José De Vega

José de Vega started his career in his native Spain and made his stage
debut in 1969 with Lope de Vega's "La estrella de Sevilla", starring
Marisa Paredes, at the prestigious Spain's National Theatre in Madrid,
followed by Unamuno's version of "Medea", starring Nati Mistral. After
small parts in films such as "Cuadrilatero", directed by Eloy de la
Iglesia, Eugenio Martin's "Tengamos la guerra en paz" and Jaime de
Arminan's "Carola de dia, Carola de noche", he left acting... and it
took him more than three decades to come back, this time in Los Angeles
where he has lived since 1985. After appearing in shorts and student
films, including AFI's "The Two Conquerors", he made his stage come
back at the Ricardo Montalban Theatre in Hollywood as "Bizco Porras" in
the zarzuela "Luisa Fernanda", followed by Lope de Vega's "Don Juan
Tenorio", in the starring role of "Don Gonzalo de Ulloa" at the
Billingual Foundation of the Arts in Los Angeles. He also starred in the production of "Cita a Ciegas" by Mario Diament at the Frida Khalo Theatre,in Los Angeles in 2016, followed by another turn as "Don Gonzalo de Ulloa" in the BFA production of "El Burlador de Sevilla", that same year.
On TV, he has appeared in guest starring roles in the series "Secretos" for channel 62 in Los Angeles and in two episodes of "Camino a la justicia" for Azteca America, as well as one episode of "Call 911" and the role of "Jose" the father of Angelica Vale in the novela "No me hallo" for Univision. Most recently he has appeared in episodes of "Real Rob", with Rob Schneider, as "neighbor", "Scandal", as "John Brinkley" and "Jane the Virgin", as "Alejandro".
He has appeared in more than twenty commercials and lent his voice to many commercials and industrials as well as video games, including "Red Dead Redemption".
