Gavin Clayton(I)

Ever since a young teen, Gavin has had a strong desire to make film. His first movies were derivative of stories read as young boy, with an emphasis on Science Fiction but a desire to bring original twists on the genre. Gavin started as a recording engineer at Hyde Street Studios after obtaining a certification from the Recording Workshop. After working on the sound for many films, he decided to get his BFA in cinematography from Academy of Arts University. While attending the Academy he made many of the contacts that he still assists and collaborates with to this day. After working several years as an independent contractor, traveling around the South Pacific filming surf competitions and college sporting events, he returned to the bay area to rejoin the narrative film community there. He often resides in San Francisco working on his thesis film towards his masters in Directing and hopes to teach at some point as well
