Arienne Mandi (The Night Agent) has joined the cast of Chicago P.D. as a series regular for Season 13.
Sources close to production tell Deadline, Mandi will play Chicago P.D. officer Naomi Kerr. She is a former soldier and military contractor who is said to thrive in dangerous situations. She is described as a fearless outsider who keeps her cards close to the vest. Names and character descriptions could be changed at any stage of production.
Chicago P.D. follows the men and women of the Chicago Police Department’s elite Intelligence Unit, combatting the city’s most heinous offenses – organized crime, drug trafficking, high-profile murders and beyond.
Naomi arrives at a particularly chaotic time for the team, following the murder of Deputy Chief Charlie Reid (Shawn Hatosy), orchestrated by Sergeant Hank Voight (Jason Beghe). Although Detective Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati) and Officer Dante Torres (Benjamin Levy Aguilar) are off...

Big news has been revealed for Season 13 of Chicago P.D. following the recent exit of a major star. Last month, it was revealed that Toya Turner would not be returning as Kiana Cook in Season 13. Now, a replacement actress has been found.
Per Deadline, Arienne Mandi (The Night Agent) has just been cast as a series regular in Chicago P.D. Season 13, filling in the void left by Turner's departure. Mandi is playing the role of Naomi Kerr, described as a "former soldier and military contractor who is said to thrive in dangerous situations," as well as a "fearless outsider who keeps her cards close to the vest." However, it was also reported that this is tentative, as the character's name and other details could change.

When one door closes, another one opens. Or in the case of Chicago Pd, when one officer’s watch ends, another’s begins. Chicago Pd has added a star from one of Netflix's biggest shows, tapping a key star of The Night Agent for a major role in season 13!
As first reported by Deadline, Chicago Pd has welcomed Arienne Mandi to the cast of season 13 in what is being described as a series regular role.
While Mandi’s character information could change, she is currently attached to play Chicago P.D. officer Naomi Kerr. Officer Kerr is a former soldier and military contractor who has a knack for thriving in dangerous situations, something we’re sure is going to help her thrive on the Intelligence Unit, which is known for being thrust into dangerous situations.
Interestingly, she’s also described as being a “fearless outsider,” known for keeping things close to her vest.

How Ironheart’s Deal With Mephisto Left Room For An Unexpected Team-Up (Photo Credit – Instagram)
Marvel’s Ironheart ended its run on July 1, 2025, with its last episode, The Past is the Past. The closing scenes dropped two major reveals, one emotional, one cosmic. Riri Williams (played by Dominique Thorne) went toe-to-toe with Mephisto, the devilish entity finally brought to life by Sacha Baron Cohen, and made a deal that could flip the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Bringing back her late friend Natalie (Lyric Ross) might seem like a bold but emotional choice, but every move has a price in the MCU. Riri’s decision to strike a deal with Mephisto comes with unseen strings. Now, a wave of otherworldly consequences may be heading her way. And oddly enough, her former foe Parker Robbins (Anthony Ramos) could be the one to save her skin.
First look at Sacha Baron Cohen as Mephisto in #Ironheart.

It’s hard to forget Lyric Ross as Deja in This Is Us. At such a young age, she delivered a standout performance. For some actors, that can be a hard act to follow in adulthood. Not for Ross. As the AI version of Riri Williams’ best friend Natalie in Marvel Studios’ Ironheart series on Disney+, Ross has been one of the show’s many unexpected delights.
Black Panther fans first met Ironheart‘s Dominique Thorne’s Riri in Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever three years ago, but her character actually first appeared in the comics in 2016 in Invincible Iron Man Vol. 3 #7. After several other comic appearances, she got her own standalone Ironheart comic in 2018. A teenage prodigy from the South Side of Chicago, Riri attends MIT with every intention of following in Tony Stark’s or, rather, Iron Man’s, footsteps. Lack of finances, however, complicates that...

This post contains spoilers for "Ironheart" season 1.
Riri Williams, how could you? After all that effort taking down Parker Robbins (Anthony Ramos), you make a deal with some second-hand Satan like the long-awaited Mephisto (Sacha Baron Cohen)? What would your best pal Natalie (Lyric Ross) say if she could see you now? Well, perhaps she can share her thoughts on the matter now that she's been brought back from the dead.
After some cryptic quick cuts and a drawn out conversation with the demonic presence that had recently abandoned The Hood, it was soon revealed that Riri (Dominique Thorne) had accepted Mephisto's offer and asked for her friend Natalie to come back to the land of the living. For someone as smart as Riri, it sure did feel like a dumb decision to make, and it's one that will absolutely come with repercussions whenever we're reunited with Ironheart in the future.

