This year is going to be a Fan-tastic one for Marvel superheroes and villains. Plenty of movies are coming in 2025 that will have Marvel Cinematic Universe fans begging for more. However, the magic is when the character on the page is embodied by the perfect person on the screen.
Several X-Men and Avengers of the past have proven when those two merge into one perfectly, a supernova of excitement can happen. One of the superpowers of Kevin Feige and his team is casting. Not enough praise can be lauded for the work Marvel Studios puts in to choose the right individual to bring their characters to life. Look at 2025 in the MCU, which will include Harrison Ford as President Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross/Red Hulk, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Simon Williams/Wonder Man, Vanessa Kirby, Pedro Pascal, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as the Fantastic Four, and Ralph Ineson as Galacatus.

There's been a lot of casting buzz surrounding Marvel Studios' X-Men reboot lately, with Stranger Things star Sadie Sink a supposed frontrunner for Jean Grey and The Bear's Ayo Edebiri potentially among those being eyed for Storm. We've also heard that Gambit and Kitty Pryde will be in the movie.
Today, we finally have some news on the team's leader, Scott Summers/Cyclops. While it's still early days for the project - which, last we heard, is being penned by The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes scribe Michael Lesslie - it does appear as if casting is slowly beginning.
According to scooper @MyTimeToShineH, "Jack Champion is being considered for the role of Cyclops in the X-Men reboot."
Champion's main credits include Miles "Spider" Socorro in Avatar: The Way of Water and Ethan Landry in Scream VI. He also shot a small role as "Kid on Bike" in Avengers: Endgame,...

The Scream killers continue to build following Scream 6, and the Ghostface mask has been worn by almost 20 different people. Throughout the six movies, an impressive number of characters have worn the Ghostface mask, which is only added to with the franchises TV series. While many got their hands dirty with the killings, others acted more like masterminds or distractions. Scream VI follows the fun of looking at the movie's ensemble and trying to decide who plays Ghostface before the final unmasking reveals it all.
Wes Craven's Scream introduced the world to a new face in horror. The villain wasn't a maniac who targeted random people and would keep returning - like icons Michael Myers, Jason Voorhees, or Craven's own Freddy Kreuger. Instead, Ghostface was the guise used for murderers on a specific mission, which invariably ended up with Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) as the target. Each Scream...

The Scream 2 killer ending features a blood-soaked climax packed with deaths, revelations, and twists. Its worth unpacking how the movie sets up and pays off its killer ending. The film sees Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) once again targeted by knife-wielding killers in Ghostface costumes two years after Billy Loomis (Skeet Ulrich) and Stu Machers (Matthew Lillard) original massacre. This time around, the film takes place at Sidney's college, where the film finds a suitable counterpart to the originals suburban town of Woodsboro.
Scream 2s finale manages to deliver a satisfying and tense showdown between Sidney and the two killers, even if the revelation isnt quite as rewarding the second time around. While the original film ends with Sidney managing to dispatch the killers, the second finds her in more dire circumstances. However, when the mastermind turns on the secondary killer, Sidneys powers of negotiation and some unlikely help from...

Scream 6 put a new spin on the franchise, as there were several killers, the most of any Scream film, and not all of them were working together. The movie has a total of five killers, including two that were introduced in Scream 6's inventive opening scene. This scene was the first time the beginning of a Scream movie revealed the identity of the Ghostface killer. However, Jason Carvey and his friend Greg proved to have a short run as the masked killers as there was another Ghostface who wanted them out of the way.
At the end of Scream 6, Detective Bailey, Quinn Bailey, and Ethan Landry revealed themselves as killers. Their motive was that Richie was Detective Bailey's son, and Quinn and Ethan were his siblings. They wanted to kill Sam and Tara as revenge, first having to kill Jason and Greg before they could get to the Carpenter sisters.

