Katherine Shine Hery was born in Concord, Massachusetts. She grew up in Reading, a small
town 15min north of Boston. After graduating from the local High School Katie went on to pursue
Film Production at Keene State College in Keene, New Hampshire. Shortly after graduating with honors (Magnum cum Laude, Katie pursued her film and TV career on the east coast.
She worked on various commercials, music videos, documentaries and features, on and off set. After working on the east coast she moved to Los Angeles.
Katie worked as an on set production assistant and for various productions before landing a permanent job at DreamWorks Animation. She worked as a producer and director assistant and moved up to production coordinator for the matte painting and surfacing departments. After working on numerous features, TV shows, and specials, she left DWA in 2013 to move back east.
Katie continued her career on the east coast as a writer, publicist, marketer and producer. Katie has experience on the agency side of production as well as the client side.
Residing full time in Southern Maine, she is a full time freelancer senior producer with experience in film, TV, commercial, documentary, shorts, digital video, social, animation and more.
