Spider-Man: Brand New Day will give fans the street-level adventure they've been crying out for since Spider-Man: No Way Home's epilogue. However, just because the web-slinger is no longer facing world-ending threats, it doesn't mean his next movie is going to be small in scale.
The Punisher, The Hulk, and The Scorpion are just three confirmed potential antagonists, with Tombstone, Boomerang, and more also rumoured to be thrown into the mix of what could be a New York City gang war.
Insider @MyTimeToShineH has shared what appear to be some pretty reliable Spidey scoops in recent weeks, and has just made a bold claim about the next Marvel Studios movie.
"Spider-Man: Brand New Day is the biggest Spidey movie yet," they write. "Despite being more 'street-level,' it’s even been described to me as Captain America: The Winter Soldier for Spider-Man." You'll remember that the 2014 movie led to the end of S.

We’re less than a year away from the return of Tom Holland's Peter Parker in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and as filming gets underway in the wall-crawler's hometown of — checks notes — Glasgow, Scotland, Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures have begun to release a ton of information about the fourth entry in the series.
So here’s a rundown of everything out there about Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
Brand New what?
Breaking with the naming convention of including the word "Home" in the title, the fourth MCU Spider-Man movie takes its name from a divisive 2008 comic book storyline, which saw Peter's marriage to Mary Jane Watson erased from the timeline — among other retcons.
But since the events of No Way Home already futzed with the memory of this universe's Mj, there's some of that title's DNA baked into the film's status quo from the jump.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day has resumed shooting in Glasgow, and security has been tightened up as filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton continues shooting what looks to be one of the movie's biggest set pieces.
This time, Spidey has been spotted using his wall-crawling powers to stand on the side of The Punisher's tank as it races through the streets of New York. It's clear the whole thing is being shot out of sequence, with it pieced together during post-production. Unfortunately for us, that makes it harder to figure out what's going on.
There's still speculation that we might see Frank Castle or The Scorpion on set, though we'd imagine anything as spoilery as that won't be filmed on location.
In other news, scooper @MyTimeToShineH has claimed that, "Mj has a Big role in Brand New Day." That contradicts what we've heard from others who have suggested Zendaya's Spider-Man: Brand New Day...

The rumors that Michael Mando is set to reprise his Spider-Man: Homecoming role as Mac Gargan in Spider-Man: Brand New Day were confirmed shortly after filming began, and the actor teased his return as the villain with a social media post last week.
We haven't seen Mando in any set photos yet, but the actor has now shared another Instagram post, further fuelling speculation that Scorpion may undergo a Venomous transformation in the movie (the shot of Gargan in makeup is from Homecoming).
In the comics, Gargan served as the third host of the Venom symbiote when he posed as Spider-Man as a member of the Dark Avengers. Previous rumors have claimed that Brand New Day will feature a symbiote, but if Scorpion actually was going to become Venomized in the film, something tells us Mando wouldn't be hinting at the spoiler like this!

Spider-Man: Brand New Day started filming earlier this month, with the MCU movie dropping a new teaser this week (via YouTube), which proves Kevin Feige might finally get one of Marvel’s best superheroes right. Spider-Man is one of Marvel’s greatest heroes, known for his more grounded and relatable stories in the comics.
The MCU had been missing this aspect of the character, as previous installments saw Spider-Man teaming up with mentor characters and alternate universe variants in more larger-than-life stories. However, the teaser for Brand New Day has a very early 2000s vibe.
As a result, the upcoming movie feels fresh in its visual style, with practical stunts, real locations, and a new suit, all of which contribute to its raw and realistic aesthetic. Therefore, Spider-Man seems to be finally standing up on his own in the MCU, and Tom Holland’s fourth outing will finally do the Web Crawler justice.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the fourth in the Tom Holland series of Spidey movies, is in full swing (pun intended). To make the occasion, Sony’s posted an official day one featurette showing Holland in action, with it sporting our best look yet at his new spidey suit. Filming is currently taking place in Glasgow, Scotland, with the city standing in for New York City – and bystanders have gotten a glimpse of some interesting stuff. Not only did Holland greet fans in full costume, but there’s even a video taken on the set that gives a glimpse of some explosive action!
No doubt the official video embedded above was a reaction to the unofficial ones embedded below, which – of course – have stired up fan speculation. I won’t go into detail here to avoid Spoilers – but if you don’t mind spoilers, check out the video at the bottom of this article!

