When a disturbed young man breaks into the house of a wealthy older gentleman an enlightening conversation takes place and their shared history in uncovered. Actor-turned-filmmaker Erik Odom’s directorial debut Box on the Hill is a compelling piece of horror drama about the consequences of repressed shame. Starring in the film alongside Brian Foyster, Odom brings a tense frailty to his unsettled protagonist whose relationship with Foyster’s character is realised and excavated across a nail-biting conversation between the pair which is shot with a compelling, subtle and deliberate precision. With the short now available to watch online, Dn joined Odom for a comprehensive discussion about his ambitions as a filmmaker, the value he found as an actor/director in setting aside time for rehearsal, and his plans to extend the themes of Box on the Hill into his debut feature.

Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson Breaking Dawn Part 2 to become Brazil’s top-selling movie in 2012? Starring Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner, Breaking Dawn Part 2 is a major blockbuster worldwide, having grossed more than $600m in less than two weeks. Now, relatively speaking, among the world’s top film markets no country has embraced the Twilight movie franchise’s final installment as ardently as Brazil. (Photo: Breaking Dawn Part 2 Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson.) Breaking Dawn Part 2 has already shattered Brazilian single-day and opening-weekend box-office records — in ticket sales. In other words, inflation and 3D/IMAX surcharges don’t play a role here. In Us dollars, Brazil — with $33.61m — is currently Breaking Dawn Part 2‘s third biggest international market, trailing only the United Kingdom ($43.25m) and Russia / Cis ($36.27m). By the end of its opening weekend, Breaking Dawn Part 2 was already the seventh highest-grossing 2012 release at the Brazilian box office.

This week, we'll be giving a big farewell to "The Twilight Saga" with the release of "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2" on Friday.
Judging by the clips and trailers we've seen so far, we can expect to see some serious vampire Bella (Kristen Stewart) action and get to catch up with the one and only Cullen coven. But, with a ton of other bloodlovers coming into the fold for the final film, Twi-hards should probably also brace for some new faces.
To help remind you who's who among the new coven vampires in "Breaking Dawn - Part 2," we put together this handy dandy little refresher guide.

Sure, the Denalis were introduced as wedding guests in "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1," but these Alaskan vegetarian vamps have a much bigger stand in "Part 2." They're super-tight with the Cullens — even considering themselves faux cousins...

On the Road movie reedited for Toronto screening Based on Jack Kerouac's '50s novel, Walter Salles' Otr adaptation starring Garrett Hedlund, Sam Riley, and Kristen Stewart (above photo) will be screened at the upcoming Toronto Film Festival. We all knew that. What we didn't know is that Tiff 2012 will unveil a new cut of the film (via indieWIRE), which premiered last spring at the Cannes Film Festival to mixed reviews. The 2hr20m drama has been downsized to approximately 125 minutes. That's an interesting development, as Otr has already been screened in several countries, with varying degrees of box-office success. [Check out the On the Road trailer. Check out Kristen Stewart On the Road poster; Garrett Hedlund On the Road poster.] Otr movie reedit hardly unique On the other hand, different cuts shown in different countries is hardly something new. Summit Entertainment launched Comic Con's Hall H program with the panel for "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2", the much anticipated final chapter in Stephenie Meyer's "Twilight" series.
The big surprise was the screening of the first seven minutes of the film. Said sequence showcased the vampire Bella exploring her now heightened senses, being taken over by bloodlust, and (in a clip later in the presentation) being taught how to act human.
We see Bella hunting, being distracted and racing up a sheer vertical rock face after she smells a cut on a mountain climber's knee. There's also a scene with Jacob where she admits she can now sense his werewolf stink.
The footage was solid - fitting in with the previous films, it also showed a lighter sense of humour and fun - something often missing from this sometimes too stolid franchise.
While director Bill Condon is currently...

Breaking Dawn Part 2 poster: Taylor Lautner as Jacob Black Taylor Lautner returns as the shapeshifter / werewolf Jacob Black in one of three The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 character posters released earlier today. The other two Breaking Dawn Part 2 posters star red-eyed newborn vampire Kristen Stewart and golden-eyed centenarian vampire Robert Pattinson. Since vampires are immortal, all three posters feature the tagline "Forever." Now, I don’t think werewolves live forever. Jacob’s poster should read "For now," especially considering how his affections shift from Bella to another key character in Breaking Dawn Part 2. Directed by Kinsey / Dreamgirls‘ Bill Condon from a screenplay by Melissa Rosenberg (based on Stephenie Meyer’s novel), Breaking Dawn 2 is the final installment in the Twilight Saga film series. [Check out the Breaking Dawn 2 teaser poster.] In Breaking Dawn Part 2, Edward Cullen and his newborn-vampire wife Bella Swan-Cullen (Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart) must stand their ground against the ancient Volturi Clan (Michael Sheen,...

