Image
If something has already been established and accepted, what’s the point of stating it again and again? Doesn’t that sound like the everyday discourse among Attack on Titan fans? From the planning to the execution, Hajime Isayama had a solid grip on the story of Attack on Titan. It reflects on how seamlessly the narrative flows and how the most insignificant events turn into huge storylines later on.

So, there’s no doubt that Attack on Titan is extremely well-written and one of the greatest works of fiction. However, is there a need to state it every day, or find ways to mention it in every conversation? An Aot fan’s answer to that would be a yes, or at least that’s what the popular perception of the fandom says. That is simply because there’s no other way to explain this Reddit post.

An accurate representation...

The Message Behind Eren’s Doomed Fate Is Exactly Why Hajime Isayama Couldn’t Give Attack on Titan a Happy Ending
Image
Hajime Isayama’s Attack on Titan is more than just a tale of war, betrayal, and colossal battles. The controversial ending, where Eren Yeager sacrifices himself while leaving his friends to live long, peaceful lives, is perhaps one of the most complicated aspects of the story. It’s an ending that leaves viewers and readers divided, but it is also the one that perfectly depicts the philosophy of the series.

At first glance, Eren’s fate seems tragic and unfair. However, his doomed destiny is exactly what gives the series its proper thematic weight; challenging conventional storytelling norms that often offer neatly wrapped conclusions. It forces us to confront the harsh realities of existence, the cyclical nature of suffering, and the fleeting glimpses of hope that make our lives worth living.

Nobody expected the aspirational young boy to become the harbinger of doom. Eren’s character underwent a massive change, skyrocketing his popularity among fans. Even though Eren was in the wrong for many, others still debated about the intricacies of his thought process. Three Promises Review: A Study in Survival and Resilience
Image
Three Promises takes us inside the day-to-day experience of a Palestinian family living through the tumult of the Second Intifada. Directed by Yousef Srouji, it draws from home videos recorded by his mother Suha two decades earlier. Between 2000 and 2001, as violence and uncertainty became normalized aspects of life in the occupied West Bank, Suha’s camera captured quiet moments of togetherness alongside the tensions that gradually widened fault lines within the family.

The film spans roughly a year, with Yousef and his sister Dima still young children alongside parents Suha and Ramzi. Bombings by Israeli forces had inflamed the Second Intifada uprising in response. Seeking shelter, the family often gathered fearfully in their basement during attacks. Each brush with danger led Suha to promise God that if they survived, they would leave Palestine behind. Yet her deep connection to her homeland proved stronger each time, and the family remained.

Through piecing together Suha’s footage,...

Anime Review: Attack on Titan Final Season The Final Chapters (2023) by Yuichiro Hayashi
Image
After what seemed forever regarding the last part of the series, one of the foremost epics in the world of anime, “Attack on Titan” concluded its “trip”, which actually started back in 2013, in a way that is both impressive and somewhat disappointing. Let us take things from the beginning though.

After the last season brought the whole story into perspective, and particularly the fact that the events of the present are parts of a millennium long history, the set is prepared for an all out battle involving every character that has survived so far. As such, the Rumbling, directed by Eren, aims at destroying all humanity outside the Paradise Island, with the Colossal Titans killing countless people, including Ramzi and his brother and Grisha's parents, and destroying civilizations all over the world. Meanwhile, the ship carrying the scouts and warriors arrive at Odiha.

Review: Attack on Titan's Return is the New Milestone All Anime Aspire To
Image
The absolute pinnacle of a medium is a hard point to hit, but, in a tour-de-force of anime storytelling, Attack on Titan has returned in simply marvelous fashion, dispelling all concerns of fans and critics alike. Coming back from a 10-month hiatus to set off “The Final Chapters” of the long-running epic, Attack on Titan managed to achieve something few anime installments, or in fact any television program in general, has ever achieved: a perfect hour.

Set amidst the candy-colored skies of a world infested with giant cannibalistic monsters who crush anything in their path, “The Final Chapters (Part 1)” started off strong, with an absolutely harrowing account of The Rumbling as millions of Colossal Titans swept through the human civilization of Marley in a wave of desolation. Not content to rest upon that breathtakingly rendered scene, the real dramatic thrust of the episode is the surviving members of the 104th...

Attack On Titan's Final Season Special Shows How Terrifying The Rumbling Is
Image
Warning: Spoilers for Attack on Titan - The Final Chapters Special 1Attack on Titan - The Final Season debuted with a one-hour-long episode that aired on March 3, 2023. The official name of the Attack on Titan episode that aired on March 3 is The Final Chapters: Special 1. The story does not focus immediately on the main characters, choosing instead of zooming in on two young refugees, Ramzi and Halil, who live in the nation of Marley. Like many people in that country, they face terrible hardships as a discriminated minority, but all of that vanishes when the Wall Titans awakened by Eren approach.

Does The Rumbling Prove That Eren Is Still Attack on Titan’s Hero?
Image
Note: This author has not read the Attack on Titan manga ending upon which the Attack on Titan anime ending will likely be based. The following article presents an educated theory on how the anime could end and not a certainty based on the manga.

“We took advantage of hate, instilled and fostered it, believing it would bring us salvation…As a result, that monster was born and now it’s marching our hatred right back toward us.”

It’s been a long wait for Attack on Titan fans since Eren’s bold condemnation of humanity resulted in his Rumbling reckoning where a horde of Colossal Titans were unleashed to trample the Earth. “The Final Chapters (Part One)” doesn’t shy away from the sheer destruction of Eren’s decision and the first 11 minutes of “Chapter 1- The Rumbling” is the most disturbing that Attack on Titan has ever been.

Eren will also reflect on his past actions before forging a new plan for the future, which will certainly require his distinct personality type to make the most moral decision possible.

Until fans learn when Attack on Titan will return to TV screens, now is an opportune time to break down the main characters' personalities as defined by the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (Mbt) and learn who viewers identify with the most.

Eren Yeager - Isfp

Although chief protagonist Eren Yeager is a walking contradiction, at heart, he is a courageous adventurer who always longed to see beyond the Walls and join the Scout Regiment and experience a more exhilarating calling.