Slipping into the Spider-Man suit is nothing new for Tom Holland, but he admits putting it on for the first time for the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day felt “different this time.”
Filming for the fourth Sony/Marvel film began earlier this month, and the actor took to Instagram on Sunday to share a recap of “day one” back in the iconic super suit.
“My fourth ever day one on Spider-Man,” he said in the minute-long video (below). “You know, it’s funny putting the suit on. It feels different this time somehow. It’s also the first time we’ve ever had fans on set for day one. So, it’s really exciting to share this with them.”
Holland added, “I’m just going to do my best. Hopefully get it right. No pressure.”

"I'm just gonna do my best, hopefully get it right. No pressure." Sony Pictures has debuted a new "Day One on set" promo video for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, showing a quick behind-the-scenes look at them filming the new Spider-Man movie (due out next summer). This is the fourth solo Spider-Man with Tom Holland, produced in partnership with Marvel Studios and made by Sony. It's actually really refreshing to see a major movie studio not being afraid of allowing people to get a glimpse at production as it's happening - literally on Day 1 of filming. This next one is being directed by filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton (also seen in this video), who also directed Marvel's Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings before this, and is taking over for director Jon Watts. Spider-Man: Brand New Day once again stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker, who is trying to move...

Sony Pictures has just released the official “Day One” behind-the-scenes teaser for Marvel’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and while there’s no actual movie footage yet, there’s still plenty to get excited about.
The clip shows Tom Holland back in the red-and-blue suit, posing for photos with kids on set, chatting with director Destin Daniel Cretton, and reminding everyone why he’s a hero both on and off screen.
The upcoming movie picks up after the events of No Way Home, when the world forgot Peter Parker’s identity, including best friend Ned (Jacob Batalon) and Mj (Zendaya). That peace won’t last long, as Michael Mando returns as Mac Gargan, aka Scorpion, to settle a grudge dating back to Homecoming’s post-credits scene.

It's been a week since Tom Holland suited up as the McU's most spectacular superhero on the set of Spider-Man: Brand New Day in Glasgow, Scotland. Now, Sony Pictures has released a new "Day One" featurette for the movie.
In the minute-long video, the actor opens up about starring in his fourth solo Spider-Man outing, and the experience of having the fans on hand for his latest "day one." Along the way, we're treated to some amazing behind-the-scenes footage of the web-slinger in action as he attempts to break into the tank that's barrelling through New York.
Filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton can also be seen taking charge of what's happening on set. The cameraman, meanwhile, seems to make a point of lingering on that demon-like logo on the side of the armoured vehicle widely reported to be part of The Punisher's upgraded arsenal.

Spider-Man is getting ready for another big-screen return with Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The film will be the fourth in the MCU’s Spider-Man series and the 38th Marvel Cinematic Universe movie overall. Columbia Pictures and Marvel Studios are producing it together, with Sony Pictures releasing it in theaters.
Destin Daniel Cretton is directing, and the script is by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, who also wrote the earlier Spider-Man movies. Tom Holland is back as Peter Parker, joined by Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Sadie Sink, Liza Colón-Zayas, Jon Bernthal, Mark Ruffalo, and Michael Mando.
Plans for the movie go back to 2019, even before the release of No Way Home. Producer Amy Pascal confirmed in 2021 that it would start a brand-new trilogy for Holland’s Spider-Man. Writing began that December, and Cretton officially signed on as director in October 2024. The title was revealed in March 2025, and filming started in August of the same year.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is still shooting in Scotland, but has another supervillain been spotted? So far, we've only seen the wall-crawler in action, though a few different scoopers have claimed that The Punisher is driving the tank and in hot pursuit of The Scorpion.
There's been a lot of destruction lately, and Glasgow World has been on hand to cover some of it. In a new report from the site, it's said, "When filming resumed there was a section where the tank is being pursued by another custom made vehicle. It had the same shaped prop at the front of it. It was the shape of a rhino’s head."
They go on to theorise that The Rhino might be involved in this chase scene, and while it's certainly not outside the realm of possibility, it doesn't seem overly likely. We've seen nothing from the set to indicate that the villain will appear,...

It wouldn’t be a Marvel movie if Tom Holland didn’t reveal something he wasn’t supposed to. The actor — lovingly referred to by fans as “Professional MCU Leaker” — may have once again spilled a subtle spoiler, this time via his wardrobe. A new behind-the-scenes image from the set of Spider-Man: Brand New Day shows Holland in costume wearing a shirt for Delmar’s Deli, the Queens sandwich shop that’s become something of a running gag since Spider-Man: Homecoming. While the image doesn’t confirm any plot details, fans are already speculating that this could hint at Peter Parker’s new day job — especially after the gut-wrenching finale of No Way Home, which left Peter broke, alone, and entirely forgotten by the people he loves, including Mj (played once again by Zendaya).

