The appointment was approved during a hearing Friday before Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Lynn Healey Scaduto.

Priscilla Presley had filed a petition to challenge the validity of her late daughter Lisa Marie’s will in January. The legal action disputed a 2016 amendment to Lisa Marie’s will that excised Priscilla as trustee of the estate. Priscilla Presley’s attorneys said she only became aware of the “purported 2016 amendment” after Lisa Marie’s death. Lawyers also contend the amendment was never delivered to their client during Lisa Marie’s lifetime

The amendment removes Priscilla and Lisa Marie’s former business manager, Barry Siegel, as co-trustees and replaces them with Lisa Marie’s eldest children Riley and Benjamin Keough. The latter died in 2020.

Things were made official when a judge signed off on Riley’s June petition to approve the settlement agreement reached between her, her grandmother, Priscilla Presley, and Michael Lockwood, the Guardian Ad Litem for her two younger siblings. The settlement terms, obtained by Et back in June, will see Riley serve as the sole trustee of her mother’s estate and the sub-trusts for her sisters, 14-year-old twins Harper and Finley Lockwood.

Months after the shocking, unexpected death of Elvis Presley’s only child, fans are getting more concrete answers about the circumstances surrounding her untimely death. On Thursday, the results of her toxicology report at the time of her death were released, revealing she had therapeutic levels of Oxycodone her blood.

Additionally, a second opioid, known as Buprenorphine, was present in her system. This opioid can be prescribed for pain relief, as well as for use to treat opioid addiction. Additionally, the tox screening also found traces of Quetiapine, an antipsychotic medication.

The toxicology reports were released shortly after the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office released Lisa Marie’s cause of death, revealing she died from sequelae of small bowel obstruction. The autopsy stated that the opioids in her system did not contribute to her death.

Lisa Marie Presley’s custody battle with ex-husband Michael Lockwood is seemingly nearing a conclusion.

Lisa Marie’s attorney, Gary Fishbein, attended the custody hearing via Zoom on Tuesday, and told Judge Joseph Lipner that the case should be dismissed because nothing else regarding the custody battle is pending and his client is “sadly no longer with us.”
