Bernice starred in PDQ Bach's half act opera "The Stoned Guest" at Avery Fisher Hall. In fact the opera was "discovered" as a result of her personal acquaintance with Professor Peter Schickele. Her photograph appears on the cover of the original cast album of the opera recorded on Vanguard Records (1970).
Was the mascot of the New York Shakespeare Festival's softball team, Papp's Pummlers, at the annual contest with the American Shakespeare Festival team at Stratford, Connecticut.