Spider-Man: Brand New Day was shooting in Surrey, England, yesterday, and we now have some high-resolution shots of Tom Holland as Peter Parker. The hero's face shows some telltale signs of a brutal battle, suggesting this might be from later in the movie.
It's still hard to tell whether Zendaya was shooting scenes with Holland as Mj, though the actress is wearing her clothes and hair in a way that's not dissimilar to the McU's Michelle Jones.
Fake snow was being used for the scene where Peter leaves flowers at his Aunt May's grave, meaning his visit takes place during winter, similar to how things wrapped up in 2021's Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Interestingly (or perhaps not), the shape of Aunt May's grave has changed. It's strange to see this prop look even slightly different when Marvel Studios is usually pretty good with continuity. Regardless, we wouldn't read too much into this fairly minor alteration.

J.K. Simmons' take on J. Jonah Jameson was so iconic that The Amazing Spider-Man movies didn't revisit The Daily Bugle newsroom. In fact, we didn't see Jjj on screen again until 2019's Spider-Man: Far From Home, where he was once again played by Simmons.
The McU's take on Jonah was very different, as he was reimagined as an Alex Jones-inspired shock jock instead of a newspaper Editor-in-Chief.
Jolly Jonah had a minor role as an antagonist in Spider-Man: No Way Home, and will surely continue to plague the wall-crawler in Spider-Man: Brand New Day (especially now that he no longer knows who is under the mask and will no doubt be eager to unmask New York's biggest "menace").
With all that in mind, the odds of us seeing Peter taking photos of Spidey for The Daily Bugle are slim. Now, a new shot from the movie's London set...

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is shaping up to be the next big hit in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This movie is the 38th entry in the MCU and the fourth Spider-Man film starring Tom Holland as the web-slinging hero.
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the film’s script comes from writers Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. Tom Holland returns as Peter Parker, joined by a strong cast that includes Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Sadie Sink, Liza Colón-Zayas, Jon Bernthal, Mark Ruffalo, and Michael Mando.
Sony started working on this new Spider-Man movie while finishing up No Way Home back in 2019. Producer Amy Pascal revealed in late 2021 that this film would kick off a fresh trilogy for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man.
The story development began around December of that year. McKenna and Sommers came back as writers in early 2023, and by October 2024, Destin Daniel Cretton was officially set to direct. The movie’s title,...

Tom Holland should be best known for his role as Spider-Man, or one of his other highly-praised acting roles, yet that is never what people who meet him want to talk about. Instead, they want to talk about the jaw-dropping moment Holland donned fishnets and performed Rihanna’s “Umbrella” on Lip Sync Battle.
While appearing on Gordon Ramsay’s show, Scrambled, Holland reflected on his 2017 drag performance on the reality competition that pitted two celebrities against each other in, as the title suggests, a lip-sync battle. As it turns out, Holland’s adversary on the show was none other than his now partner, Zendaya, but he may not have put in quite such a memorable performance if he had followed some advice he was given by his father. Holland said:
“What was really great about that is people didn't know that I could dance. I kept that quiet, I don't know why.

Sadie Sink's mystery Spider-Man: Brand New Day role continues to be a hotly debated topic online, though we're still no closer to knowing for sure who the Stranger Things and O'Dessa star will play when she makes her MCU debut.
Jean Grey, Mayday Parker, and Black Cat are just a few of the names we've seen floating around since Sink's casting, but Kristan Harloff is reporting that he's heard a "pretty good guarantee" that Sink will play Gwen Stacy in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
She's certainly a good fit for Gwen, and with Peter Parker likely heading to college, it makes sense to add a character to the mix who defined those years for him in the comic books. If Sink is playing Gwen, we could see her become Spidey's new love interest or perhaps suit up as superhero herself.

This week has seen us treated to all manner of spectacular action shots from the set of Spider-Man: Brand New Day in Glasgow, Scotland. While work has continued there today, Tom Holland has just been spotted in London as Peter Parker...and he wasn't alone.
Zendaya was seen reprising her role as Michelle Jones, with Mj and Peter standing at Aunt May's graveside. This could be a repeat of Spider-Man: No Way Home's ending, where Peter spoke with Happy Hogan, who, thanks to Doctor Strange's spell, had no idea that he was his ex-girlfriend's nephew.
However, outside of Peter, Mj didn't have a connection to May, so it seems more likely that by this point in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, something has happened which has made it so that she finally remembers the man she loves.

