A California gunman who went on a rampage near a Santa Barbara university stabbed three people to death at his apartment before shooting to death three more in a terrorizing crime spree through a neighborhood, sheriff's officials said Saturday. The three people in the apartment were among the six left dead Friday night during the shootings near the campus of the University of California, Santa Barbara. How many dance movies are there going to be before its target audience yawns itself into a coma? Honey 2 is the sequel (of sorts, although it has very little to do with its predecessor) to 2003’s Jessica Alba Dance ‘em up Honey.

If only it was a sequel to Bee Movie. Sadly this is yet another urban dance movie, a genre whose traditions are as rigid and unvarying as the state opening of parliament. They are so programmatic that the whole concept of the sequel is fallacious. They are all sequels, and this one runs on lines that are familiar, to say the least. It allegedly follows on from one particular dance movie, Honey, from 2004, in which Jessica Alba starred as Honey Daniels, a dancer and street-smart survivor who fought her way to the top and established a hip-hop school in New York.
