Nickelodeon Gives a Big Yes to The Haunted Hathaways
Whenever I happen to change the channel to Nickelodeon, without fail it will always be airing the latest episode of some bizarre creation that, for whatever reason, has somehow become popular. Please, don’t read that as negativity; weird is a better bet than trying to be plain, vanilla pudding normal. Just look at Adventure Time. That show is without a doubt this generation’s most strange concoction, but it deserves every ounce of popularity it’s managed to scrounge up. I can only hope Nickelodeon’s latest creation finds the same comfort zone of weirdness, especially since they’ve committed to 20 episodes. May I introduce to you Nickelodeon’s The Haunted Hathaways.

Coming from comedy writer-producer Robert Peacock, The Haunted Hathaways is the story of a very unconventionally blended family. No, we aren’t talking about a Scottsman who married a Persian and their wacky adventures – though that might be pretty cool.

Nickelodeon Picks Up Comedy ‘The Haunted Hathaways’ To Series With 20-Episode Order
Exclusive: Nickelodeon has handed a 20-episode order to The Haunted Hathaways, a half-hour project from veteran comedy writer-producer Robert Peacock. Created by Peacock, The Haunted Hathaways features an unconventional blended family and can be described as The Brady Bunch with a supernatural twist. It centers on a mom (Ginifer King) and her daughters (Amber Montana, Breanna Yde) who move to New Orleans and discover that their new house is already occupied by a dad (Chico Benymon) and his sons (Curtis Harris, Lil’ P-Nut)… who happen to be ghosts. Boyce Bugliari & Jamie McLaughlin, creators of the 2011 Nick series Bucket & Skinner’s Epic Adventures, have come on board as showrunners. The Haunted Hathaways was originally picked up to pilot in August. It joins another recently picked up Nickelodeon series, Dan Schneider’s Sam & Cat, starring iCarly‘s Jennette McCurdy and Victorious‘ Ariana Grande reprising their roles.

Episode Recap: Fringe - 3.07: "The Abducted"
If you didn't believe in monsters in your closet before, you might after this episode of Fringe (TV). Trust me, I checked behind my bedroom door before bed last night. Somewhere, an old man with bad teeth shaves his head, reciting a prayer. He's got a red "mark" on his skull, and he washes a weird serum over his skin. Elsewhere a little boy named Max (Michael Strusievici) is scared about monsters in his closet. His mother assures him that he's safe. She's wrong, however, when just as Max is about to fall asleep, the old man, wearing a silver mask jumps out and kidnaps him. Meanwhile, elsewhere in New York, Olivia (Anna Torv) meets up with her former taxi-driving buddy, Henry (Andre Royo), asking for his help getting her onto Liberty Island. Our Olivia is fully aware of who she is, and wants to go home. Henry agrees to...

Fringe S3E7 review
"The Abducted"

Unlikely as it is that any of the show's creators or writers have ever read my regular laments on the subject, it is nonetheless with pleasure that I can report that this week's episode of Fringe actually gave Lance Reddick something to do besides look good in a suit and send agents on missions in a bladder-rupturing deep bass voice. If the Fringe writers hadn't brought Andre Royo's cab-driver back this week (hurray!) only to throw his role away (boo!), I'd almost begin to think that Abrams and Co. actually liked The Wire instead of just wanting to lo-jack the kudos of its stars by including them in Fringe.

Our Olivia is stuck and desperate to make a bid for escape via Walternate's isolation chamber on Liberty Island. But first there's a case to solve: serial kid-kidnapper 'The Candyman' is on the loose in the red-titled Other Place,...

Fringe's Next Episodes Wet, Wild and Cancer-Free
Get ready to slip on your bathing suits, because Fringe is going back to the tank.

We know Walternate and Brandonym (it's just fun coming up with alternate reality pet-names for these people) plan to place Olivia back in the sensory deprivation tank to further their research into why she successfully crosses universes, but what does that nagging vision of Peter have to say about it?  The newest clip from "Amber 31422" let us in on Faux Faux-Livia's ghostly friend.

And it looks like Olivia won't be the only one with a visitor in upcoming episodes, as we've learned that Director Broyles (which universe's counterpart remains to be seen) will see his young son Christopher Broyles, as played by young actor Curtis Harris.  The meeting takes place in episode seven, "The Abducted," which also sees David Nykl playing "Reverend Marcus."

A young Broyles?  An abduction?  A member of the cloth?  Hmm.
