Spider-Man is in safe hands with Marvel Studios but, in an effort to differentiate this web-slinger from those played by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, some much-loved aspects of the character haven't really found their way into the MCU.
We've seen Tom Holland's Peter Parker protect Queens, battle Mysterio in London, and team up with his Variants at the Statue of Liberty. However, it wasn't until Spider-Man: No Way Home that fans got a "final swing" through Manhattan...and even that was shorter than most would like.
Chances are Spider-Man 4 will change things, but in the season finale of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man (you can read a full breakdown of all the biggest moments and spoilers here), we get a truly spectacular final swing.
In fact, this is arguably better than anything we've seen in the MCU to date and Marvel Studios might want to take its cues...

A new trailer for "Thunderbolts*" dropped during the Super Bowl, and the few hints it gave about the new villain was enough to stir a little controversy among some Marvel fans. Fans already knew that Lewis Pullman would be playing Robert Reynolds, Aka Sentry, but they didn't know until now just how accurate his portrayal would be to his comic counterpart.
In the comics, the character becomes especially dangerous when his alternate persona, the Void, takes over. As /Film's Devin Meenan explained in his piece about the Sentry, the Void is not only pure evil but he's borderline unstoppable. The Super Bowl trailer shows that movie Void will be the same; we see him flying around and turning a random civilian into ash, which sure seems like the action of a baddie far too powerful for our heroes to handle.
"Sentry is gonna be a Lethal Threat. The team genuinely...

After a relatively quiet year at the MCU, the cinematic giant is gearing up to introduce the Fantastic Four in a rather exciting setting. Considering that Marvel flicks have been often criticized for their lack of visual experimentation, Matt Shakman’s The Fantastic Four: First Steps has left fans enticed following its retro-futuristic visual style.

Although the Fantastic Four IP has had a rough streak on the silver screen, the trailer, especially one shot of Joseph Quinn’s Human Torch, has fans convinced that this adaptation will be their big break in live-action.

The Creature Commandos finale is utterly heartbreaking - you can read our full recap here - but there is a post-credits scene and it brings some levity to an otherwise very intense 28 minutes of television.
Earlier in the episode, titled "A Very Funny Monster," Eric Frankenstein attempts to reunite with The Bride so he can share Rick Flag Sr.'s message about the Princess. Before he can utter more than a few words, she guns him down and spits on his remains.
However, in a post-credits scene, it's revealed that Eric managed to survive his wounds. In fact, he's shacked up with another gypsy woman - seemingly the one who spied on The Bride in the two-part series premiere - and is heavily bandaged.
Eric is still obsessed with the love of his life and argues that the way she attacked him is surely just another indication that The Bride feels the same way.

In today's season 3/series finale of What If...?, Captain Carter makes the ultimate sacrifice (a decision which has upset many fans) and Uatu's story ends with him continuing to watch over the Multiverse.
There was no post-credits scene and nothing to suggest there are now live-action plans for The Watcher. However, the show ended with a montage of Variants who we may or may not get to see on screen somewhere down the line.
One we recognised instantly: the Moon Knight/Blade mashup who will appear in the upcoming Marvel Zombies animated TV series. Are there plans for the rest? We suppose the Jubilee/Silver Surfer combination could show up in X-Men '97 season 2; however, there's been speculation on social media about What If...? being followed by an Exiles series featuring these characters.
Other highlights include a duck Variant of the Scarlet Witch, a Maestro-like Hulk, Thanos-erine, a samurai Ghost Rider,...

Creature Commandos' fifth episode, titled "The Iron Pot," opens with Professor Macpherson - who previously backed up Circe's claims about her vision of the future - flirting with a female student during a lecture.
She's acting very inappropriately and, while discussing Themyscira, reveals an intense interest in lesbians. Rick Flag Sr. and Eric Frankenstein are watching from outside and realise something isn't right. The A.R.G.U.S. agent reminds the monster that if he helps him save Princess Ilana Rostovic, he'll put in a good word with The Bride.
In flashbacks, we return to Eric and The Bride's fight as Dr. Frankenstein's house burned down around them. It's revealed that Eric made his way to a nearby lake and was later found by an old blind woman who helped him heal. He finds peace with the old gypsy woman and her dog but ultimately decides to leave so he can find his Bride.

We all once wondered if the Avengers could thrive without the iconic leaders, but What If…? Season 3 flipped that question on its head. Anthony Mackie’s Captain America redefined what it means to carry the shield. While Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. left unforgettable legacies, Mackie brought fresh energy, depth, and grit to the forefront.

