Mr. Crocket is a Hulu horror film with an outstanding cast of veteran actors and newcomers alike. The new film contends with the best horror movies on Hulu, offering a unique take on the genre for the Halloween season. Mr. Crocket has an immensely alluring premise for VHS-raised horror fans: the host of a children's TV show (a cross between Pee-wee Herman and Mister Rogers with ill-fitting porcelain chompers and a hopping cadence) is actually a supernatural entity who murders neglectful and abusive parents. His method of dispensation is reminiscent of A Nightmare on Elm Street's Freddy Krueger, as he transmogrifies the world to a brutally cartoonish bent. In his world, bullets become bubbles, playtime never ends and much grislier things occur. Directed by Brandon Espy (responsible for the short of the same name featured as part of Hulu's Bite Size Halloween), Mr. Crocket is, in effect, fights a losing battle to live up to its conceit. The movie does itself a massive disservice in attempting to execute the long-lived fantasy of anyone who feels like sing-along tapes don't have enough gore.

Last Days of the Space Age is an Australian drama series created by David Chidlow. The upcoming Hulu series is set in 1979 in Perth, Western Australia and it revolves around three families after the American space station Skylab crash landed on earth just outside the city. Last Days of the Space Age stars Sam Delich, Jesse Spencer, Deborah Mailman, Iain Glen, Linh-Dan Pham, Thomas Weatherall, and George Mason.

Hulu’s set its annual Huluween lineup, which will include Ryan Murphy’s latest FX series Grotesquerie starring Niecy Nash-Betts, Courtney B. Vance, and Travis Kelce. The Halloween celebration features a new season of American Horror Stories and Halloween specials from Solar Opposites and Family Guy.

The final season of What We Do in the Shadows and Reginald the Vampire season two join Hulu’s lineup, along with Hold Your Breath starring Sarah Paulson. Plus, M. Night Shyamalan’s The Sixth Sense, Signs, The Happening, and Unbreakable bring the chills during this year’s Huluween event.

Exclusive: Jerrika Hinton (Hunters) and Elvis Nolasco (Godfather of Harlem) have wrapped lead roles in Mr. Crocket, a horror film produced for Hulu Originals by WorthenBrooks (formerly 20th Digital Studio), which will premiere exclusively on Hulu later this year.

Directed by up-and-comer Brandon Espy, from his script written with Carl Reid, Mr. Crocket is based on the 2022 short of the same name, written and directed by Espy for Hulu’s Bite Size Halloween. The story is about a mother who goes on a dangerous journey to get her son back when a demonic children’s show host begins kidnapping children.

Danny and Baez handle a strange homicide case on CBS’s Blue Bloods season 14 episode six. Directed by Jackeline Tejada from a script by Yasmine Cadet, episode six – “Shadowland” – will air on Friday, April 12, 2024 at 10pm Et/Pt.

Fans have rallied to help The Bold and the Beautiful alum Kristolyn Lloyd after she revealed she was facing eviction from her New York apartment. The actress, who played Dayzee Leigh on the hit daytime soap opera from 2010 to 2013, took to Instagram earlier this month, opening up about the dire situation. “I am posting this because, full transparency: Ya girl isn’t doing well,” she wrote before revealing she had “been served eviction papers” by her landlord. She continued, “I am battling my ego and shame right now asking for help but — with the support of my friends — I have been encouraged to reach out to my community. So, here it is: I need help.” Lloyd, who has also appeared in episodes of Madam Secretary, Kevin Can Wait, Elementary, and Chicago Med, said she owed her landlord back-pay from the pandemic and the two work stoppages last year due to the writers’ and actors’ strikes.

The scene of “Paradise Blue,” Dominique Morisseau’s black-and-bluesy play, is the Paradise Club, a drink and dance joint in Paradise Valley, the entertainment district of Detroit‘s black community known in 1949 as Blackbottom. The drinks are strong, the rooms are cheap, and you can hear live music by terrific jazzmen like Blue, who plays a mean trumpet when he isn’t too depressed to lift his horn to his lips.

Program notes inform us that Paradise Valley is not long for this world, doomed to fall under the wrecking-ball projects that would soon “urban-renew” the entire black community out of existence. That bit of background lends a good deal of perspective to the play, and it’s too bad that the playwright didn’t make it integral to her plot-thin drama. Lacking that kind of thematic core, the play restricts itself to being an atmospheric but insubstantial slice of dramatic life.

At the 60th Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday Night, "Dear Evan Hansen" won for Best Musical Theater Album. That win meant Grammys for former soap opera actors Michael Park (ex-Jack, As the World Turns) and Kristolyn Lloyd (ex-Dayzee, The Bold and the Beautiful).

