For years, Lisa Kudrow refused to watch reruns of her hit sitcom Friends. Around the time of the Friends reunion, she gave it another try with her husband Michel Stern. “Michel and I started watching some of Season Four, which I thought I had watched, it’s as if I didn’t,” she said. “He enjoys them more than I do because I’m mortified with myself.”

But now she’s finally settling in for a rewatch, she told The Hollywood Reporter, and it’s because she wants to reconnect with her old friend Matthew Perry. “Honestly, I wasn’t able to watch it because it’s too embarrassing to watch yourself. But if I make it about Matthew, then that’s okay,” Kudrow explained. “And it’s just celebrating how hilarious he was — and that is what I want to remember (about him).”

For years after Friends, Lisa Kudrow has admitted she could not bring herself to watch reruns of the beloved NBC sitcom, explaining she didn’t want to risk not liking her work on the show. But in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter to promote her upcoming Apple TV+ series Time Bandits, Kudrow — who became a household name in the mid-’90s as the endearing and idiosyncratic Phoebe Buffay — says that she has begun to revisit old Friends episodes, in large part to keep the memory of her late co-star Matthew Perry alive.

Actress Lisa Kudrow, who gained global fame playing Phoebe Buffay in the popular sitcom Friends, says it has been great playing a dumb person because people talk much more freely when they assume you don't understand them.

"It's been great playing a dumb person because people talk much more freely when they assume you don't understand them. It's like driving kids to school - hey think you're just the back of a head so they say everything, not knowing that you're listening to every word," Lisa said, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

"It's the same when people think you're dumb. I've learned a lot," added Lisa, now 57 and mother of a 22-year-old son, Julian, whom she has with husband Michel Stern.

She admits she has still not seen some of the episodes.

"There are some episodes I've never seen. And I'm not the only one in the cast for which this is true.

During a Monday appearance on Bethenny, the former Friends star shared that her 14-year-old son isn’t looking for his parents to expand their tight-knit trio — not now, not ever!

“He doesn’t want siblings. Since he could talk he’d say, ‘No, no I don’t want a sister or a brother,’” the actress, 48, recalls. “Someone would get pregnant and he’d say, ‘But you’re not, right?’”

Former Friends star Lisa Kudrow has credited her husband with keeping their marriage strong - because he never feels jealous when he sees her kissing co-stars.

The 46 year old married French advertising executive Michel Stern in 1995 and their relationship is still on track 14 years later.

Kudrow admits it must be hard for her husband to see her getting close to her leading men on-screen and praises his continuing trust for keeping them together.

She tells Parade magazine, "He knows that there's no danger of me falling for someone on a whim. We've talked about that a lot. I don't get crushes that easily.