Given the controversy and expectations surrounding Scream 7, the movie has a lot to prove, including that it can somehow feature a death that tops one of Ghostface's most memorable kills. The slasher film is directed by Kevin Williamson, the franchise's creator and writer of Scream, Scream 2, and Scream 4, and the script is reportedly penned by Guy Busick with a story by Busick and James Vanderbilt, the writers of Scream (2022) and Scream VI. So, Scream 7 has a lot of talent and experience behind the scenes. But that doesn't guarantee that the movie will be successful.
Neve Campbell is set to reprise her role as Sidney Prescott in Scream 7, while neither Melissa Barrera (who plays Sam Carpenter) nor Jenna Ortega (who plays Tara Carpenter) are a part of the movie.
Not much else is (concretely) known about Scream 7's story other than the fact that Neve Campbell's Sidney is returning.

Scream VII is officially in development and fans of the franchise are waiting anxiously to see who the next Ghostface killer is. While Ghostface is always the most alluring aspect of the Scream movies, the series can no longer lean on the same formula as past films. Scream is in major need of an interesting swerve to keep things fresh and developing a familiar character like Sam Carpenter into something more than just the franchise's new final girl would be a fascinating direction to take.
With Scream securing its status as a beloved franchise following Scream V and proving it once again with Scream VI, it's now firmly time to move the series forward into unexplored territory. Scream 6 had to delete several scenes from its final cut, including one that revealed Ethan helped Bailey kill his mother, adding more tragic context to the Bailey family's revenge plot. The trailer for Scream 6 revealed an extended call between Gale and Ghostface, underscoring Gale's history with the killer and implying her potential demise. Scream 6 originally included a scene with Detective Wayne Bailey standing over Quinn's "dead body," but it was cut to avoid giving away the twist that Quinn and Bailey were Ghostface killers.
With a runtime that’s approximately two hours long, Scream 6 understandably had to delete several scenes from its final cut, some of which would have made significant changes to the movie. Considering the sequel initially had to make some big adjustments to account for the absence of Neve Campbell’s Sidney Prescott in Scream 6, the 2023 movie has plenty of potential storylines...

The iconic Ghostface scene in Scream 6 becomes even cooler when it is revealed that the killers are siblings, adding to the intensity and intrigue.
The iconic twin Ghostface scene only gets better when the killers are revealed as Quinn Bailey and Ethan Landry in Scream 6. According to Scream 6's successful box office records, the sixth installment of the franchise, released over 20 years after the original film's premiere, proves the franchise is still viable. Scream 6 continues Scream's "requel" series, borrowing many themes from Scream 2, including the film following the main characters to college. Sadly, Scream 6 was the first film in the franchise without Neve Campbell, as Paramount didn't want to pay her the amount she believed she deserved for starring in the franchise for over two decades.

Scream 7 could bring back Josh Segarra's Danny as Ghostface, repeating the franchise twist of having the boyfriend as the killer. Josh Segarra's Ghostface audition was highly praised by Scream 6's directors, making him a strong choice for the role in Scream 7. Segarra's pitch for a Ghostface musical in Scream 7 also aligns with his Broadway background and could provide an interesting storyline similar to Scream 3.
Scream 7’s new killer could finally utilize one returning actor with a highly praised Ghostface audition, though this would also mean repeating a franchise twist for the fourth time. Scream 6 marked a first in the history of the Scream movie series as it’s the first to have three Ghostface killers, but a theory claims that there’s a secret fourth Ghostface. Among the biggest trends in film in recent years are reboots and requels, and these have found the most success in the horror genre, and among the horror franchises that have been revived through this is Scream. Over a decade after the release of Scream 4, which gave proper closure to the stories of Sidney Prescott, Gale Weathers, and Dewey Riley, a new wave of murders by a masked killer took place in Woodsboro, bringing these three characters back and introducing a new generation of victims and survivors.