Breaking Dawn Part 2 poster: Robert Pattinson / vampire Edward Cullen Robert Pattinson is back as the golden-eyed vampire Edward Cullen in one of three The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 character posters released earlier today. The other two Breaking Dawn Part 2 posters feature Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner. Since vampires are immortal, all three have the tagline "Forever." (Though I’m not sure that would apply to werewolf Jacob Black.) [Check out Kristen Stewart BD2 poster.] Directed by Kinsey / Dreamgirls‘ Bill Condon from a screenplay by Melissa Rosenberg (based on Stephenie Meyer’s bestseller), Breaking Dawn 2 is the final installment in the Twilight Saga movie franchise. [Check out the Breaking Dawn 2 teaser poster.] In Breaking Dawn 2, Edward Cullen and his newborn-vampire wife Bella Swan-Cullen (Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart) must face off against the Volturi Clan (Michael Sheen, Dakota Fanning, Jamie Campbell Bower, and others) in order to protect their hybrid baby Renesmee (part Mackenzie Foy, part cgi). Though harmless, Renesmee is perceived to be a dangerous baby vampire.

Kristen Stewart / Bella Swan vampire, Breaking Dawn Part 2 poster Kristen Stewart is seen above as the red-eyed, newborn vampire Bella Swan-Cullen in one of three The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 character posters released earlier today. The movie opens November 16. Kristen Stewart tumbled? Life imitates art once again. At the end of Twilight, Bella Swan goes to the prom wearing a cast. In order to dance, she must climb on top of Edward Cullen’s feet, so he can sway to the music for both of them. Well, it turns out that Bella herself, Kristen Stewart, has hurt her foot while working on The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 reshoots, or "pickup shots" or "additional shots" or whatever you want to call them. On Friday, Stewart told The Tonight Show’s Jay Leno that the additional work on Breaking Dawn 2, which took place in Vancouver this past week, was mostly focused on the hunting sequences in the beginning of the film. Bella’s hunting scenes to be exact. (Please scroll down to watch the Kristen Stewart / Jay Leno video.) Remember, Bella was transformed into a vampire at the end of...

Robert Pattinson: Breaking Dawn 2 "reshoots" Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Michael Sheen are back in Vancouver for the Breaking Dawn – Part 2 "reshoots" — or rather, "pickup shots." A couple of weeks ago, Breaking Dawn director Bill Condon announced that he, Pattinson, Stewart, and cinematographer Guillermo Navarro would be heading back to Vancouver to work for a few days on a handful of shots. (Inevitably, there are already Twitter stories claiming that Pattinson’s bodyguard assaulted a couple of people upon Pattinson’s arrival.) Bill Condon’s companion, Jack Morrissey, later explained that Condon had not been responsible for the missing (or mismatched) footage, placing the blame on Breaking Dawn 2’s second-unit crew. "The coming additional photography is stuff that was conceived, developed, and was to be executed by the second unit during the period of principal photography," Morrissey told his podcast listeners. "For various reasons, it was not executed by the second unit … So,...

Taylor Lautner, Breaking Dawn 2 Taylor Lautner’s Jacob Black — not shirtless, sorry — gives you The (Were)Wolf Look in this The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 photo released earlier today. Another just-released Breaking Dawn 2 image shows Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson’s Edward Cullen and Bella Swan-Cullen wearing vampire contacts while looking into the distance. In Catherine Hardwicke’s Twilight, Lautner had a minor supporting role as a teenager infatuated with Bella Swan (then still a human). He became a full-fledged leading man in Chris Weitz’s The Twilight Saga: New Moon and David Slade’s The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, in which he and Pattinson’s vampire fight for Bella’s hand, body, love, and life. (It’s really all that.) In Breaking Dawn 2, things are different because Bella is no longer human. As a vampire, she’s out of Jacob’s reach; but then again, he seems to have lost interest.
