After some cryptic quick cuts and a drawn out conversation with the demonic presence that had recently abandoned The Hood, it was soon revealed that Riri (Dominique Thorne) had accepted Mephisto's offer and asked for her friend Natalie to come back to the land of the living. For someone as smart as Riri, it sure did feel like a dumb decision to make, and it's one that will absolutely come with repercussions whenever we're reunited with Ironheart in the future.

As Chicago Pd gears up to begin production on its new season next month, it seems Wolf Entertainment and NBC wanted to make sure one key member of the cast was locked in for the new season well in advance!

Deadline has confirmed that Jason Beghe will be back for season 13, guaranteeing Hank Voight will not be going anywhere. Beghe is still under a multi-year deal, with it seeming that NBC simply opted to pick up his option for the 2025-26 season.

Speaking to Deadline, Squerciati was asked about the future of Jack Coleman's Disco Bob Burzek, father to Patrick John Flueger's Officer Adam Ruzek, who was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer's on the hit procedural series. "I love Jack. We went out to dinner recently. As an actor, you’re always like, 'Can I be in the show still? What’s going on?'... I actually don't know to what extent [Jack will be in next season]." Chicago Pd has given us plenty of interesting cases in season 12. We just dropped a piece detailing a perceived shortcoming of Chicago Pd's current season. The show has not done the best job of balancing the personal happenings of its characters with the cases they navigate on a weekly basis. Well, we're here to say that the upcoming episode looks as though it will address this.

"Transference" looks to be the most exciting Kevin Atwater (Laroyce Hawkins) episode in ages. The character has had a few moments to shine in season 12, but the upcoming episode will ratchet up the tension courtesy of the character's burgeoning romance with Val Soto (Natalee Linez).

The promo for the episode reveals that Soto is the target of a stalker. Said stalker has even taken photos of her and Atwater together, which we see during the promo's opening moments. "He has photos of you," Atwater explained. "He's been talking you for a while.

Chicago P.D. circles back to Kevin Atwater (Laroyce Hawkins) and his new girlfriend, Val Soto (Natalie Linez), and there are some serious problems. "The search for the suspect in a shooting uncovers a surprising personal connection to Atwater and Val, raising questions about their relationship status," reads the official logline for Chicago P.D. Season 12, Episode 17, "Transference." Val has been a good addition to Atwater's life, but she had a life before she met him. In that life, she was also a great addition to others at a varying degree. One such person took it too far, and now he's back. NBC released a sneak peek of the April 2 episode, previewing the trouble coming for Val and Atwater when a past client surfaces with selfish intentions.

"Seen and Unseen" ended on a high note. The Chicago Pd episode wrapped up Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati) deciding to focus on what matters most, which is her romance to her fiance, Adam Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger), and the two of them decide to get a hotel for the weekend. They get a sitter for Makayla (Ramona Edith Williams), don't worry.

It was nice to see, but it was too little too late for an episode that repeated the mistakes of so many other season 12 entries. "Seen and Unseen" largely focused on Burgess working a case at a diner she frequents. It was entertaining enough, and gave Marina Squerciati a chance to flex her acting ability, but it bypassed all the emotional connections and relationships that fans have been wanting to see.