Voight’s unit is changing once again on “Chicago P.D.” Toya Turner, who joined the show during Season 12, will not return for the upcoming season in the fall.
“My time on Chicago P.D. has come to a close. This show challenged me, sharpened me, and revealed what l’m made of. I’ve evolved through this experience, both as an artist and in my craft, and I’m walking away with depth, clarity, and momentum for whatever comes next,” Turner wrote via Instagram on Thursday. “To the cast and crew: thank you for the warmth, the laughter, and the generosity you brought every day. It was an honor to share the screen and the set with such talent.”
She continued, “To the ChiHards: thank you for welcoming me, rooting for me, and showing Kiana love. And to everyone who believes in me: your support means the world. I’m excited for the opportunities ahead.

The first three episodes introduce us to MIT student Riri Williams in a new Chicago setting, different from where we saw her in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. There are plenty of MCU characters whose stories have diverged from their comic origins. Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani) had abilities similar to Reed Richards' embiggening powers on the page, which were changed to crystal-forming skills in her show. Baron Zemo (Daniel Bruhl), too, shifted from being the more comic-accurate son of a former Captain America foe to an elite and vengeful Sokovian soldier seeking justice for his family's loss. Now, Riri Williams, aka Ironheart (Dominique Thorne), is the latest hero to have some adjustments made to her backstory. The difference is that this feels more like an obligation than an essential part of storytelling.
In the comics, Ironheart's story kicks into gear when Tony Stark visits and endorses Williams' work, followed later by an artificial AI modeled after Stark himself. It's a failsafe that kicks in after Stark goes into a coma...

Ironheart looks to build on our MCU introduction to Riri, and with more space for her background and potential to come into view, the latest Marvel TV series is a winner. While Tony Stark might be gone, our latest armored hero has her own vices to overcome.

As Chicago Pd gears up to begin production on its new season next month, it seems Wolf Entertainment and NBC wanted to make sure one key member of the cast was locked in for the new season well in advance!
Deadline has confirmed that Jason Beghe will be back for season 13, guaranteeing Hank Voight will not be going anywhere. Beghe is still under a multi-year deal, with it seeming that NBC simply opted to pick up his option for the 2025-26 season.
While we know that Beghe will be back for season 13, the status of the rest of the Chicago Pd cast remains unclear. The hope is that the full ensemble will return for the show’s forthcoming season, this includes Marina Squerciati (Kim Burgess), Patrick John Flueger (Adam Ruzek), Laroyce Hawkins (Kevin Atwater), Benjamin Levy Aguilar (Dante Torres), Toya Turner (Kiana Cook), and Amy Morton (Trudy Platt), all of whom are hoped to return.

One Chicago is experiencing growing pains. The franchise has been around since 2012, and like most shows that have crossed the decade mark, it's gone up in cost and cast salary. NBC renewed all three of the franchise's shows, but the network also laid down some ground rules regarding the amount of time actors appear in a given season. These rules were on full display Wednesday, May 7.
Chicago Med, Chicago Fire and Chicago Pd aired new episodes, and all three of them were missing crucial cast members. Med was down Dr. Hannah Asher (Jessy Schram) despite the character's brief cameo on Chicago Fire. The firefighting drama had to make due without four of its central characters, including Sam Carver (Jake Lockett), Lizzie Novak (Jocelyn Hudon), Dom Pascal (Dermot Mulroney), and Violet Mikami (Hanako Greensmith).

Chicago Pd has not been hurting for storylines in season 12. There's been a lot going on for each of the Iu members, but the one storyline that trumps the others in terms of importance and emotional impact is the pending wedding between Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati) and Adam Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger). And we finally have some information about it.
The procedural drama has really made a point of keeping the details of the wedding under wraps, to the point that the only confirmation we've gotten is through Squerciati's social media. It helped that the season 12 finale was titled "Vows," but even then, Chicago Pd was the only One Chicago title to not be given a proper synopsis when finale information was released on May 5.