This is the latest in a long line of action movies starring Neeson. Scream 2's leaked script was proven fake when the movie premiered, but 26 years later, Scream 6 ran with its idea for the Ghostface reveal. The Scream franchise continues to shock fans every time one of the films reveals its Ghostface killer. To keep things under wraps, filmmakers won't even let their cast know who the Ghostface killer is until it's time to film. For Scream 5 and Scream 6, filmmakers were so secretive that the person who would ultimately be revealed as Ghostface didn't even know they were Ghostface in the beginning. Filmmakers would never be so careless as to let a script leak.
However, an alleged script leaked online before production even started for Scream 2. Luckily it wasn't the actual script but a dummy script. It was created so that if actors or someone who might work on the film wanted to read the script, filmmakers would...

Sam Carpenter makes sure Detective Bailey has no chance of survival when she stabs him multiple times at the end of Scream 6. The sixth installment in the Scream franchise had more Ghostface killers than any of the other films. The most the previous films have seen was two, with Scream 3 being the only film with one killer. However, Scream 6 saw two killers in the iconic intro, followed by three more at the end of the film. The ending revealed Quinn Bailey, Ethan Landry, and Detective Bailey were the main Ghostface killers after Sam and her friends throughout Scream 6.
Detective Bailey had been pretending to help Sam and her friends track down Ghostface throughout the film while Ethan and Quinn posed as their friends. Quinn also faked her own death earlier in the film, shocking her friends when they found out she was actually alive and out to get them.

Ghostface from the Scream franchise is a unique horror movie killer as new characters take on the persona with every Ghostface kill count differing. The reveal of who is behind the Ghostface mask is a big moment in every Scream movie, and it often turns out that there is more than one killer. That makes it fun to determine every Ghostface kill count separately and see which of the killers was the deadliest of all.
There are six films in the Scream franchise so far with but 13 Ghostface killers altogether. Aside from Scream 3, each entry had two killers that worked together to terrorize Sidney and murder everyone around her. As such, it can be messy trying to figure out who kills who in each film. By looking at the framing of scenes, their sequential order, and some clever filmmaking choices, it is possible to give a somewhat accurate count of each killer’s victims.

Scream 6 mirrored Scream 2 and revealed that one of the Ghostface killers was a vengeful parent, though in this case, all the killers were from the same family, and they were avenging Scream 5’s killer Richie Kirsch (Jack Quaid) – but where was the Bailey family during the events of Scream 5 and why didn’t Richie mention them to Sam? The Scream franchise seized the current wave of reboots and sequels in the horror genre with Scream 5, which brought the saga back to life, and its success made way for a sequel simply titled Scream 6, which continued the stories of the new generation of characters along with two legacy characters: Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox) and Kirby Reed (Hayden Panettiere).

Scream 3's Ghostface reveal didn't work because of the killer's lack of a connection to Sidney. Scream 3 brings Sidney Prescott, Gale Weathers, and Dewey Riley to Hollywood, where director Roman Bridges is directing Stab 3. Warning! This article contains major Spoilers for Scream 6!The Scream movies have found clever ways to bring back deceased characters, setting up more past Ghostface killers to return in Scream 7. Although each Ghostface killer has died after their Scream massacre, such characters maintain significant impacts on the attacks’ survivors, leading to a few Ghostfaces being brought back posthumously. Scream 6’s homicidal Bailey family even erect a shrine to all the past Ghostface killers, which includes artifacts and the masks of each attacker, from Billy and Stu in Scream (1996) to Richie and Amber in Scream (2022). Scream continuously emphasizes the notion that past Ghostfaces will always influence the next, so the potential sequel Scream 7 isn’t apt to be an exception.
Scream 6’s record-breaking five killers brought the franchise’s total number of Ghostfaces to 14, but not every character to don the mask and knife is apt to return in future movies.

Scream VI filmmakers Radio Silence, the collective that consists of Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, Tyler Gillett and Chad Villella, have set a new franchise record with a $44.5 million opening weekend.
Just 14 months after their legacy sequel Scream (2022) reinvigorated Kevin Williamson and Wes Craven’s slasher franchise by introducing it to a whole new generation of horror fans, co-directors Bettinelli-Olpin and Gillett, alongside producer Villella, are now opening up about the choices they did and didn’t make. For starters, the persistent rumor that Stu Macher (Mathew Lillard) would reprise his co-Ghostface role from the original 1996 film and serve as Scream VI’s Ghostface mastermind may or may not have been started by their co-screenwriter Guy Busick.
“We love that … It’s cool to be a part of a franchise where who lives and who dies is so meaningful to people. And who knows, with Guy at the keyboard, anything is possible with Stu Macher,...

