‘Do You See Me?’ Brings Clown Terror to Digital Screens

Clown horror is taking centre stage once again with Do You See Me?, a new thriller set to debut on-demand and across digital platforms from Friday, January 17. Directed by Corbin Timbrook, the film delves into the deep fears surrounding clowns, offering a suspenseful tale that explores the devastating effects of relentless stalking.

The Horror Collective Acquires ‘Do You See Me?’ Amid Revival of Clown-Themed Scary Movies

The Horror Collective, the genre label of boutique distribution company Entertainment Squad, has acquired worldwide rights to the clown-themed horror film Do You See Me? and will release it across English-speaking territories on Jan. 17.

Directed by Corbin Timbrook, the movie follows Emily Edwards, portrayed by Rya Meyers (who has appeared in episodes of How to Get Away With Murder, MacGyver) who becomes the target of relentless stalking by a sinister clown. The film also stars Philip Boyd as Randy and Lisa London as Sarah Edwards.

“Clown-themed horror films have seen a resurgence in recent years, with massive hits like the Terrifier franchise reigniting audiences’ love for this niche but deeply terrifying subgenre,” said Shaked Berenson, CEO of Entertainment Squad. “We believe Do You See Me? taps into that cultural moment while offering its own unique, suspense-driven take that fans will love.”

As a teen just getting into the world of low-budget horror movies, and straight to VHS fare, there were a handful of directors whose work I would buy and/or rent without fail and without any prior knowledge (besides the spiel on the back of the box) of what i was getting into. One of those directors was Fred Olen Ray, the genius behind such films as Scalps, Star Slammer, Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers, Evil Toons, Cyclone and the awesome Scream Queen Hot Tub Party.
