Monster High is a multimedia franchise that got off to a flying start, releasing six dolls, a novel, and a web series in 2010. The concept of fashionable high school girls who were daughters of popular monsters and creatures blew up in popularity, and over the last decade, there have been no less than 750 dolls, 60 novels, 9 video games, a new CGI animated series on Nickelodeon; and of course, 17 Monster High movies (each with a pun-based title), including a third-generation reboot featuring live-action actors.
Like several franchises, Monster High has rebooted itself a few times. As a result, there are technically a few films that could be considered origin stories. The ideal order of Monster High movies would be to watch the true prequel Welcome to Monster High, followed by the recent Monster High: The Movie, and then the web series. After this, it doesn't generally matter, as the movies are usually stand-alone stories.

Monster High 2 has become a global Netflix hit. The 2023 title is a sequel to the live-action horror-comedy musical movie about a high school for monsters, adapting the toy line of the same name. The movie originally premiered on Nickelodeon and Paramount+ and stars Miia Harris, Ceci Balagot, Nayah Damasen, The Other Two's Case Walker, and Love, Victor star Ana Ortiz. When it premiered on the platform, it didn't register on the Nielsen streaming chart and indeed was viewed less than the then 10-year-old Martin Scorsese movie The Wolf of Wall Street, which was also streaming on Paramount+.
Netflix has now calculated their global Top 10 most-watched English-language movies for the week of October 7 through October 13. Even though it is not available on the streamer in the United States, Monster High 2 landed at No. 8 on the chart with 4.1 million viewers amassing a total of 6.5 million viewing hours. The movie...

Mattel and Universal are partnering on a Monster High movie. The Monster High toy line features characters who are teenagers inspired by classic monsters. The already robust Monster High franchise could potentially support a live-action blockbuster.
Monster High will be following Barbie to the big screen. The latter title, which was a Greta Gerwig-directed live-action comedy starring Margot Robbie as the titular doll, was a worldwide phenomenon when it was released in 2023. The Barbie box office ballooned to $1.45 billion by the end of its theatrical run, breaking records and becoming the highest-grossing movie of the year. In the wake of the movie's success, other movies based on Mattel toys have either gone into pre-production or progressed further in development including Polly Pocket and Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots.
Per TheWrap, the latest Mattel toy to join these movie properties is Monster High. The characters in the toy line, which was launched in 2010, are supernatural,...

(Warning: This post contains spoilers for Monday’s episode of “Dispatches From Elsewhere.”)
The “game” that Peter (Jason Segel), Simone (Eve Lindley), Fredwynn (Andre Benjamin) and Janice (Sally Field) have been playing — along with everyone else roped into the Jejune Institute and the Elsewhere Society’s competing searches for the mysterious Clara — finally ended on Monday’s “Dispatches From Elsewhere,” with the reveal that it was, in fact, all a game. The following contains spoilers for Dispatches from Elsewhere episode 5.
Through four episodes of AMC’s trippy Dispatches from Elsewhere, our core four heroes have been tasked with an important mission. According to a helpful film reel at the Elsewhere Society, participants in this grand alternate reality game must track down Clara, the young architect of Divine Nonchalance and the key to spreading Elsewhere’s principles of beauty and whimsy throughout the world.
Problem is that Clara has been Awol and neither the Dispatchers nor the audience have actually gotten confirmation that she’s even real…until now.