Practise your best Roger Jackson impression because Scream 6 is carving itself a new legacy. Just a year after Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett brought the slasher series swinging back into our lives after an 11-year hiatus, the phone is ringing again. Sadly, we aren’t saying “Hellooooo Sidney,” as Scream 6 is the franchise’s first without Neve Campbell. Don’t worry, we’ll always have Courteney Cox’s Gale. We’ll always have Gale, right?
Little did we know when Wes Craven cast Drew Barrymore for a shocking opening kill back in 1996, Scream would hack its way to the heart of horror and immortalize Ghostface alongside Freddy, Jason, and the rest. It’s New York, new rules, in Scream 6, while we add more unhinged killers to the Ghostface hall of fame.
From vengeful mothers to long-lost siblings, cliché boyfriends to Matthew Lillard,...

Warning: Spoilers ahead for Scream 6!
Scream 6 explored new territory that the first five films never touched, one of them being a record number of Ghostfaces in one movie. One thing that sets Scream apart from other slasher franchises is that most Scream films have more than one killer, and the killer is different every time. Films like Halloween follow the same killer, Michael Myers, as he perpetually goes after Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis.) Scream's concept of several copycat Ghostfaces appearing has allowed the franchise to reinvent itself repeatedly. Scream 5 introduced a new generation, allowing Sam Carpenter (Melissa Barrera) to fill Sidney Prescott's shoes.
This also allows Scream to switch things up constantly. The first two Scream films included two killers working together against Sidney and her friends. However, when the Scream franchise returned for its third film, there was only one Ghostface. The ever-changing Ghostface...

Spoiler Alert: This interview contains spoilers from “Scream VI,” now playing in theaters.
The casual horror fan probably noticed a few iconic masks and monsters in the “Scream VI” subway scene: There’s Jason Voorhees, Michael Myers, Pinhead and even modern staples like Florence Pugh’s flower dress from “Midsommar” and a group of tethered people from Jordan Peele’s “Us.” But costume designer Avery Plewes and directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett went to extra lengths to pack more than 50 Easter eggs, costumes and blink-and-you-miss-it references into the latest “Scream.”
Tracking down Ghostface in New York City, the “Scream VI” crew, consisting of Tara Carpenter (Jenna Ortega), Sam Carpenter (Melissa Barrera), Mindy Meeks-Martin (Jasmin Savoy Brown), Chad Meeks-Martin (Mason Gooding), Ethan Landry (Jack Champion) and Danny Brackett (Josh Segarra), pile into the subway to confront the latest masked killer. However, it’s Halloween time, which means the train car...

Scream 6 star Jack Champion has just accomplished an incredibly rare box office feat. Champion, who plays new character Ethan Landry in the slasher sequel, is a rising star who was first brought to broad attention in December 2022 thanks to his role as Jake Sully and Neytiri's adopted human son Spider in the James Cameron sequel Avatar: The Way of Water. Although he has previously appeared on television and in independent features, the only other major wide release where he has a credited role is the 2019 Marvel Cinematic Universe crossover Avengers: Endgame, where he plays a kid on a bike who Ant-Man encounters once he gets out of the Quantum Realm.
Per The Hollywood Reporter, the opening weekend of Scream 6 is now projected to rake in a domestic total of $43.5 million, knocking out Creed III to become No. 1 at the domestic box office. This means that Champion now has the...

