As the holy month of Ramzan coalesces with the festival of Holi, a small unknown film comes along to remind us that there is nothing really to choose between ‘Rahman’ and ‘Hanuman,’ that they are in fact two sides of the coin.

Of course, getting there is far more difficult than just pontificating on the oneness of mankind. Director Avinash Das, whose spunky fearless Anarkali Of Arrah was the surprise of its year, springs a charming heartwarming surprise again. This time, he rinses his rumination in mellow molecules of harmony.

This is a small film with long legs. Pithy and pungent, it takes us into two adjacent lanes in Lucknow where Hindus and Muslims coexist… until a politician, Ajay Tiwari, descends with his vote-bank politics.

What ensues is heartily amusing and profoundly grievous. Nothing that Das and his writer Punarvasu tell us here is startling or revealing. We all know...

'India’s Got Talent 10' gets its Top 6 finalists

The talent reality show ‘India’s Got Talent’ season 10 has found its top six finalists who have presented to the audience some unique and unmatched talent from all around the country. The ‘Top 6’ finalists ar – Bollywood hip-hop dancers, Zero Degree from Mumbai, Aerial Malkhamb group Abujhmad Malkhamb Academy from Chhattisgarh, the dance group Golden Girls from Kolkata, ‘Acro dancers’ The Art, Indian Classical Fusion Band – Raaga Fusion, and the Mahila Band from Nagaland.

Coming from a small place in Chhattisgarh the Abujhmad Malkhamb Academy proved that with hard work and determination, nothing is impossible. The group blew everyone’s mind with their Malkhamb acts.

Shedding light on the journey and expressing their happiness on reaching the finals, group leader Manoj said: “The journey has been filled with hard work, dedication, and the unwavering support of the entire nation. We can’t put into words how grateful and ecstatic we are to stand on this grand stage.