Dear Evan Hansen fans theater fans: Today is going to be a good day and here’s why! People’s got the exclusive first look at Noah Galvin in the hit musical.

The 23-year-old Real O’Neals alum is making his Broadway debut as the title character in the Tony-winning show on Tuesday, for a run that will continue through mid-January 2018.

He’s the first actor to take over the role from original star Ben Platt, who departed the production on Sunday. Taylor Trensch, currently playing Barnaby Tucker in Hello, Dolly! opposite Bette Midler, will play the part from there.

Stars from “Dear Evan Hansen,” “A Bronx Tale,” “Wicked,” and beyond made their way to the Highline Ballroom on Oct. 30 for “Love Letter to Houston,” a benefit concert for victims of Hurricane Harvey, organized by Houston native and “Evan Hansen” actor Kristolyn Lloyd. Proceeds from the event, which also featured a live auction hosted by Will Roland, went entirely to the Houston Food Bank. Additionally, every piece performed throughout the evening was, notably, written by a Houstonian including Beyoncé (Olivia Puckett singing “I’m a Survivor”), Edward Albee (Lora Lee Gayer performing an excerpt from “A Delicate Balance”), and Johnny Nash (Lloyd herself performing “I Can See Clearly”). The 22-time Grammy winner, 36, treated herself to a showing of the Tony-winning Dear Evan Hansen at the Music Box Theatre on Thursday evening and surprised leading man Ben Platt and the cast by meeting them after the show.

“It happened,” Platt, 23, captioned a photo of him chatting with Queen Bey on Twitter. Meanwhile, on Instagram, he wrote: “The alien called me an alien and I’m no longer living.”

Gina Rodriguez's performance on Jane the Virgin has earned her a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a TV Comedy, but her latest project lives online. Rodriguez is one of the co-stars of I Love Lucy & Bekka, a web series that shares the intimate conversations between a pair of roommates.

I Love Lucy & Bekka stars Rodriguez and Kristolyn Lloyd (The Bold And The Beautiful) as a pair of young women who are entirely frank with one another. Creator Rachael Holder describes the series as "a fly on the wall experience of hanging out with two girls with a unique outlook on life." The episodes are single scene affairs characterized by soft-spoken dialogues and steady camerawork. In the debut, Lucy and Bekka hang out in the bathroom and discuss Bekka's singing voice

The 45th Annual NAACP Image Awards went off without a hitch earlier this evening (February 22) with "12 Years a Slave" continuing to make waves snagging the biggest prize of the night.

Before her film won Outstanding Motion Picture, the gorgeous Lupita Nyong'o added another piece of hardware to her already impressive collection taking home a trophy for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture, while Kerry Washington snagged up her second Image Award with a win for Best Actress in a Dramatic Series. Kerry's show "Scandal" also won Outstanding Drama Series.

In addition, the hilarious Kevin Hart took home Entertainer of the Year, while Oprah Winfrey paid tribute to the late Nelson Mandela with a touching speech and musical dedication.

"He was everything we have all have heard and more. He was humble and he was unscathed by any kind of bitterness after all that we know he's been through," Winfrey said.

The 45th NAACP Image Awards were presented Saturday night (Feb. 22), with names like Kevin Hart, Kerry Washington, "12 Years a Slave" director Steve McQueen and Lupita Nyong'o being honored.

Adding their picks to the awards season deluge, the 45th Annual NAACP Image Awards unveiled the official list of nominees.

Not surprisingly, “The Butler” will compete in categories including Outstanding Motion Picture, Outstanding Actor, Outstanding Supporting Actor & Actress and Writing.

Meanwhile, Kerry Washington’s “Scandal” is up for Outstanding Drama Series, and Ms. Washington herself received a nod for Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series.

NAACP Chairman Roslyn M. Brock gushed, “This has been an incredible year from the artistic community, with phenomenal contributions across the board from the music, television, motion picture, and literature genres that have the power and impact to drive social change.”

The 45th Annual NAACP Image Awards will go live on Friday, February 21st.

The NAACP Image Awards have announced the nominees for their 44th annual awards show during a live press conference from the Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills, CA. Anthony Anderson (Guys with Kids), Niecy Nash (The Soul Man), Yvette Nicole Brown (Community), Garcelle Beauvais (Flight), Tyler James Williams (Go On), and Zendaya (Shake It Up!) announced the categories and nominees.

The NAACP Image Awards celebrates the accomplishments of people of color in the fields of television, music, literature and film and also honors individuals or groups who promote social justice through creative endeavors. Beloved "Everwood" patriarch Treat Williams will be visiting NBC's "Chicago Fire" in the new year, according to TV Guide.

Williams will play Benny Severide, the father of Taylor Kinney's character, Kelly.
