Sarah Hyland's Law And Order Role, Explained
Image
While famous for playing Haley Dunphy on the sitcom Modern Family, Sarah Hyland appeared on Law & Order: Svu in a role that showcased her dramatic range. Hyland has mostly stuck to comedy for her career so far, appearing in The Wedding Year in 2020 and My Fake Boyfriend in 2022. Hyland's Law & Order: Svu appearances stand out for being among her darkest roles yet.

Although Modern Family was canceled after season 11, Hyland will always be best remembered for playing Haley, a character who shifts from a party girl to a mom by the end of the series. This The Walking Dead review contains spoilers.

The Walking Dead Season 10 Episode 2

Alpha, thus far, has been a character that's been dripped out in small doses along the course of The Whisperers arc. She's been present, and she's been in charge, but very little is known about how she pulled the group together.

All that's been on screen is how she escaped from her initial survivor group as told by an unreliable narrator in Lydia. The story kept changing until the truth eventually came out, despite Alpha's best efforts to brainwash her daughter into compliance. But how did Alpha transition into wearing the skin of the dead as camouflage and how did she gather up a group of like-minded survivors remains a mystery, save for one key follower,...

'Mistress America' Trailer Reunites Greta Gerwig and Noah Baumbach
Greta Gerwig and Lola Kirke in Mistress America (2015)
Following the first trailer that debuted back in June, Fox Searchlight Pictures has released the second trailer for Mistress America through Yahoo! Movies. This dramatic comedy marks the latest collaboration between actress Greta Gerwig and writer-director Noah Baumbach, who both co-wrote the script, following their indie hits Greenberg and Frances Ha. Mistress America also features newcomer Lola Kirke in what could be a breakout performance.

In Mistress America, Tracy (Lola Kirke) is a lonely college freshman in New York, having neither the exciting university experience nor the glamorous metropolitan lifestyle she envisioned. But when she is taken in by her soon-to-be stepsister, Brooke (Greta Gerwig) - a resident of Times Square and adventurous gal about town - she is rescued from her disappointment and seduced by Brooke's alluringly mad schemes. Greta Gerwig and Noah Baumbach also produce with Scott Rudin, Lila Yacoub and Rodrigo Teixeira.
