Sheila Ribeiro

Sheila Ribeiro is an Artist working on transmedia, fashion,
choreography and cinema. Interested by communication dynamics, she
explores illusion, desire and displacement within post colonial
perspectives - proposing the searching of transitory epistemologies.
PHD student at PUC (SP/ FAPESP grant). She holds a MFA from UQAM
(Montreal). She has been working worldwide in several projects as a
Consultant in Art, Media and Communication as well as a choreographer
for stage, installation and film. Her particular interest largely
concerns contemporary communication, touching metropolitan paradigms
and aesthetics, new media mutation and transitory cognitions. She works
through a long collaboration history with Choreographers, Musicians,
Photographers, Filmmakers, Anthropologists and Critics as so Massimo
Canevacci, Sophie Deraspe, Bénoit Lachambre and Wagner Schwartz.
