Guy Ritchie Exits Sequel to Amazon’s Underrated Action Remake in Major Director Shakeup
Image
Amazon MGM Studios' upcoming sequel to the Road House remake has hit some major turbulence. Filmmaker Guy Ritchie had been on board to direct, but shortly ahead of production, it's been revealed that this is no longer the case.

Per Deadline, Ritchie has exited the project, no longer set to direct Road House 2. The project was slated to start filming this fall, but even with Ritchie's departure, the plan is for the movie to move forward with its planned shooting schedule. A search is now underway for a new director amid continued casting. It's unclear why Ritchie exited the project at this time, as neither the director nor the studio have provided an official comment.

The word is that Jake Gyllenhaal will reprise his role from the previous film as Dalton, an ex-UFC fighter who is a reimagined version of Patrick Swayze's character from the original Road House.

Jake Gyllenhaal is all set to throw fists once again as the best “cooler” in the Florida Keys in Amazon’s action movie sequel, Road House 2...but the actor may have met an opponent that even he can’t match if the latest rumor surrounding the follow-up is true. Netflix will adapt the newest Robert Langdon story from Dan Brown into a series
Tom Hanks and Audrey Tautou in The Da Vinci Code (2006)
The puzzle-solving character from the Da Vinci Code novel is getting a new small-screen adaptation. In 2021, Peacock attempted to bring Robert Langdon to an episodic form with the series The Lost Symbol. Based on the 2009 novel by Dan Brown, The Lost Symbol starred Ashley Zukerman as young Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon as he must solve a series of deadly puzzles to save his kidnapped mentor and thwart a chilling global conspiracy. In addition to Zukerman, The Lost Symbol also starred Valorie Curry, Sumalee Montano, Rick Gonzalez, Eddie Izzard and Beau Knapp.

Unfortunately, The Lost Symbol failed to resonate with audiences and the show was canceled after one season. Netflix is hoping to find the pulse of viewers that Peacock couldn’t quite put their finger on. The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Netflix is developing a show on The Secret of Secrets, which is the latest novel from author Dan Brown.

Tulsa King Season 3: Everything We Know So Far
Image
Sylvester Stallone might have a new title as President Trump's "special ambassador to Hollywood," but he's still sitting on the throne as the "Tulsa King." Yes, the Paramount+ juggernaut, one in a long line of Taylor Sheridan produced series, will be returning for a third season.

It makes sense that actor turned prolific TV creative has been able to create so many of these shows (considering he wrote the "Tulsa King" pilot in less than 24 hours), and yet, despite the quick script, some say "Tulsa King" may be Sheridan's best work (or at least the most entertaining of the bunch). The tale of Dwight "The General" Manfredi (Stallone) and rise from exiled New York mafia soldier to kingpin of Tulsa, Oklahoma has produced some of the funniest, strangest characters in the entire Sheridan universe. It has also helped turn the show into a hit for Paramount+, which has...

Production on Tulsa King Season 3 began back in March in Atlanta and Oklahoma, with Stallone returning to lead the cast as Dwight, the exiled New York mobster-turned-Oklahoma crime lord. Pollak joins a stacked ensemble that includes returning stars Martin Starr, Jay Will, Annabella Sciorra, Garrett Hedlund, Dana Delany, Vincent Piazza, Neal McDonough, and Robert Patrick, alongside newcomers like Frank Grillo, Michael Beach, James Russo,...

'Road House 2' Will See Jake Gyllenhaal Reunite With Director Guy Ritchie
Image
The Jake Gyllenhaal-led remake of the 80s action classic Road House was a big hit for Amazon last year, and the sequel has now snatched up the perfect director. After some rumor and speculation, it has now been confirmed that Gyllenhaal will reunite with The Covenant director Guy Ritchie for Road House 2, with Will Beall writing the script.

As per a report by Deadline, plot details for Road House 2 are currently being kept under wraps, with Ritchie taking over the reins for the action franchise from the first outing’s Doug Liman following the latter’s frustration with Amazon skipping theaters and debuting the movie on their streaming platform Prime Video. It is not yet known whether the sequel will do the same or hit the big screen.

