Purani Jeans is an upcoming drama which has been directed by Tanushri Chattrji Bassu. The makers of Purani Jeans have released the friendship anthem of the season, the song ‘Yaari Yaari’, exclusively on Eros Now. The song has been composed and sung by the talented and versatile musician Ram Sampath and lyrics have been penned by Ashish Pandit.

The song ‘Yaari Yaari’ revolves around the wonderful memories and the strong bond of friendship shared by the characters in the film. It depicts their closeness, the fun and the promises they made together. It is an uplifting track, which reminds of old friendships and lost friends.

Speaking about the song ‘Yaari Yaari’, Music Director Ram Sampath said, “I am delighted with the way the song has turned out. It is a fresh soundtrack with peppy beats and will make the listener want to relive all his happy school memories.”

Directed by award-winning ad filmmaker Tanushri Chattrji Bassu, Purani Jeans captures the nostalgic days of youth, which were all about friends, memories and that old snug, comfortable pair of jeans. Tanuj Virwani plays the role of Siddharth, who lives in New York City and decides to touch base with the friends who matter. Prabhu Deva is back in the game with his second release of the year, R Rajkumar, which teams him with Shahid Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha, and his much sought after music director Pritam. Expectations ride high in the music department of every film where Emraan Hashmi plays the lead. But the music of his upcoming movie "Rush" fails to strike a chord.

The album brings together four lyricists who have penned six original tracks and composer Pritam.

Rush is an upcoming film which will see Emraan Hashmi, Neha Dhupia, Sagarika Ghatge and Aditya Pancholi in the leading roles. It is a thriller based on a news reporter who is dragged into a world of violence and dangers after accepting an assignment from a big media tycoon. Directed by the late Shamin Desai, the film is scheduled to release in cinemas on 24 October 2012.

The music has been composed by Pritam Chakraborty. He has recently given us some memorable soundtracks which include Cocktail (2012) and Barfi! (2012). The lyrics to the songs have mostly been written by Kumaar, with Ashish Pandit, Sayeed Quadri and Hard Kaur appearing as guest lyricists.

The first track in the album is Chup Chup Ke. There are two versions of this song, with the music remaining unaltered. The first version has the great Ash King headlining the song, whilst the second version is headlined by the very talented Shaan.
