Per TVLine, Dempsey has been cast as the star of the new Fox drama series Memory of a Killer. The news was announced by the network during its Upfront presentation on Monday, where it was revealed that the show will premiere during the 2025-26 broadcast television season. Dempsey will be playing Angelo Ledda, a "hitman leading a dangerous double life, while hiding an even deadlier personal secret." That secret is that he develops early onset Alzheimer's, which adds new complications to balancing his two personas as a "fearsome NYC hitman and sleepy upstate Cooperstown photocopier salesman and father."

Fox’s just-announced drama series Memory of a Killer has found its lead actor.

Patrick Dempsey has signed on to star in the series, in which he’ll play a hitman who is diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s just as his double life begins to collapse. The series is based on a 2003 Belgian movie that won several awards in its home country.

The role will mark a return to network television for Dempsey, who starred in Grey’s Anatomy for more than a decade. He’s coming off Dexter: Original Sin at Showtime and starred in the Italian series Devils from 2020-22, which aired on The CW in the United States.

Dempsey is set for the lead role played by Jan Decleir in the original movie and Liam Neeson in the American feature adaptation.

Fox has given a straight-to-series order to Memory of a Killer, a thriller about a hitman who develops early onset Alzheimer’s, for the 2025-2026 season. From writers Ed Whitmore and Tracey Malone, Warner Bros. TV and Fox Entertainment, the series is inspired by the 2003 Belgian film De Zaak Alzheimer (La Memoire Du Tueur), which was remade as the 2022 American action thriller film Memory starring Liam Neeson and directed by Martin Campbell.

Memory of a Killer‘s greenlight follows the series pickup by Fox of hourlong comedy series Best Medicine starring Josh Charles.

The two projects, which emerged as frontrunners on Fox’s development slate earlier this spring to score slots for 2025-26, have something else in common — both are based on European IP as is Fox’s breakout hit of this season, medical drama Doc.

Some of the best anime don’t need an expansive universe and go on for decades, they just need one season with a few episodes and a focused plot. 91 Days is one such hidden gem of an anime series, an amazing thriller with a revenge plot that rivals The Godfather franchise, though it isn’t a trilogy and nearly that vast.

91 Days only has 12 episodes, with an additional original video animation, and within this short span, you get a steady storyline with great pacing and a satisfying ending that allows viewers to interpret it for themselves. While most people are frustrated with open endings, 91 Days does it with grace.

The plot might be quite heavy, but it’s worth it. Angelo Lagusa’s story is something you can get quickly invested in from the get-go. You root for his revenge, but also come to know and understand the villains.

Sylvester Stallone is set to return, reigniting his mafia empire in the heart of Oklahoma. Paramount+ has given Tulsa King Season 3 the green light, promising even more action, intrigue, and unforgettable moments from the underworld tale.

For two seasons, Dwight “The General” Manfredi’s character, played by Stallone, has gone through a series of cabal, and ending Season 2 with a cliffhanger was the right direction.

Angelo Bruschini, the masterful guitarist and producer who played with Massive Attack, The Blue Aeroplanes, and others, has died from lung cancer. He was 62 years old.
