For eight seasons, Game of Thrones developed an incredibly extensive cast filled with some of the most memorable characters in modern television. Names like Cersei, Tyrion, and Daenerys became well-known even to people who hadn't seen the show, due simply to its enormous impact on pop culture at the time. They became so popular that real-world people even began giving their children names like Lyanna and Khaleesi.

However, along with these important figures, a vast multitude of side characters are scattered throughout the series. Some of them were naturally more memorable than others, even if all of them were somewhat relevant to the overarching narrative. In addition, there are also a few characters who played critically important roles in the show but are rarely thought of, with some even forgotten entirely.

Mötley Crüe have announced a 35th anniversary box set and vinyl reissues of their seminal 1989 album Dr. Feelgood. The various formats arrive November 22nd.

The box set will be available in both vinyl and CD formats. Disc 1 features a remastered version of the original album, while Discs 2 and 3 contain a Demos EP and Live EP, respectively, each running five tracks.

Abba guitarist Lasse Wellander has died at 70 years old, the musician’s family announced. The Sweden native died on Friday, April 7 after a battle with cancer.

Taking to Wellander’s official Facebook page, his family wrote, “It is with indescribable sadness that we have to announce that our beloved Lasse has fallen asleep. Lasse recently fell ill in what turned out to be spread cancer and early on Good Friday he passed away, surrounded by his loved ones.”

“You were an amazing musician and humble as few, but above all you were a wonderful husband, father, brother, uncle and grandfather. Kind, safe, caring and loving… and so much more, that cannot be described in words. A hub in our lives, and it’s unbelievable that we now have to live on without you.”

The post, written by his family members, Lena, Ludvig and Andréas, concluded, “We love and miss you so much.

Clarence Gilyard Jr. has passed away at age 66.

The “Top Gun” and “Die Hard” star’s career spanned more than 30 years, with him working as a film and theatre professor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas’ College of Fine Arts, before he died.

No cause of death has been given as of yet, Deadline reported.

Unlv Dean Nancy J. Uscher of Gilyard said of the late star, “His students were deeply inspired by him, as were all who knew him. He had many extraordinary talents and was extremely well-known in the university through his dedication to teaching and his professional accomplishments.

Donald Anthony St. Claire, one half of the lovable grandparents duo who competed in season 6 of “The Amazing Race”, has died. He was 87.

According to his obituary, Don died an hour and a half southeast of Sacramento, California in Angels Camp on Aug. 31. TMZ, which first broke the news Saturday, spoke to Don’s son, Greg, who told the outlet Don collapsed and died at his home. Greg also told TMZ the family believed he suffered some type of heart issue. The death came as a shock to the family, considering Don recently had a checkup with doctors and reportedly was told the results looked great.

Don and his wife, Mary Jean, appeared in season 6 of the hit CBS show and finished in eighth place. Their journey ended after they were eliminated in Germany.

Don and Mary are one of the oldest to ever compete in the long-running reality TV series.

Irene Cara, the actress and singer who starred in the 1980 movie “Fame” and then won an Oscar for co-writing the title track to the 1983 hit “Flashdance,” has died in her Florida home at age 63.

“It is with profound sadness that on behalf of her family I announce the passing of Irene Cara,” publicist Judith A. Moose wrote. “Her cause of death is currently unknown and will be released when information is available.

Born Irene Cara Escalar in the Bronx borough of New York City to a Puerto Rican father and a Cuban-American mother, she learned to play piano by ear at an early age and soon was taking lessons in music and dance. She was soon making appearances on Johnny Carson’s “The Tonight Show” and became a regular on PBS’ “The Electric Company” in the early 1970s.

Gene Perret, a three-time Emmy-winning writer on “The Carol Burnett Show” and “Three’s Company” producer, died on Nov. 15 at the age of 85 in his Westlake Village, California, home.

Perret died of liver failure, his daughter Linda said, per The Hollywood Reporter. In a separate Facebook post on Nov. 15, she wrote, “This is a post I wished I never had to write. There are so many words to describe Gene Perret — kind, talented, gracious, giving, loving, fun and not to be forgotten, funny. To many of you he was a mentor, a job he took very seriously and was very proud of, but to me he was the best Dad a girl could ask for. Today, we said good-bye to him and I’m heartbroken. Wilko Johnson, the guitarist with British blues-rock band Dr. Feelgood who had an unexpected career renaissance after being diagnosed with terminal cancer, has died. He was 75.

A statement posted Wednesday on Johnson’s official social media accounts on behalf of his family said the musician died Monday evening at his home in southeast England.

Born John Wilkinson in 1947, Johnson was raised on Canvey Island, a marshy, industrial oil town in England’s River Thames estuary. He studied Anglo-Saxon literature at Newcastle University and worked as a schoolteacher before forming Dr. Feelgood with other local friends.

At a time of flamboyant glam and indulgent prog rock, they played a then-unfashionable brand of blues and R&b, dressed in cheap suits that made them look, Johnson said later, like “shoddy bank robbers.”

The musician, known for his energetic on-stage persona and influence on the punk rock movement, passed away at home, according to a message on his social media accounts posted today.

In their own statement, the band posted: “We regret to hear of the death of Wilko Johnson.

Phyllis Carlyle, a casting director and manager who worked with such big names as Willem Dafoe, Jude Law and Geena Davis who later produced the hit films Seven and The Accidental Tourist, has died. She was 80.

She died September 14 of lymphoma in Encino, CA, according to her family and the Neptune Society.

This is a moving portrait of a remarkable man, which is at its most effective when it just lets him speak.

"If it's going to kill me," says Wilko Johnson, influential British rock guitarist, and subject of Julien Temple's new documentary, "I don't want it to bore me." The Essential Arts/Nitrate Film Production doc, from producers Richard Conway and Andrew Curtis, follows the remarkable story of acclaimed musician Wilko Johnson who was told he only had months to live after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer but staged a remarkable recovery while still managing to tour.

The film is in the latter stages of post-production and will premiere at SXSW this March.

London, Sep 2: Singer, guitarist and songwriter Wilko Johnson, who was diagnosed with inoperable pancreatic cancer last year, says it was fun working in TV show "Game of Thrones".

The 66-year-old had never heard of the show when he was offered a part and only accepted the role in the hope of getting a free leather jacket.

"They said it was for an American TV series and I thought it was going to be like 'Xena: Princess Warrior' so I thought, 'I'd love a bit of that, at least I'll get a leather jacket out of it or something'," dailymirror.co.uk quoted Johnson as saying.

According to his website, the four UK dates represent a series of farewell concerts for Wilko. After returning from a tour of Japan, Wilko plans to record a new studio album, and will also release a live DVD from 2012's UK tour.

He is also planning a short tour of France.

Wilko Johnson, the 65-year-old actor who played the part of Ilyn Payne in HBO's "Game of Thrones," has terminal pancreatic cancer and will not be receiving chemotherapy, according to news reports.

"He is currently in good spirits, is not yet suffering any physical effects and can expect to enjoy at least another few months of reasonable health and activity," a statement from Johnson's manager stated, as reported by The Guardian.

In 2012, 43,920 people are estimated to have developed pancreatic cancer and 37,390 people are estimated to have died from the disease, according to the National Cancer Institute.