Released last year and directed by Doug Liman from a screenplay written by Anthony Bagarozzi (The Nice Guys) and...

New 'Tulsa King' Season 3 Image Sees Sylvester Stallone Return to New York
Image
Tulsa King will return under new management for the upcoming third season of the show, with a new showrunner, Dave Erickson, taking the reins to bring a continual level of gangster ease to the mob drama. Premiering in November 2022, the Paramount+ series is created by Taylor Sheridan and follows the journey of Sylvester Stallone's Dwight Manfredi, a New York mafia capo, exiled to Tulsa despite spending a long stint in prison to protect his crime family. Ahead of the highly anticipated third season, we have our first look at the General, and it would seem like he has returned to familiar territory in Season 3.

Erickson's arrival as Tulsa King's new showrunner should excite fans, as the showrunner has worked on a similar project, namely Paramount+'s Mayor of Kingstown. With production on the new season now underway, Stallone recently shared a new preview of Tulsa King season 3 on...

Robert Patrick Swears Vengeance Against Sylvester Stallone Ahead of 'Tulsa King' Season 3
Image
There’s unfinished business in Tulsa — and Robert Patrick is ready to settle the score. Paramount+’s Tulsa Kingis turning up the heat in Season 3 by reuniting two action icons with some serious history. Patrick has officially joined the cast, stepping into the role of liquor kingpin Jeremiah Dunmire — what a great name — and he's got one target in his crosshairs: Sylvester Stallone’s Dwight “The General” Manfredi. And if you’re sensing some déjà vu, you’re not alone. Fans of 1997’s Cop Land will remember Stallone’s small-town sheriff gunning down Patrick’s corrupt cop in a slow-motion, shotgun-to-the-chest showdown. Now, nearly three decades later, Patrick’s ready to return fire — with a vengeance.

“You got me last time @TheSlyStallone (aka ‘The General’)… Let’s see how we do @TulsaKing Season 3! I’m coming for you!” Patrick teased on X.

What Can We Expect From 'Tulsa King' Season 3?...

Tulsa King 3: Robert Patrick Wants Revenge From Sylvester Stallone for What He Did to Him 28 Years Ago
Image
Tulsa King Season 3 is bringing back more than just mob drama, it’s reviving an old on-screen rivalry nearly three decades in the making. Robert Patrick is officially stepping into the ring, and he’s not exactly planning a warm welcome for Sylvester Stallone’s Dwight “The General” Manfredi.

The casting news alone has fans buzzing, but what’s fueling the hype even more is Patrick’s playful tease about unfinished business. With a history between these two action legends, Season 3 might just serve up some long-awaited revenge TV-style, of course.

'Road House 2' Reportedly Eyeing Guy Ritchie To Direct
Image
The “cooler” will return, as a hot new rumor finally offers an update on the highly anticipated action movie sequel, Road House 2. While Amazon did not release anything about the project during CinemaCon, a new report claims that none other than Snatch and The Gentlemen director Guy Ritchie is now in talks to helm the movie, taking over from the first outing's Doug Liman, with Will Beall penning the script. Coming courtesy of Puck News, this would see Ritchie reunite with both Prime Video and Road House star Jake Gyllenhaal following the 2023 war movie, The Covenant.

Released last year and directed by Doug Liman from a screenplay written by Anthony Bagarozzi (The Nice Guys) and Charles Mondry (Doc Savage), Road House stars Jake Gyllenhaal as Elwood Dalton alongside UFC champion fighter Conor McGregor, Billy Magnussen (The Many Saints of Newark), Daniela Melchior (The Suicide Squad), Gbemisola Ikumelo (A League of Their Own...

I say this because Robert Patrick will join the cast of Tulsa King alongside Beau Knapp for Season 3 of the Taylor Sheridan-created series at Paramount+. Realizing that his mob family may not have his best interests in mind, Dwight slowly builds a “crew” from a group of unlikely characters to help him establish a new criminal empire in a place that might as well be another planet.

For Tulsa King Season 2, Dwight (Stallone) and his crew continue to build up and defend their growing empire in Tulsa. But just as they get their bearings,...