The movie is the fourth in Tom Holland’s Spider-Man series and picks up after No Way Home (2021). It’s part of Phase Six in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and is scheduled to come out in the U.S. on July 31, 2026. Zendaya returns as Mj, but it wasn’t always a sure thing.
Last year, there was a lot of confusion about whether she’d even be in the film. In November 2024, Zendaya had started working on The Odyssey with Holland, and that made things tricky.

There were even reports that her role might be cut down a lot because of scheduling conflicts. Jeff Sneider shared in December that her part had been “severely reduced” since she was also committed to filming Euphoria season 3 and Dune: Part Three around the same time.

For all the fans patiently awaiting the release of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, here’s a sweet scoop for you: Tom Holland‘s friendly neighbourhood web-slinger will reportedly be facing more than just the five villains that were previously said to be included in the movie.
According to the latest reports from industry insider Daniel Richtman via his handle @DanielRPK on X, “There are more villains in Spider-Man Brand New Day.” The source, however, didn’t reveal who exactly these other bad guys that Peter Parker could be battling would be.

Filming has paused on the set of Spider-Man: Brand New Day in Glasgow, Scotland as the crew moves to a new location, but we do have a couple of stunning new practical web-swinging shots for you to take a look at while we wait for shooting to resume (hopefully tomorrow).
Shared by the Spider-Man: Brand New Day Updates page and photographer @lifearielly, these photos give us an amazing new look at Tom Holland's stunt-double in full costume as he swings through the city.
Previous set videos have confirmed that this will be part of a much more intricate action set piece, as the wall-crawler avoids explosions and falling debris while attempting to catch up with an armoured vehicle.
Though nothing has been confirmed, rumor has it that the sequence revolves around Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal - who is currently in New York shooting The Punisher Special Presentation) attempting to...

In one of the first photos from the set of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, we spotted a tank with a demonic symbol on the side. Many fans rushed to the conclusion that it must belong to the Inner Demons, but Mister Negative reportedly isn't set to appear in the movie.
While that's a little disappointing, if that symbol means what we think it does, it could be a game-changer for the MCU and, more specifically, The Punisher. He's supposedly the one driving that tank, and the symbol bears at least a passing resemblance to The Hand's.
There's already chatter about Japanese-inspired villains appearing in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and The Hand's return would likely lead directly into Daredevil: Born Again season 3.
In the comics, Frank Castle was offered the chance to lead The Hand, but only agreed when they promised to resurrect his wife, Maria. Using the ninja organisation's immense resources,...

Back in May, it was reported that Spider-Man: Brand New Day would feature two Japanese villains. Mister Negative is Chinese, not Japanese, meaning fans were left puzzled.
Later, there were reports of Silver Samurai and Viper appearing in the movie. That didn't make a ton of sense as neither are typically Spider-Man villains; instead, they're closely connected to the X-Men and, more specifically, Wolverine.
However, if we're getting a gang war story with multiple street-level bad guys, they could appear in a small supporting role, with the stage set for them to return in future MCU projects.
While we wait and see what happens with that, costume prop modeller Monica Avitto was discovered by fans (it's since been taken down) and includes a page titled "Spiderman" with dozens of Japanese and Samurai costumes, masks, and items.
Plans change all the time, of course, and these characters may have been dropped from the script long ago.

Filming has yet to resume on Spider-Man: Brand New Day in Glasgow as we write this, but more photos from yesterday's shoot have just dropped and they're truly spectacular.
That wasn't Tom Holland in the suit yesterday, because there was a lot of stunt work going on, including some pretty impressive practical web-slinging. However, the actor's double is clearly well-versed in Spidey lore as he was spotted pulling off a few iconic poses.
We haven't been able to piece together fully what's happening in this sequence just yet. However, it's clearly a pursuit that has Spider-Man caught in the middle of the cops and whoever is driving that tank.
If online scoopers are to be believed, The Punisher is in the armoured vehicle, and he's chasing down a Department of Damage Control convoy, intending to inflict some lethal justice on The Scorpion.
It's not clear why Frank Castle has shifted his focus to superpowered threats,...