One Chicago Wednesday has been an NBC tradition for a decade. All three shows have held down the fort during the network's primetime schedule. Barring, of course, the Wednesdays where there are no new episodes. April 30 is one such instance. But don't worry, fans won't have to put up with too many more breaks during the 2024-25 season.
Chicago Med, Chicago Fire and Chicago Pd are set to return on Wednesday, May 7. The start and stop rollout for the middle episodes of each show's respective season can be frustrating for fans, especially when there's a multi-week wait for an episode followed by yet another break. Thankfully, this won't be the case in May.

Chicago Pd is only a few episodes away from its season 12 finale. There's a lot riding on the finale, which will not only aim to resolve the Iu's conflict with Chief Deputy Charlie Reid (Shawn Hatosy), but give us the Burgess (Marina Squerciati) and Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) wedding we've been waiting years for.
There's been a lot said and teased about the finale, but the fact that Chicago Pd has yet to be renewed for another season by NBC has us a bit concerned. We're in the home stretch, and it would be helpful to know whether we're saying goodbye to the characters or simply taking a break from them before picking the story back up during the 2025-26 season.

Chicago Pd has alternated, sometimes inconsistently, between its veteran characters and its new characters in season 12. There are pros and cons to both sides, but the last two episodes have done a surprisingly effective job at getting us reinvested in junior officers Kiana Cook (Toya Turner) and Dante Torres (Benjamin Levy Aguilar).
It's been a bit since they have gotten a chance to take center stage, and delve into their complicated relationship. Cook and Torres worked closely in the episode "Name Image Likeness," and the actress who plays the former, Toya Turner spoke with TV Line about the future of their partnership within the Iu. To the surprise of absolutely no one, it's going to be complicated.

Wearing blue, and being known as one of Chicago's finest, is a job that brings with it constant danger on a day-to-day basis for the men and women of Chicago P.D. For those who serve in Intelligence under the guidance of Sergeant Hank Voight (Jason Beghe), their danger levels are higher than the average officer on the street. And those levels are about to spike in Season 12, Episode 18, "Black Ice," as the team tackles a sinister case. "Ruzek witnesses a tragic accident on an icy bridge, leading Intelligence into a dark, sinister case involving sex trafficking," reads the official logline for the episode, which airs Wednesday, May 7 on NBC.

Chicago Pd has been on NBC for over a decade, so there are bound to be some repeat stories. There is only so many ways that criminals can break the law, and so many ways the Iu can go bring them to justice. Based on the promo for season 12, Chicago Pd will be going back to the well when it comes to Ci's or Confidential Informants.
We already saw how things went when Dante Torres (Benjamin Levy Aguilar) dabbled in the world of utilizing moles for undercover information. The young officer struck up an affair with the Ci in season 11 and nearly lost his job in the season 12 episode "Penance." The affair also led to the death of the Ci in question, Gloria Perez (Yara Martinez).

Chicago Pd has been building towards two separate conclusions in season 12. The first is positive: the wedding of Adam Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) and Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati). The second? The end of the conflict between Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) and Chief Deputy Charlie Reid (Shawn Hatosy).
As we've noted several times on this site, Chicago Pd has leaned much further into the second story arc than it has the first. Much to the chagrin of Burzek fans. There is good news, however, and it has to do with the titles of the upcoming two-part finale. Season 12 will come to a close on May 21 with the episode "Vows," seemingly confirming the fact that we will be getting a big Burzek wedding.

“We Don’t Agree”: ‘Chicago P.D.’ Star Teases Cook’s Intelligence Conflict in Her First First Ci Case
One element that sets NBC procedural Chicago P.D. apart from its One Chicago counterparts is its more character-centric approach, where each episode focuses more on an individual character of the Intelligence Unit. Early in Season 12, the show introduced a new character, Patrol Officer Kiana Cook (Toya Turner), who was soon promoted to the undermanned Intelligence Unit. While the show has gradually developed her character, some viewers have found the pace a bit too slow, eager to see more of Cook’s backstory and personal journey explored in depth. Thankfully, the next episode, "Name Image Likeness," puts Cook in the forefront as she works her first case involving a confidential informant, and actress Toya Turner, who plays the character, has previewed a bit of what to expect from episode 19.

