Teaser Trailer for 'Operation Hadal' Chinese Navy Action Thriller Movie
Image
"We have to sink it!" Well Go USA has posted the teaser trailer for Operation Hadal, a Chinese action thriller from filmmaker Dante Lam. This jingoistic movie is about the Chinese Navy going all out to defend an offshore platform in the sea. It's set for a US release at the end of February after originally opening in China this month first. The offshore platform Deep Blue 3 in Chinese territorial water has been occupied by mercenaries. The Chinese Navy sets sail then to repel invaders as the Jiao Long commando team prepares for a fierce fight in the deep sea. So this is mostly a movie about the Chinese Navy being badass and taking out bad guys (they've been making these for years - also see The Battle at Lake Changjin). Starring Xuan Huang, Yosh Yu, Bryan Larkin, Luxia Jiang, Karry Wang, Kelvin Taylor, Sean Kohnke, Cory Beeston. Half of...

Full Us Trailer for Dante Lam's Latest Action Movie 'Operation Red Sea'
"This mission is a message to all terrorists." Well Go USA has released an official trailer for an action movie titled Operation Red Sea, made by Hong Kong filmmaker Dante Lam, who last made the action movie Operation Mekong. This sort-of-sequel is about the Chinese Navy's elite Jiaolong Assault Team who gear up and head into action when a terrorist plot to obtain nuclear materials is hidden under the cover of a violent coup. This pretty much looks if Michael Bay was from China, with all of his usual explosive touches. It also seems perhaps like a Chinese propaganda movie about how great their navy is. The huge cast includes Yi Zhang, Johnny Huang, Hai-Qing, Jiang Du, Luxia Jiang, Fang Yin, Yutian Wang, Jiahao Guo, and Henry Prince Mak. This also takes place mostly in the desert, despite the "Red Sea" part of the title. Here's the official Us trailer...

‘Ip Man: The Final Fight’ Blu-ray Review
Stars: Anthony Wong, Gillian Chung, Jordan Chan, Eric Tsang, Marvel Chow, Chuchu Zhou, Timmy Hung, Luxia Jiang, Anita Yuen, Hung Yan Yan | Written by Erica Lee | Directed by Herman Yau

In postwar Hong Kong, Ip Man is reluctantly called into action once more, when what begins as simple challenges from rival kung fu schools, leads to him becoming face to face with the dangerous underworld of the Triads. To defend himself and those he cares about, Ip Man must stand and fight one last time. This masterful biopic proves essential viewing for anyone familiar to the Ip Man saga, encasing sensational action sequences within a compelling drama.

Ip Man: The Final Fight comes from director Herman Yau, who previously helmed Ip Man: The Legend Is Born, the prequel film released inbetween Ip Man 2 and 3. And like Yau’s previous Ip Man movie, this sequel, which follows on from the...

DVD Review: Lesbian Vampire Warriors
Lesbian Vampire Warriors

Stars: Luxia Jiang, Wah Yuen, Chrissie Chow, Siu-hou Chin, Pinky Cheung, Rock Ji, Rachel Lam | Written and Directed by Dennis Law

Described as a “Twilight-inspired Chinese vampire thriller” Lesbian Vampire Warriors is as far from Twilight as you can get. It’s obvious advertising spiel of course to try get vampire fans to show some interest, but in a world where most vampire fans hate even the mention of Twilight it’s to be hoped this does not turn people off, because this film deserves more.

Ar is a vampire hunter, and very much human. She befriends a vampire Max who she agrees she’ll let live as long as she does not kill any humans. Along with Max comes her family, these vampires could be described as quite melodramatic as they spend most of the time wanting to feel something, but of course as they are...

Teaser For ‘Once Upon A Time In Shanghai’ (Sammo Hung, Yuen Woo Ping)
Cast

Philip Ng

Sammo Hung

Andy On

Luxia Jiang

Director: Wong Ching-Po

Action Director: Yuen Woo Ping

Also Known As:

Da Shang Hai Tan Zhi Ma Yong Zhen

Country: Hong Kong

Language: Cantonese

Release Date: 2012

Genre: Action, Drama

Set in the 1920s, the film stars Philip Ng as a poor labourer from Shandong who moves to Shanghai with a dream of making his fortune. The script from what is said here, sounds a lot like Boxer From Shantung (1972), which starred Chen Kuan Tai.

Action legend Yuen Woo Ping is on board to choreograph the fight scenes, which means we should be in for a real treat and with Sammo Hung co-starring, i really cant wait to see this movie. The trailer feels like one of the old openings for a Shaw Brothers movie, hope the kung fu is top notch for this one.

No release date just yet, but...

King of Triads (2011)
Written and directed by: Dennis King

Cast: Bernice Liu, Andy On, Luxia Jiang, Simon Yam, Eddie Cheung, Lok-yi Lai

King of Triads (Aka Bad Blood) would have you believe that police in Hong Kong would gladly put their guns aside to fight with criminals who possess mad fighting skills. In fact, it would appear that everyone in writer/director Dennis King’s fantastic world would rather fight to the death with any weapon but a gun. There also seems to be an unspoken code of honor that specifies large groups of fighters can never overpower a smaller group. One against 20 sounds insurmountable unless, as in Triad world, you’ve got an angry, stick-wielding mob with manners.

What exactly is going on in the mind of Thug #12 as he waits patiently in a corner while his peers are being beaten to a bloody pulp? Maybe he’s thinking that he needs...

Filming of “Princess and Seven Kung-fu Masters” (Sammo Hung) Video
Princess And Seven Kung Fu masters is the latest project from director Wong Jing (City Hunter) and will star kung fu legends Sammo Hung and Yuen Wah.

Plot

During the early years of the Republic era, in the North-East region of China, the people are suffering from the power struggle among the local Warlords, bandits, and Japanese invaders. Warlord Lam (Sammo Hung), is not a leader of great vision, but having a patriotic heart, stands firm in his own beliefs, despite the several solicitations and temptations from Japan.

The only ‘paradise’ within the region is ‘Lucky Town’, the one place where no one dared to attack. Rumors abound that this place is cursed, for whenever anyone attempted to invade Lucky Town, they would disappear and vanish without a trace. In reality, there are seven kung fu masters who have retreated into the shadows and resided here. They are Manysons (Eric...
