Dylan O'Brien's Oscar-Nominated Disaster Movie Now Streaming for Free
Image
Teen Wolf star Dylan O'Brien's Deepwater Horizon is now streaming on Tubi. The acclaimed 2016 biographical disaster movie, which also stars Mark Wahlberg, received two Academy Award nominations but was not financially successful.

Directed by Peter Berg from Matthew Michael Carnahan and Matthew Sand's screenplay, Deepwater Horizon adapts "Deepwater Horizon's Final Hours," David Barstow, David Rohde, and Stephanie Saul's The New York Times article, published on December 25, 2010. The movie chronicles the sad chain of events that led to the titular oil rig's massive blowout, which led to the tragic loss of lives. Dylan O'Brien plays Caleb Holloway, a member of a drilling team headed by Mike Williams (Wahlberg). Deepwater Horizon's ensemble also includes Kurt Russell, John Malkovich, Gina Rodriguez, Kate Hudson, Ethan Suplee, Brad Leland, and Jason Kirkpatrick.

Denzel Washington's 10 Most Underrated Movies
Image
Denzel Washington has had a career spanning over four decades that many actors could only dream of having. Known as one of the most versatile and energetic actors of his era, he can command the screen in a way very few can. Washington has many oscar worthy performances in his catalog. Though he is best known for his starring roles in bigger-budget films, Washington has had many films that defined his career and acting ability that have flown under the radar of some of his fans.

As one of the best actors of all time, Washington plays a key part in every film he appears in, from specialist dramas to high-octane thrillers. Roles like embodying an exasperated father in John Q or portraying a hostage negotiator in Inside Man may not get the critical acclaim of some of his other roles but are just as entertaining and essential as a step in his storied career.

Mark Wahlberg and Denzel Washington's Buddy Cop Movie Is Now on Netflix
Image
Quick Links 2 Guns Features a Fantastic Dynamic Duo Wahlberg and Washington Are a Perfectly Dynamic Pair

Over 10 years ago, veteran actors Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg joined forces for a buddy-cop comedy of explosive proportions. Part action, part comedy, Washington and Wahlberg paired together in a money-heist action film that, despite its flaws, is wholly entertaining. With two dynamic lead stars, an unlikely partnership, and a premise that takes the best of Lethal Weapon and pairs it with the intimate espionage of Mr. and Mrs. Smith, 2 Guns is an entertaining romp.

2 Guns stars Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg as a pair of criminals working together to rob a bank. Unknown to each other, both of the would-be criminals are undercover law enforcement working on separate operations to take down the leader of a drug cartel. Bobby (Washington) is a smooth-talking DEA agent who wants to convict the cartel leader for tax evasion.

‘Erzulie’ VOD Review
Image
Stars: Courtney Oliviér, Fay Smalling, Elizabeth Trieu, Haley Raines, Jason Kirkpatrick, Alexander Biglane, Leila Anastasia Scott | Written by Christine Chen, Camille Gladney | Directed by Christine Chen

Erzulie is a Haitian voodoo goddess and a protector of women and children. It’s also the title of the debut feature from director Christine Chen and her co-writer Camille Gladney which places the goddess in a Louisianna swamp with some vacationing women who are going to need some protection.

Wendy, Zoe, Violet, and Allison (Haley Raines; His Stretch of Texas Ground) are getting together for a much-needed vacation. The city has shut down Wendy’s project and fired her and Zoe is getting over an abusive relationship.

Unfortunately, this isn’t going to be the relaxing trip they planned. The river is off-limits after a gator ate a tourist. The resort owner’s son Rhett is letting a company dump toxic waste in said river.

The Hunt on hold by Jennie Kermode - 2019-08-11 07:16:34
The Most Dangerous Game first brought the subject of hunting humans to the big screen in 1932

Universal Studios announced last night that it will not be releasing satirical comedy The Hunt as planned, a decision made in light of the recent mass shootings in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio. The film had been scheduled to open in the Us on 27 September.

In a statement, Universal said that this is not the right time to release the film, implying that it may still do so at a later date. It insisted that it stands by "bold and visionary" filmmakers.

The plot of the film follows a group of people who style themselves 'the Elite' hunting down other people for reasons that apparently politically motivated. It stars Hilary Swank and Jason Kirkpatrick.

A few hours before the announcement, Donald Trump had attacked the film on Twitter, claiming that it was...

‘Walking Dead': Here’s What Exactly the Whisperers Just Did
Andrew Lincoln in The Walking Dead (2010)
(Major spoilers ahead for the March 24 episode of “The Walking Dead” on AMC)

(For real)

Fans of “The Walking Dead” by now are pretty used to the brutality of the show, with so many major characters being killed over the years. But nothing that has come before on “The Walking Dead” could fully prepare us for the emotional devastation that came at the end of this past Sunday’s episode — the next-to-last episode of season 9.

While maybe not as overtly severe as the season 7 premiere in which Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) beat Abraham and Glenn to death with his baseball bat, it certainly beat that episode in terms of quantity — this episode saw ten protagonist characters murdered and their heads placed on spikes.

In a sequence ripped nearly straight from the pages of the “Walking Dead” comics, Alpha (Samantha Morton) and her Whisperers managed to capture Daryl (Norman Reedus), Michonne...