Warning! This article contains Spoilers for Scream 6!Scream 6 may have proved the biggest opening scene kill theory right, but a major twist still subverted expectations for the trademark sequence. The opening kill scene is one of the biggest moments in every Scream movie, beginning with the unexpected death of movie star Drew Barrymore’s Casey Becker in the original film. Since then, nearly every opening scene has included Ghostface attacking a character portrayed by a popular Hollywood star, including Omar Epps and Jada Pinkett Smith in Scream 2; Liev Schreiber as Cotton Weary in Scream 3; Anna Paquin, Kristen Bell, Lucy Hale, and Shenae Grimes in Scream 4; and Jenna Ortega in Scream (2022), though the latter survived.
Following tradition, Scream 6’s casting of scream queen Samara Weaving (Ready or Not) led to plenty of theories that she would be the major death in the 2023 sequel’s opening scene. Of course,...

“Scream VI” is here, a little more than a year after the last installment. And the body count is rising.
In “Scream 6,” Sam Carpenter (Melissa Barrera) and her younger half-sister Tara (Jenna Ortega), both survivors of 2022’s “Scream,” have moved to New York City. Tara is attending Blackmore University and not visiting any actual Manhattan landmarks because they shot the movie in Montreal. A couple of other survivors from the last movie, twins Mindy Meeks-Martin (Jasmin Savoy Brown) and Chad Meeks-Martin (Mason Gooding), are also along for the ride and attending Blackmore University. But wouldn’t you know it? A mask-wielding killer has arrived, once again, and targeted Sam and Tara once again. Of course, this wouldn’t be a “Scream” installment without some legacy characters, and Gale Weathers (Courtney Cox), still reeling from Dewey’s death in the 2022 film, makes her return alongside Kirby Reed (Hayden Panettiere) from “Scream 4.

Warning! This article contains major Spoilers for Scream 6!The original Ghostface killers have continued to bear great importance on the franchise, but did Matthew Lillard's Stu Macher actually return in Scream 6? While accomplices Stu Macher and Billy Loomis died at the end of the original Scream movie, their family members and legacy have continued to be involved in subsequent Ghostface massacres. Scream (2022) revealed that Billy Loomis unknowingly fathered a daughter named Sam Carpenter before his 1996 death, leading Skeet Ulrich’s Billy to return in Sam’s visions. Following Billy’s Scream (2022) cameo, theories grew about a potential Stu return in future Scream movies.
Since a deleted role in Scream 3 revealed Stu survived, there’s been much speculation about whether Stu really died or not in the original Scream movie. Consequently, Billy Loomis’ return through Sam’s visions in Scream 5 caused excitement for Stu Macher's possible...

Warning! This article contains major Spoilers for Scream 6!Gale Weathers is the only living legacy character to return in Scream 6, but does she make it out of the New York City Ghostface massacre alive? In true Scream franchise form, Gale takes on a role similar to her Scream 2 trajectory by returning to her intrusive investigative journalism ways – including a punch in the face from Jenna Ortega’s Tara Carpenter. This time, Gale is taking on Ghostface without her usual companions Sidney Prescott and Dewey Riley, as the latter was tragically killed by Amber Freeman in Scream (2022).
Since Gale and Sidney are the only surviving main characters from the original Scream movie, their time in the franchise appears limited. As such, Neve Campbell’s Sidney failing to return in Scream 6 meant that Gale would inevitably face a personal attack by Ghostface. After being sent away from the movie theater shrine,...

What is left of the old Woodsboro gang is back together, but this time leaving their horrific memories of battling the masked evil of Ghostface in return for college and a new life in New York City. They should have known better.
In this sixth edition of the franchise Kevin Williamson (who returns as executive producer) created in 1996, Scream VI is a direct continuation of the highly successful 2022 reboot of the series, or “requel” as the characters fondly refer to it. It features the return of the “core four” survivors of that recent Ghostface assault in which, ironically for a horror franchise, most of the victims were the white characters, now leaving a diverse quartet including sisters Samantha Carpenter (Melissa Barrera), the illegitimate daughter of original Ghostface Billy Loomis, and her half-sister Tara, along with their twins and their BFFs Mindy (Jasmin Savoy Brown) and Chad (Mason Gooding...