The next Spider-Man movie is on its way, and it’s already creating a lot of buzz. Titled Spider-Man: Brand New Day, this upcoming superhero film is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and is set to be the fourth Spider-Man movie starring Tom Holland. It follows the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021) and will be the 38th film in the MCU lineup.
Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios are teaming up again to bring this story to life. The movie is being directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, who is working from a script by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, the same writers behind the previous Spider-Man films. Alongside Holland, the cast includes Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Sadie Sink, Liza Colón-Zayas, Jon Bernthal, Mark Ruffalo, and Michael Mando.
Sony had started developing this fourth MCU Spider-Man movie back in August 2019 while No Way Home was still in the works.

Shortly after Venom: The Last Dance's release last year, it was reported that Sony Pictures was planning to pit Spider-Man and Venom against Knull in Spider-Man 4.
The Venom threequel may have ended Eddie Brock's symbiosis with Venom, but it established Knull as a Multiversal threat. Of course, with a piece of the Venom Symbiote left on Earth 616, it was easy enough to imagine how Eddie might be reunited with his alien costume (and how it could lead to Peter Parker finally getting his black suit).
Venom: The Last Dance did so-so numbers at the box office, and while a Spider-Man crossover never happened, most fans weren't too upset about Tom Holland and Tom Hardy never sharing the screen.
Had Spider-Man: Brand New Day been released between Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, the odds of Spidey meeting Venom would have likely been higher. Instead of more Multiversal madness,...

As work continues on Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the rumour mill has started churning out some big claims about what we can expect from the next Marvel Studios movie.
Yesterday, we learned that Michael Mando's Scorpion will have a key role in the movie, but not as the main antagonist. We still don't know who that will be, but this movie might be teeing up an even bigger story for Mac Gargan in the MCU.
According to scooper @MyTimeToShineH, the plan is for The Scorpion to eventually factor into Spider-Man 5, as well. That's all we have to go on for now, but this lends some weight to theories that, after Gargan is defeated here, he'll bond with the Venom Symbiote, essentially taking Eddie Brock's place in the MCU.

Lost And Hellboy Star Daniel Dae Kim Responds To Spider-man: Brand New Day Mister Negative Fan Casts
Rumours continue to swirl about Mister Negative being in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, with Daniel Dae Kim's name often brought up by fans as a worthy choice to portray the villain.
Screen Rant recently spoke with the Hawaii Five-0 and KPop Demon Hunters star, and asked Kim whether he's aware of the Mister Negative fan casts.
"I heard something about that over the past six or seven months, and I saw that," the actor acknowledged. "I've seen that people want other Asian actors to play him as well, so I'm happy to be included in that conversation, but I haven't heard anything."
"It's interesting," Kim said of the character. "I'm always up for an interesting role and an interesting project."
On the page, Martin Li survived being trafficked and experimented on as a child, but ended up with a split personality: a benevolent philanthropist and a malevolent, energy-manipulating crimelord.

Work is once again underway on Spider-Man: Brand New Day in Glasgow, Scotland, and Spidey is back in action as he swings through Midtown Manhattan.
Still in pursuit of the armoured vehicle thought to be part of The Punisher's new arsenal, the wall-crawler was even spotted leaping over a nearby explosion. Filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton is clearly prioritising practical action and stunts, and that should give this movie a very different feel.
It appears this sequence is being shot out of order, as we saw Spider-Man perched on top of this tank and attempting to break his way in on Sunday. If recent rumours are to be believed, Frank Castle is chasing down The Scorpion with the web-slinger in hot pursuit of them both.
There were concerns that Spider-Man: Brand New Day might be a full-blown Multiversal adventure, with Tom Holland's Peter Parker reunited with Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's Spider-Men.

Spider-Man isn't the only hero to receive a new costume in the Marvel Cinematic Universe this week. A new set photo from The Punisher Special Presentation has come online, revealing an updated suit for Jon Bernthal's titular vigilante.
Fans had to wait six years to see Bernthal's Frank Castle/Punisher again in the MCU following the cancellation of the character's Netflix series in 2019. When he finally popped up in Daredevil: Born Again Season 1, Bernthal's Punisher costume was nearly identical to the one he wore on The Punisher. However, the character's upcoming Special Presentation, which will continue from the mid-credits scene in Born Again's Season 1 finale, will debut a new look for the McU's Frank Castle, one that features a full beard and a smaller skull logo. We've had web-swinging in the other Spider-Man movies produced by Marvel Studios, but it wasn't until Spider-Man: No Way Home's closing moments that fans were treated to a proper "final swing" through Manhattan. Now that he's a street-level superhero, it looks like we can expect Spidey to swing between the Big Apple's skyscrapers, at last.
The stunt double isn't suited up (yet), but it looks like he'll be pursuing this tank—which may or may not belong to The Punisher—first through the skies, and later when he lands on top and attempts to stop the driver.
The biggest takeaway here, of course, is that this is being done practically rather than with visual effects. While...

