"Ferry: The Series", is a Dutch-produced, drug crime thriller, set in the Netherlands, streaming November 3, 2023 on Netflix:

Here at Screen Anarchy we're big fans of directors Steffen Haars and Flip van der Kuil. The Dutch duo surprised friends and foes back in 2010 with New Kids Turbo, a cinema version of the sketch comedy troupe they were part of. The film was remarkably accomplished (see review), and excelled on a technical level. It was also a huge commercial success, thankfully paving the way for their next two films: New Kids Nitro and Bro's Before Ho's. So what have they been up to? The good news is: a new film. Following previous announcements of their film lineup, the Fantasia International Film Festival has released their full lineup of movies to be shown at the 18th Annual festival, starting July 17.
New additions to the lineup include 2014 Cannes Selection When Animals Dream, directed by Jonas Alexander Amby and the return of Fantasia’s showcase of animated films, Axis.
Tickets for the festival go on sale starting July 16, and the festival runs through August 5.

The gang's not quite all here but fans of Dutch comedy group New Kids have reason to celebrate today as the first trailer for Steffen Haars and Flip van der Kuil's latest film, Bros Before Hos, has arrived and features their compatriots Tim Haars and Huub Smit in key roles. And while they may have put away the mullets for this one it's clear that the sense of humor hasn't changed a whole lot. No subtitles here but, honestly, given the title and the creators, do you really think you'll have a hard time figuring it out? Check it out below....

Are Dutch comedy troupe The New Kids growing up? Not bloody likely, frankly, but after a run on television followed by two hugely successful feature films they're moving on to some other things. and the big one at the moment is romantic comedy Bro's Before Ho's - written and directed by Steffen Haars and Flip van der Kuil with Tim Haars and Huub Smit both in the cast. Now in production, we've got the first quartet of images from the film for your perusal in the gallery below. And while these seem to promise a bit of sweetness and light, let's not forget who we're dealing with. Hopefully a teaser will follow soon ......