The first teaser trailer for James Gunn’s “Superman” arrived in full on Thursday morning, and fans are feeling pretty hopeful about his take on the DC Universe.
In the footage, we meet David Corenswet’s Superman and Clark Kent, seeing him in action as both the superhero and the Daily Planet reporter. There are various shots of the Man of Steel saving the day, spending time with his love Lois Lane (Rachel Brosnahan), and just doing classic Superman things.
Following the release of the teaser, that footage seemed to prove one thing for fans: “James Gunn gets it.”
“James Gunn did it,” Joe Russo wrote on X. “There’s something for the Donner fans. There’s something for the Snyder fans. There’s even John William’s iconic theme. And he made it his own. Superman is So Back.”
“I truly don’t know why anyone ever doubts James Gunn.

In this week's episode of Creature Commandos, "Chasing Squirrels," we finally learn Weasel's tragic past. The Suicide Squad revealed that the seemingly mindless monster had murdered 27 children, though there's much more to the story than that.
The fourth chapter opens with Rick Flag Sr. and Princess Ilana sharing a kiss before the former is forced to say goodbye to her and return to America. Meanwhile, John Economos - who is still injured following the events of Peacemaker and even references the show's alien invasion - is dealing with a lawyer who demands to see her client, Weasel.
Task Force M returns and Weasel remembers meeting a group of kids who shared their snacks with him in a playground. Taking Weasel with them, the kids sneak into a school after finding a door unlocked.

Warning! This article contains Spoilers for DC's Creature Commandos.David Corenswet's Superman has already entered the DC Universe a few months before his movie releases in theaters, and the hero's first appearance could lead to the Justice League. I find James Gunn's Dcu plans exciting, with a healthy mix of major characters and more obscure players making up the first few projects in the franchise. This formula has also been a success for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, so I'm interested to see how it pans out as the Dcu gets rolling. That said, I am surprised that no Justice League movie has been announced so far.
Inevitably, that is where many Dcu heroes must be headed, so it was interesting to see that no Justice League movie was part of the Dcu slate of projects revealed by DC Studios in January 2023. However, DC is making up for the team's...

Wonder Woman has made her DC Universe debut in a new trailer for the franchise's first project. Gal Gadot played Wonder Woman in two solo films and a few other Dceu movies. When Wonder Woman 3 was canceled, it seemed like her future as the character was sealed, though Gadot later claimed that she would develop the third movie with DC Studios. Reports then revealed that was not true, and Wonder Woman's recasting for the Dcu has become a major topic of conversation. Shockingly, before a movie for Diana Prince has even been announced, Wonder Woman has joined the Dcu.

The third episode of Creature Commandos reveals G.I. Robot's origin story by taking us back to World War II. Joining Easy Company, he saves the day by gunning down countless Nazis much to the delight of his fellow soldiers.
Sgt. Rock and his men hail G.I. Robot as a hero and it's clear he feels accepted. However, once the war concludes, he's paraded on television and the results...well, given his desperate need to kill Nazis, let's just say he's not exactly suited to being a celebrity!
Unable to become the mascot the U.S. Army wants, G.I. Robot falls into the hands of Metal Men creator Dr. William Magnus (Alan Tudyk). He takes the former soldier apart and mentions adding some upgrades, but seems cold towards G.I. and keen to study him for other endeavours (you can probably guess what those are).

Creature Commandos will include plenty of surprise DC characters, as revealed by a new trailer. James Gunn's DC Universe has finally started with the release of the first two episodes of Creature Commandos. It seems Christopher Smith will be rocking several different looks in the second season of Peacemaker.
Last month, James Gunn posted a behind-the-scenes shot of Smith's helmet from the back. While it didn't appear to be massively different to the one Smith wore in season 1 and The Suicide Squad, it was clearly a new design.
Now, star John Cena has shared another photo to his Instagram page, and this one has a fin.
This actually looks like it might be the hilariously-named "Scabies for All" Helmet, which Smith claimed would "give everybody in a one-mile radius scabies, except, of course, the wearer of the helmet."

Spoiler Alert !!!Spoilers for the new film in theaters Joker: Folie à Deux
Todd Phillips has made probably the boldest or dumbest attempt with his latest DC film, Joker: Folie à Deux. The film has already divided the fan base, with many calling it an outright bad film. Even if we could agree to some extent that it was a bold choice, Phillips essentially failed to execute his vision properly. The result was a film that ruined Joaquin Phoenix’s Oscar legacy.

