Felix Martiz is a Latino writer and filmmaker from East Los Angeles. Raised in a multicultural household by Ecuadorian and Mexican parents, he tells emotionally grounded stories centered on identity, quiet conflict, and personal reckoning. His films have screened internationally, aired on PBS, and earned multiple festival awards. A 2024 Latino Film Institute x Netflix Fellow, Felix is committed to telling nuanced stories that reflect underrepresented voices.
He has directed and produced over ten short films and a full-length feature. Through his extensive indie filmmaking experience, Felix has been invited to speak on international panels and conferences focused on Latinx filmmaking and independent film producing. He also mentors youth from underrepresented communities through the Youth Cinema Project, helping shape and inspire the next generation of storytellers. Felix holds a BA in Film and Electronic Media from California State University, Long Beach, and an MFA in Film and Television Production from Mount St. Mary's University.
