culture nerds) to come out of NBC's recent announcement of its mid-season lineup is the benching of Community, which has always struggled ratings-wise despite getting glowing reviews.