Venom: The Last Dance will see Tom Hardy reprise his Marvel role as Eddie Brock and the alien symbiote once more, when the film releases in October 2024. The trailer of the Sony-Marvel project has already created a lot of talking points, especially with relation to the character’s connection to Spider-Man and the MCU.

While it is common knowledge that Venom is part of Sony’s Spider-Man Universe, there has been a lot of debate around his presence in future MCU projects after his appearance in the post-credits scene in Spider-Man: No Way Home. While Venom 3’s trailer also dropped a major hint regarding this, some fan theories believe that this may only be a red herring. James Gunn’s Dcu’s predecessor, the DC Extended Universe, had the makings of one of the greatest superhero franchises, had it not been from some ridiculously behind-the-scenes meddling from the studio, which stifled the creative capital of the cinematic universe. However, despite the universe being cut short, there were some brilliant choices that the film made, ones that deserve another chance in the Dcu.

James Gunn has a lot planned for the DC Universe, and a significant weight of it seems to lie in his upcoming animated series, Creature Commandos. There has been a lot of conversation around this seemingly minuscule series, which also happens to be setting up some of the most significant storylines in DC’s near future.
James Gunn’s Creature Commandos
One of the most unfortunate deaths in recent years has to have been that of Joel Kinnaman’s Rick Flag. It would seem that this painful wound is being ripped open again, as Flag’s father, Rick Flag Sr., is making his way into the franchise.
While many would be excited solely based on this news, it would seem that the character is entering the universe with one goal; revenge. Could Amanda Waller help Flag Sr. kill his son’s killer?

Marvel boss Kevin Feige knows what triggers the fans and how to get them excited about the MCU movies, the latest being Deadpool 3. The producers of ABC’s “American Idol” have given up hope that the popular singing contest would be able to produce the show in a studio, given that the ongoing coronavirus pandemic doesn’t allow for large gatherings in many states. But don’t worry, “American Idol” has not been canceled.
As we previously reported, the network will air on Sunday, April 5 the final pre-taped episode that was filmed in Hawaii when the last 10 performers to make the Top-20 will be announced. “Idol” was scheduled to broadcast the usual live shows starting on April 6, but that is no longer the case. The following Sundays, April 12 and 19, will feature brand new “American Idol: This is Me” episodes that will focus on the lives of the finalists featuring unseen footage and performance highlights.

And then there were 40. Monday’s episode of American Idol wrapped Hollywood Week by revealing which singers are proceeding to the next round in Hawaii… and who is saying “aloha” to the competition for good. (“Aloha” doubles as a farewell greeting too, Ok? Trust me, I Googled it.)

The second of three episodes of “American Idol” showcasing Hollywood Week airs on March 22. Over the course of the three episodes devoted to Hollywood Week (the others aired last Sunday and this Monday) the contestants sing in three rounds: lines of 10, groups, and solos. The judges will winnow the list down to just 40 who will sing in a showcase set to air on Sunday, March 29.
Those contenders will be culled down to just half that number and that Top 20 will be judged on both solo performances and celebrity duets over the course of three episodes. Once the live playoffs of “American Idol” season 18 begin, you will be able to predict the outcome of each episode in our predictions center.

ABC airs the the third of five “American Idol” episodes devoted to the audition stage of the competition on March 1. Another 15 would-be winners of season 18 will sing for the three judges — Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie — hoping to get one of those coveted tickets to Hollywood.
Which of these will number among the 150 contestants who make it to this next stage? At the end of a week in Hollywood, only 40 moved on to the next round which saw them whisked off to Hawaii at the end of January where they auditioned for judges again, this time in front of guests staying at Disney’s Aulani Resort in Honolulu.
Only half of these Top 40 acts made the cut. In turn, the Top 20 performed twice more for the judges: first in solos and then duets with celebrities. Just 14 of them were put through to the live shows, which begin in April.

Shiba Inu Productions is currently at work on In the Shadow in Paris for director Paul Ozcan. The cast features Maximilien Poullein ( The Horde ), Jordan Jones and Emmanuelle Coutellier ( The Zero Hour ). The trio play criminology students who venture into a serial killer's former domain to gather material for their thesis. Sound like a good idea? Hell no! Naturally, their plan goes awry. Ozcan is said to have the film wrapped up and ready to be shown by the end of the year.