It may not always be outright stated, but Marvel Studios has a history of (quietly) representing disability with their movie characters. From Tony Stark's chest prosthetic and Steve Rogers's intial pre-serum laundry list of physical disabilities to Stephen Strange's broken hands and Matt Murdock's blindness, disabilities have consistenly been present even if not outright at all times, like with Deadpool and Wolverine's titular protagonists suffering schizophrenia and post traumatic stress disorder.
Disney+ series have been louder about the struggles some of these characters face, with Hawkeye and Echo dealing with deafness and Daredevil: Born Again with blindness. Meanwhile, Moon Knight was a big step forward with the entire plot being focused on Marc Specter and Stephen Grant's Dissociative Identity Disorder, but he was far from the first character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to represent this struggle.

It's common knowledge that the Marvel Cinematic Universe is full of surprises. The one franchise where quite literally anything is possible, it has been entertaining, thrilling, shocking, and surprising people for almost two decades now. And, with Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars set to bring about the conclusion of the Multiverse Saga by reaching into Marvel's past, present and future, we're going to see a whole lot more of anything happening in the near-future.
Returns are everywhere in the MCU these days. Remember when Patrick Stewart's Professor Charles Xavier appeared in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness? What about when Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's Spideys returned in Spider-Man: No Way Home? And don't forget those multiple Deadpool and Wolverine cameos?Well, something tells us that Avengers: Doomsday is going to have even more than those combined.
All that being said, there is another major return...

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is finally taking shape ahead of its release in theaters next July, and we now have some rumoured new details courtesy of scooper Daniel Richtman.
It's no secret that the movie will deal with the aftermath of Spider-Man: No Way Home, with Peter Parker living in a world where no one remembers who he is. It probably won't surprise you to learn that the movie will have a darker tone, with Richtman comparing it to Kraven's Last Hunt.
The presence of characters like The Punisher and The Hulk has led fans to question whether this is going to be a dark, street-level adventure or another Avengers-adjacent blockbuster, and it seems it will be more the former than the latter.
Richtman emphasises that by pointing out that The Punisher will be his usual murderous, psychotic self, wielding advanced weaponry that helps him deal with threats like Spider-Man...

Spider-Man: Brand New Day paused production today thanks to the Scottish weather, but work will hopefully resume tomorrow. What we'll see next from the movie's set remains to be seen, but we know filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton is shooting a major action sequence.
One overlooked photo has gained traction on social media this afternoon for hinting at a major, long-awaited change to the MCU Spider-Man's mask.
As you can see, Holland is wearing a protective face covering under the web-slinger's mask, which means it doesn't conform too closely to the shape of his head and retains a smooth, comic book-like surface. However, we see this headgear extends around the actor's jaw in a way that ensures that when Spidey speaks, the mask will move at the same time as his mouth.
This effect was achieved with VFX in Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man: Far From Home, and Spider-Man: No Way Home, so...

Storm Floris has caused a brief delay in production on the set of Spider-Man: Brand New Day in Glasgow, Scotland, with filming expected to resume at some point tomorrow. We do have some new photos and videos from yesterday's shoot, however.
Though there's nothing particularly revealing here (unless you haven't seen the previous photos yet), photographer @UnboxPHD has shared some more shots of Tom Holland in his updated costume and mask, giving us another full look at the actor in his latest Spidey suit as he walks towards the camera.
Holland took some time to pose for pictures with a kid he spotted dressed as Spider-Man, and the lad's father has also shared some photos of his own.
Rumor has it that the action set piece being filmed revolves around Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal - who is currently in New York shooting The Punisher Special Presentation) attempting to run the...

Spider-Man: Brand New Day has paused filming in Glasgow, Scotland, today due to poor weather. That means no more set photos until tomorrow at the earliest, but Tom Holland himself has just shared some official behind-the-scenes shots.
In those, we see Spidey, mask and all, atop the armoured vehicle he chases through the streets of New York City. The Punisher is believed to be in the driving seat as he pursues a Department of Damage Control convoy transporting The Scorpion.
Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures were prepared for set leaks, so they shared an official look at Spidey's suit in advance. The mask wasn't showcased in that video, but based on what we see here and in other photos, the design is...amazing.
The wall-crawler's costume has undergone a few minor tweaks since it was first shown at the end of Spider-Man: No Way Home, with most of those likely...
