A supernatural horror drama series, the American Horror Stories TV show is a spin-off of the long-running American Horror Story anthology series which was created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk. The upcoming trailer for Season 3 of American Horror Stories offers a tantalizing glimpse into a fresh collection of chilling horror stories set to debut just in time for Halloween, scheduled for release on October 26. In what is teased as a Huluween Event, the four-episode special is a spinoff from the creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, known for their work on American Horror Story. American Horror Stories is an anthology series, each episode bringing forth a distinct horror episode. FX is bringing their spinoff series “American Horror Stories” back this month with a special four episode Halloween party, and the full official trailer has been unleashed today.

FX previews, “Dark, twisted tales are coming with a four-episode Huluween event from FX’s American Horror Stories. Premiering Thursday, October 26. Exclusively on Hulu.”

The episodes are titled “Daphne,” “Tapeworm,” “Organ” and “Bestie,” and you can preview all four brand new “freakish tales” by watching the official trailer down below.

The 80th Venice Film Festival is shaping up to be a star-studded affair, with Michael Mann, Roman Polanski, Woody Allen, and David Fincher all set to premiere their latest films at the festival.

Ryan Murphy’s spinoff “American Horror Stories” is coming back for Season 3, and Deadline reports this week that Lisa Rinna (“Real Housewives”) will appear in the new season.

Rinna will star in an episode of Season 3 titled “Tapeworm,” Deadline reports.

The site also notes, “Rinna has concluded most of the filming and is back in LA.”

FX promised a “season like no other” with American Horror Story: NYC, and it certainly has been. But does that also mean it won’t be connected to any of the previous 10 AHS installments?

Longtime fans certainly hope that isn’t the case, so when the silhouette of a winged woman appeared in the preview for Week 3 (Episodes 5 and 6), they allowed themselves to get excited. After all, who else could it be if not Frances Conroy as Shachath (aka the Angel of Death), last seen way back in American Horror Story: Asylum?

Billie Lourd, meanwhile, continues her recent run on the show, playing Dr. Hannah Wells, after having appeared in the previous four seasons.

We’re less than a week away from the October 19 premiere of “American Horror Story” Season 11 and FX has released another spooky video teaser. The world is a superficial place and it’s hard to not get caught up in physical appearances. It’s no surprise that a wealth of horror films and social satires focus on plastic surgery, the cosmetics industry, and the pursuit of “perfection.” Crimes of the Future, The Neon Demon, or a myriad of Tales From the Crypt episodes like “Beauty Rest,” “Only Skin Deep,” or “Judy, You’re Not Yourself Today” all attack the subject matter from uniquely creepy perspectives. In fact, “Facelift” is one of the episodes of American Horror Stories that most closely resembles a Tales From the Crypt installment, which is high praise for a series that occasionally feels like it’s phoning it in.

The limited series “Halston” premiered on May 14 of this year, but the period drama about the fashion icon of the same name was more than two decades in the making. Series director Daniel Minahan first read a biography of the famed designer in 1996 and felt that it needed a film treatment. After multiple failed attempts to bring the project to fruition, he teamed with Killer Films co-founder Christine Vachon and superstar producer Ryan Murphy and the series found a home on Netflix.

“Halston” stars Ewan McGregor in the title role. The Iowa- born Halston first came to prominence designing high-end hats for women. After one of his hats is worn by Jackie Kennedy, Halston becomes a giant in the fashion industry, creating everything from designer gowns, to luggage and even perfume. The series is set against the backdrop of the New York party scene of the 1970s, replete with cocaine-fueled...

It took some 20 years for Dan Minahan to bring the influential but ultimately tragic life of fashion designer Roy Halston to the small screen. The executive producer/director of Netflix’s five-part series “Halston,” Minahan initially thought he would do a feature film version of the designer who came to fame in 1961 designing the pillbox Jackie Kennedy wore for the inauguration and then transformed fashion and Bff Liza Minnelli when he created the evocative, colorful costumes for her 1972 special “Liza With A Z.” But he developed a cocaine habit and spent his nights at Studio 54; his world collapsed in the 1980s.

As we see in numerous scenes on “Halston” — as well, of course, from the many, many stories that folks have shared about it over the past four decades — that place was crazy. An absolute madhouse of debauchery. And certainly too chaotic to last.