Could we be seeing more cast departures on the One Chicago shows and why? Negotiations for new seasons continue to happen at NBC.
One Chicago fans have so many things to love about the series and the best is the large ensemble casts. Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, and Chicago Pd all boast a bevy of great actors who will get the spotlight at times while also filling out a great drama.
Obviously, there have been a lot of cast departures over the years for all three shows. Still, fans were thrown by word that both Daniel Kyri (Darren Ritter) and Jake Lockett (Sam Carver) will not be returning to Chicago Fire when season 14 airs next year.
On top of that, Chicago Fire season 13 episode 18 (Spoiler alert) had Jack Damon (Michael Bradway) badly injured in a fire and the hint that his career may be over. There’s still a chance the character stays on,...

Chicago Pd has given us plenty of interesting cases in season 12. We've gotten individual episodes that have highlighted the strengths of Kevin Atwater (Laroyce Hawkins) and Dante Torres (Benjamin Levy Aguilar), and an overarching foe in the form of Charlie Reid (Shawn Hatosy), but there is a story arc that fans have been desperately wanting more from.
Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) has never had a love interest on Chicago Pd, and Assistant District Attorney Nina Chapman (Sara Bues) may have finally broken through. The latter voiced her feelings for the veteran police officer in season 12, and the two have clearly shown that they care for one another. The thing is, very little has happened since this Chapman declaration. And we're almost finished with the season.

One Chicago has not wavered. While other franchises like FBI have slipped in the ratings department, the triumvirate of NBC shows have continued to draw excellent numbers. TV Line recently released a list of the 25 most-watched non-sports programs in 2025, and we are pleased to report that two of our beloved One Chicago titles made the top 10.
Chicago Fire, the show that started it all, continues to draw the best ratings in the franchise. The firefighting drama pulled in a whopping 7.87 million viewers in the hallowed 18-49 demographic. Good enough for seventh place on the top 25 list. Chicago Fire is a bit down from last season, but numbers like an encouraging sign as we wait on renewal news.

One Chicago is slowly chipping at its trio of 2024-25 seasons. The franchise has dished out some truly memorable episodes this year, and the promos for the upcoming episodes assure us that there is plenty more to come. Unfortunately, it won't be coming the week of April 6-12.
Chicago Med, Chicago Fire and Chicago Pd will not be airing new episodes on Wednesday, April 9. Instead, NBC will be airing reruns of the fifth episode in each of the show's current seasons. It'll yet another instance of the franchise returning from a lengthy hiatus, only to take more time off once it gets its groove back.

We just dropped a piece detailing a perceived shortcoming of Chicago Pd's current season. The show has not done the best job of balancing the personal happenings of its characters with the cases they navigate on a weekly basis. Well, we're here to say that the upcoming episode looks as though it will address this.
"Transference" looks to be the most exciting Kevin Atwater (Laroyce Hawkins) episode in ages. The character has had a few moments to shine in season 12, but the upcoming episode will ratchet up the tension courtesy of the character's burgeoning romance with Val Soto (Natalee Linez).
Atwater's girlfriend Soto is in danger
The promo for the episode reveals that Soto is the target of a stalker. Said stalker has even taken photos of her and Atwater together, which we see during the promo's opening moments. "He has photos of you," Atwater explained. "He's been talking you for a while.

Chicago P.D. circles back to Kevin Atwater (Laroyce Hawkins) and his new girlfriend, Val Soto (Natalie Linez), and there are some serious problems. "The search for the suspect in a shooting uncovers a surprising personal connection to Atwater and Val, raising questions about their relationship status," reads the official logline for Chicago P.D. Season 12, Episode 17, "Transference." Val has been a good addition to Atwater's life, but she had a life before she met him. In that life, she was also a great addition to others at a varying degree. One such person took it too far, and now he's back. NBC released a sneak peek of the April 2 episode, previewing the trouble coming for Val and Atwater when a past client surfaces with selfish intentions.

"Seen and Unseen" ended on a high note. The Chicago Pd episode wrapped up Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati) deciding to focus on what matters most, which is her romance to her fiance, Adam Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger), and the two of them decide to get a hotel for the weekend. They get a sitter for Makayla (Ramona Edith Williams), don't worry.
It was nice to see, but it was too little too late for an episode that repeated the mistakes of so many other season 12 entries. "Seen and Unseen" largely focused on Burgess working a case at a diner she frequents. It was entertaining enough, and gave Marina Squerciati a chance to flex her acting ability, but it bypassed all the emotional connections and relationships that fans have been wanting to see.
