[Note: With the film now finally available on VOD in the UK, here's a reposting of our Frightfest review of Fubar, now retitled and released under the Frightfest Presents... banner as Killer Weekend]
Us Brits do comedy horror pretty well. Of course, everyone around the world knows about Shaun of the Dead but there’s along list of other great films in the sub genre. From Lesbian Vampire Killers to Severance to Doghouse to Inbred to Stitches to Sightseers. These cover all different types of comedy and horror too, so Killer Weekend does have plenty of competition (or good company).
As well as comedy horror, people from Britain are also known for being pretty good at ‘Stag do’s’ (bachelor parties) and Killer Weekend mixes both of these together. A group of friends and the father of the bride embark on a paint-ball war against the undead only things don’t go as...

Tagline: "It's All Fun and Games Until Someone Gets Hurt." The horror comedy Fubar is coming to audiences in the United Kingdom. From director Ben Kent (Love Bug), Fubar involves a wedding Stag and an old nuclear bunker. When the group opens the door to the bunker, something is released and a strange situation develops. This zombie title has been making its rounds on the film festival circuit; Fubar had a recent appearance at the LAMANOFest in Spain, this past November. Now, Fubar is getting set to release on DVD and Digital platforms, shortly. Fubar stars: Mark Heap (The World's End), Sean Verey (Dead Man Running), Danny Kirrane and David Mumeni. A preview of the film's impending UK home entertainment release is available here. A few early reviews have come in for Fubar. As a sidenote, Fubar is an old World War II and acronym. Its meaning should be known to everyone by now.

As if the lineup for Arrow Video FrightFest 2018 wasn't impressive enough, the festival has added two films to its slate: David Barker's Pimped (touted as an erotic thriller with a touch of Hitchcock and Brian De Palma appeal) and screenings of the restoration of John Carpenter's classic Halloween! The guest lineup includes Barbara Crampton, Leigh Whannell, Shaked Berenson (Tales of Halloween), Issa López (Tigers are not Afraid), composer Fabio Frizzi, and many more!
Press Release: Two extra films have been added to the record-breaking 2018 line-up: Pimped is director David Barker’s modern transgressive erotic thriller, an Hitchcocktail of elevated suspense and shock in the revered style of Brian De Palma, And If you’ve never seen John Carpenter’s Halloween on the big screen, now’s your best chance. The inclusion of this 4K restoration needs no explanation in anticipation of a new Michael Myers slasher being released in October.

Day four of watching nothing but horror films, and I still wish it could never end. Especially the shorts. Segment after segment, so many budding talents have been treating audiences to bite-sized genre treats through a large variety of stories.
That’s what I love about a properly executed short – you get all the enjoyment of a feature film, compressed down into a quicker and simpler format which saves time, offering the opportunity for multiple high points in one night. Well, let’s keep it rolling, and showcase the last batch of shorts from the New York City Horror Film Festival!

Remember when cutesy cheerleader type hotties with mousey voices and innocent charm were a turn on? The whole blonde next door with bangin’ good looks and a smoldering sex appeal used to be something you looked for? Oh, it still is? Well...

Bloody Cuts is an anthology of 13 low/no budget short horror films that are being released periodically on the internet for us all to feast our hungry peepers on. The team wowed us with their initial offering, Lock Up, and have now followed that up with an even more impressive bit of nastiness entitled Stitches
But don't be misled into thinking because the budget is low these films look like they were shot in someone's basement using a handheld camera and a Black and Decker worklight. What I've seen so far has not only looked very professional, but also (and more importantly) truly builds tension, the goal of every horror creator.
Stitches is reminiscent of the original Drew Barrymore scene from Scream, but then veers off in its own unique direction. The film, written by Ben Franklin (not that Ben Franklin, a different one) was directed by Ben Kent and stars Bethan Hanks,...