Halston himself (Ewan McGregor) was a well known Studio 54 attendee in real life, partying there as often as he could, and the show reflects that — he, Victor Hugo (Gian Franco Rodriguez), Liza Minnelli (Krysta Rodriguez), Elsa Peretti (Rebecca Dayan) and Joe Eula (David Pittu) go there all the time,...

In the early days of his career, fashion designer Halston developed a close relationship with another one of the greats: Elsa Peretti, the iconic Italian jewelry designer. In Ryan Murphy's Halston, Rebecca Dayan portrays the legendary jeweler, who first came up in the fashion world as one of Halston's models and best friends in the Studio 54 disco scene. Peretti collaborated with Halston extensively, helping him design his first iconic perfume bottle and creating trinkets for him. Eventually, Tiffany & Co. discovered her work and gave her the position of an in-house designer - not too long later, her rapport with Halston unfortunately broke down, as we see on the miniseries.

Fashion designer Halston’s tie-dye collection first dropped in the late 1960s. Silk chiffon was draped over the body and revolutionized fashion as stylish New Yorkers and celebrities such as Anjelica Huston donned the iconic couturier’s caftans.

That collection is one of the looks that’s faithfully re-created by costume designer Jeriana San Juan in the Netflix miniseries written by Ryan Murphy and starring Ewan McGregor in the title role.

“Halston,” which debuts May 14, traces the life of Roy Halston Frowick, the Bergdorf Goodman milliner who got his start as a Chicago hatmaker and shot to fame in the ’60s, becoming mononymic after designing First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy’s pillbox hat for her husband’s presidential inauguration in 1961.

The family of late fashion designer Roy Halston Frowick, professionally known as Halston, has issued a statement against Netflix’s upcoming series based on his life, calling it “inaccurate” and “fictionalized.”

“The Halston Archives and Family were not consulted on the upcoming Netflix series involving an inaccurate, fictionalized account of famed fashion designer, ‘Halston,'” the family said in a statement to the Associated Press. “The Halston Archives remains the only definitive and comprehensive source on the man and his legacy as the personally appointed custodian of his private papers and effects.”

Lesley Frowick, director of the Halston Archives and Halston’s niece, told Variety that the family was “never contacted” about the series, and were “collectively disappointed” by its production.

“I would like to let you know that in no way was the Halston family ever contacted about this production,” Frowick wrote in a statement to Variety. “Halston’s...

TBS announced that “Full Frontal with Samantha Bee” will be releasing a comedy special about gun reform called “Full Frontal Wants To Take Your Guns,” which will air on May 12 at 10:30 p.m.

The special will “explore how appalling and frankly stupid it is that we as Americans are told there’s simply nothing we can do about gun violence. Don’t even get us started on the whole “good guy with a gun” thing. It’s high time to figure out how America’s gun problem got this bad, and what we as citizens of this glorious mess can do to help fix it.”

Netflix dropped the trailer for Ryan Murphy’s limited series “Halston” starring Ewan McGregor in the title role of the iconic fashion designer. And seeing as the five-episode show is about how Halston became Halston, it’s only appropriate that this sneak peek begin with McGregor uttering these lines: “I have a vision. I’m going to change the face of American fashion.”

Set to Depeche Mode’s “Enjoy the Silence,” the rest of the 2-minute, 27-second trailer introduces us to Murphy’s take on Halston through his bold choices in both his career and his personal life.

HBO Max announced that Selena Gomez’s cooking show “Selena + Chef” has been renewed for Season 3.

New episodes of the series, in which Gomez teams up with all-star chefs to whip up delicious dishes while raising money for charity, will premiere later this year.

Millennium Media handles international sales.

IFC Films has picked up Us rights from Cinetic Media and Millennium Media to Sundance 2020 premiere Tesla starring Ethan Hawke.

Michael Almereyda wrote and directed the film about the efforts of Nikola Tesla, the pioneering electrical engineer and contemporary of Thomas Edison, to create an alternative current motor.

Starring alongside Hawke are Eve Hewson, Kyle MacLachlan, Jim Gaffigan, Donnie Keshawarz, Rebecca Dayan, Josh Hamilton, and Lucy Walters.

IFC Films said it has scheduled the film for release on August 7, 2020.

Tesla was awarded the Alfred P. Sloan Feature Film Prize in Park City, which Almereyda previously won in 2017 for Marjorie Prime.
