Jeremy is the great-grandson of Ruth Russell, a lady who boldly stood with her colleagues in performance to be a charter member of AFRA, which later morphed into AFTRA with the advent of television.

She was a cardholding member of the Actors Equity Association and the Screen Actor's Guild as well, and can lay claim to having had time on the air and on stage with the likes of Ginger Rogers, Orson Welles, Burgess Meredith, Patrick Swayze, Marilu Henner, and Treat Williams.

She was a lead character on a radio show titled "Just Plain Bill," (CBS Radio/NBC Radio) and played a schoolmarm named "Miss Lynch" on the road with "Grease" in 1974.
