Zombie Plane has had it with these motherfucking zombies on this motherfucking plane, as production has wrapped on the indie action-horror-comedy.

Variety reports that Ice-t and Brian Austin Green have joined the cast, which is led by Vanilla Ice, Sophie Monk, and Chuck Norris as fictionalized versions of themselves.

In Zombie Plane, celebrities are seen by day as the faces we know and love, but by night they are saving the world from under-wraps attacks. Led by Commander Chuck Norris, they stand between world peace and humanities’ destruction.

The film aims to combine the “comedy and heart of Shaun of the Dead with the suspense and horror of World War Z and the look and feel of Barbie.”

Exclusive: Australian indie Red Empire has launched a podcast version of its upcoming sci-fi TV series Interface.

Interface: The Creator’s Champion follows Wyatt, a tech genius abducted and coerced into competing in the illicit Circuit Games for a clandestine team led by the fierce and beautiful Frey alongside Jasper, a man dangerously trained in military combat who struggles with Ptsd.

Charles Jazz Terrier, who created Red Empire’s Melbourne fitness comedy WTFitness, narrates alongside Ellie Popov, both of whom are starring in the upcoming Interface TV series. SoundVision Gc and Organic Media Group are co-producers with Red Empire.

The Australian-Taiwanese TV version of Interface was set to shoot around three years ago before Covid-19 struck and has been greenlit with the support of partnering Australian anchor platform, Nine Network. David Ellender’s Sonar Entertainment was initially distributing worldwide.

Taiwan-Australia Sci-fi Series ‘Interface’ Secures Sonar Entertainment as Distributor
Image
David Ellender’s Sonar Entertainment will handle international distribution of “Interface,” an e-sports sci-fi series conceived by Australian actress and screenwriter Ellie Popov. Production in Australia and Taiwan is set to begin in the first quarter of 2021.

The story involves a young tech wizard who is kidnapped and thrust into a cyber-punk world, the Circuit Games, which are a breeding ground for mind-controlling military technology.

Popov’s Red Empire Productions developed the show. The company’s Amie Casey will produce alongside Justin Jones and Zeus Zamani’s Los Angeles-based Thriller Films, Adam Horner’s Ignite Pictures (Australia), and Steve Chicorel and Kelly Mi Li’s Taipei-based Organic Media Group. Nick Kozakis is set to direct the majority of the episodes.

The series is a private-sector co-venture that does not use a co-production treaty, but expects to be able to access federal and state rebate schemes in Australia, and government production support schemes in Taiwan.
